You genuinely want the people you love to know Jesus. But when the moment comes, you freeze. You overthink it. You worry about saying the wrong thing, making it awkward, or pushing someone away—and the moment passes. But some people are one conversation or invitation away from encountering Jesus. They just need someone who cares enough to say something. In this episode of the Live Changed Podcast, we get real about what it actually looks like to talk about Jesus in everyday life—without pressure, without a script, and without making it weird. You'll hear why most people aren't rejecting Jesus, they're reacting to how he's been presented, and how shifting your focus from convincing to caring changes everything. Jun 21st | Fathers day | Psalm 78:1-8In this powerful Father's Day message, Derrick Jackson opens with the remarkable story of his grandfather, a World War II veteran who landed in Normandy just days after D-Day and carried both the scars of battle and a legacy of quiet faithfulness. Through that story, Derrick draws a compelling connection to Psalm 78, where Asaph reminds God's people that every generation is responsible for passing on the stories of God's faithfulness. Why do stories matter? Because the most important stories are always one generation away from being forgotten. In Psalm 78, we discover that faith rarely dies in open rebellion—it usually dies in silence. Derrick challenges parents, grandparents, church leaders, and every believer to embrace their calling as storytellers of God's grace, mercy, provision, and salvation. This message explores three timeless truths: the stories must be heard, the stories must be told, and the stories must produce hope. Along the way, listeners are reminded that the greatest story ever told is the Gospel of Jesus Christ—the story of a Savior who lived, died, and rose again to redeem sinners and transform families for generations to come.Whether you're a parent seeking to leave a spiritual legacy, a believer who has grown silent about God's work in your life, or someone searching for hope in Christ, this message will encourage you to make sure the story survives.Do you know JESUS? https://www.nbgilmer.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER? https://www.nbgilmer.org/praySupport through GIVING: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving
Jun 21st | Fathers Day | Psalms 112 What kind of man are you becoming? In this powerful Father's Day message from Psalm 112, Pastor Matt Darby challenges men to consider the impact of their lives on their families, their faith, and future generations. God has strategically placed fathers and husbands to be a formative spiritual influence in the home, and the kind of man you are becoming matters more than you may realize.Psalm 112 paints a picture of the man who fears the Lord—a man whose heart is firm, whose leadership is steady, and whose life brings strength and blessing to those around him. Pastor Matt explores what it means to become an unshakable man: rooted in reverence for God, committed to shaping future generations, faithful in stewarding resources, steadfast in uncertain times, and marked by grace, mercy, and righteousness.Whether you feel confident in your role as a spiritual leader or burdened by past mistakes, this message offers hope and a reminder that it is never too late to begin walking closely with Jesus. God's grace is sufficient, and the direction of your life can change today.Do you know JESUS? https://www.nbgilmer.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER? https://www.nbgilmer.org/praySupport through GIVING: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving
Jun 21st | Fathers Day | Deuteronomy 6:1-15 In this special Father's Day message, Kyle Riley unpacks Deuteronomy 6:1–15 and the powerful challenge of the Shema—God's blueprint for building a faith that lasts for generations. Far from a typical Father's Day sermon, this message explores how fathers carry unseen burdens, plant spiritual seeds, and shape the future of their families through everyday faithfulness.Drawing from the law of the harvest, Kyle reminds us that the seeds we sow today become the blessings—or struggles—our children and grandchildren experience tomorrow. Through the four movements of the Shema—Love God, Confess God, Remember God, and Serve God—listeners will discover that spiritual leadership isn't found in occasional grand moments, but in the daily atmosphere created through consistent words, actions, and devotion to God.Kyle also shares the personal story behind the "Riley Creed," a simple family declaration designed to engrave biblical truth into the hearts of his sons through repetition, discipleship, and intentional parenting. Whether you're a father, parent, grandparent, or spiritual mentor, this message offers practical encouragement for building a legacy of faith that outlives you.Your family doesn't need perfection—they need faithfulness. Start planting today, and trust God with the harvest.Do you know JESUS? https://www.nbgilmer.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER? https://www.nbgilmer.org/praySupport through GIVING: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving

Two men. Two paths. Two very different legacies. In Mark 6:14-29, we meet Herod, a man with power but no conviction, and John the Baptist, a man with conviction but no power (seemingly). One compromised when the pressure came. The other stood firm even when it cost him everything. This Father's Day, we were reminded that strong men don't drift with the current. Strong men face the truth, refuse compromise, and stand anyway. Living for truth will cost you, but compromising it will cost you more.Need Prayer?

Ian Banner was asked to set up a prayer ministry team at a church. He was careful about who he approached — looking for humility and grace, not just gifting. Then someone he hadn't contacted approached him, demanding a place on the team, telling him God had confirmed her gifting to pray for others. He asked one question: when had she last gone forward for prayer herself? Her answer — "I don't need prayer, they do" — is the starting point for this Walk and Talk episode on what Ian calls mutual vulnerability: the principle that you cannot pray well for someone unless you know from the inside what it costs to stand at the front and need God in a room full of people.Drawing on James 5:16 and his own test for assessing whether someone is ready to pray for others, Ian makes the case that the best credential for prayer ministry isn't gifting or experience — it's being a regular responder yourself. We have reached the finale of our Glitch series, a month-long conversation about what it truly means to be human in a machine world. After exploring awe, agency, and identity, host Matt Summers sits down with teaching pastor Phil EuBank to tackle the final, most vulnerable layer of this cultural moment: intimacy. Reflecting on the real-time feedback from the Menlo Church lobby over the last few weeks, Matt and Phil unpack how living in a hyper-optimized, digital environment has quietly exposed a profound undercurrent of loneliness and exhaustion in our community. This episode dives deep into the weekend message, "Going Offline," moving past abstract fears of AI companions to look at the immediate reality of how technology is actively retraining us. When we become accustomed to frictionless, digital interactions, our tolerance for real-world relational messiness plummets. Phil challenges us to consider a sobering reality: relationships that never push and pull only take and never give. By looking at Jesus' invitation in Matthew 11 and Paul's words on being "fully known" in 1 Corinthians 13, this conversation serves as a beautiful, practical roadmap for recovering our humanity through the slow, messy, and restorative work of real community.
We all carry struggles, setbacks, and wounds that can leave us feeling stuck. In this message, Pastor Saul explores the story of Jacob and reveals how God can use our failures, weaknesses, and painful experiences to shape our character and strengthen our faith. Discover why your past doesn't have to define your future, how to stop living as a victim, and what it means to keep moving forward—even when you're still limping. It's not how you start. It's how you finish. ---------- Welcome to the LifeHouse Church Podcast. We're so glad you're here. Jun 14th | Freedom | Galatians 6:6-18In this episode, Pastor Peyton Coker walks through Galatians 4:21–5:6 and asks a powerful question: What does it actually mean to live free?Using the striking image of a hotel room versus a jail cell, Pastor Peyton explores the fundamental difference between freedom and slavery—not the appearance of the room, but where the lock is and who holds the keys. Many people are living trapped behind invisible prison doors of perfectionism, greed, self-righteousness, addiction, shame, people-pleasing, and performance-based Christianity without even realizing it.As Paul closes his argument to the Galatians, the message shifts from doctrine to deeply practical application. Pastor Peyton unpacks three key truths for anyone longing to experience real freedom in Christ:• Cast off your slave mentality• Stand firm in Christ• Check your motivation for obedienceThis episode confronts the crushing weight of trying to earn God's approval through religious performance and reminds believers that Jesus didn't save us merely to behave better—He saved us to enjoy life with Him, walk in freedom, and delight in His presence. If you've ever felt exhausted trying to be “good enough,” trapped in cycles of guilt and perfectionism, or burdened by striving instead of grace, this conversation will point you back to the Gospel: salvation is by faith in Christ alone, and true obedience flows from Spirit-filled love, not fear or shame.Freedom is possible. The prison door is open. The question is: will you walk out?Do you know JESUS? https://www.nbgilmer.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER? https://www.nbgilmer.org/praySupport through GIVING: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving

In Mark 6:6-13, Jesus sends out His disciples before they feel fully ready, fully equipped, or fully confident. He teaches them to trust God more than their own resources, to obey even when they don't have all the answers, and to remain faithful regardless of how people respond. The same mission Jesus gave His disciples still belongs to every follower today. If you belong to Jesus, you've already been sent.Need Prayer?

Even the strongest believers experience moments of uncertainty. In this message, we explore the life of John the Baptist—a man Jesus called the greatest born of women—yet who still found himself asking difficult questions while sitting in prison. Through John's story, we discover that doubt doesn't disqualify us, waiting seasons don't mean God has forgotten us, and true greatness is found in faithfulness. --------- Welcome to the LifeHouse Church Podcast. Welcome back to the Menlo Midweek Podcast! We are in Week 3 of our series, "GLITCH: Being Human in a Machine World." This week, host Matt Summers and Phil EuBank are joined by a special guest: Paul, co-founder of Faith Work and Tech. In an episode titled "Hardware Crash," the three of them dive into the very real, physical nature of burnout. Living and working in the Bay Area, it's incredibly easy to operate as if we are just a "brain in a jar," ignoring our hardware (our physical bodies) to constantly serve our software (our productivity, careers, and output). But as we see in the story of the prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 19, when you crash hard, God doesn't send a software update or a productivity hack. Sometimes, the most spiritual thing you can do is take a nap and eat a snack.

Welcome back to the Menlo Midweek Podcast! This week, host Brett Koerton sits down with Phil EuBank to dive into Week 2 of our GLITCH series. In an episode titled "Infinite Loop," they tackle the exhausting reality of anxiety and why relying on our intellect to solve our emotional struggles often leaves us stuck buffering. In the Silicon Valley, we naturally prize "processing power," leading us to believe we can logic our way out of fear. But as Brett and Phil discuss, you simply can't out-think a broken feeling.
