May 25th, 2025 | Stand Alone | Nehemiah 8“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” These ancient words, spoken during a moment of deep conviction and spiritual awakening in Nehemiah 8, still offer power and hope to us today. In this episode, Pastor Matt Darby unpacks what it really means to live with the joy of the Lord—not as a fleeting feeling, but as a deep, sustaining strength rooted in God's presence, promises, and purpose. As we witness a broken people hearing God's Word and weeping over their sin, we're reminded that joy isn't the denial of pain—it's divine defiance in the midst of it.This kind of joy reframes our sorrow, restores our identity, and equips us for endurance. It's not wishful thinking—it's a weapon of spiritual warfare against despair. Whether you feel stuck in shame, worn down by suffering, or simply distant from God, this message will remind you: you are still His, He still rejoices over you, and His joy can be your strength.Joy is not the absence of trouble—it's the presence of God. And that changes everything.Do you know JESUS? https://www.nbgilmer.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER? https://www.nbgilmer.org/praySupport through GIVING: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving

May 18th, 2025 | Does Grace Offend You? | Jonah 4In the final message of our series through the book of Jonah, Pastor Ben Lofton takes us deep into Jonah 4—a chapter that doesn't offer a neat resolution but instead holds up a mirror to our hearts. This isn't just about Nineveh's repentance or Jonah's frustration; it's about how we respond to the grace of God—especially when it's extended to people we think don't deserve it.This message challenges us to ask: Are we gatekeepers of God's grace, or humble participants in sharing it with a broken world? Jonah was angry that God spared Nineveh. Why? Because he knew God would show mercy—and he didn't think they deserved it. The truth is, none of us do.Pastor Ben unpacks three key differences between an arbiter and a distributor of grace, exposing how our desire for fairness can actually stand in the way of God's mission. We'll wrestle with tough questions, confront our comfort zones, and ultimately be reminded of the scandalous beauty of God's mercy for everyone. Reflective Questions:Am I offended by God's grace? Is my heart aligned with the gracious and merciful heart of God?Who in my life is God calling me to be a distributor of grace to?Whether you're skeptical, self-aware, or somewhere in between, this message will challenge you to examine how you view grace—and what you do with it.Do you know JESUS? https://www.nbgilmer.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER? https://www.nbgilmer.org/praySupport through GIVING: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving

"Labor of Love” (Galatians 4:12-20)In this heartfelt message from Galatians 4:12–20, Pastor Daniel unpacks the Apostle Paul's deep, almost parental love for the Galatian believers—likening his concern to the agony of laboring for them all over again. Paul urges them to return to the freedom and consistency they first saw in his life, and to reject the burdens of legalism. This message explores how a believer can live with spiritual consistency and freedom, how truth-telling sometimes wounds before it heals, and how gospel ministry often flows through weakness, not strength.Whether you're a mom, a student, or someone wrestling with spiritual performance, this message is a reminder: you are no longer a slave—but a beloved child of God.Need Prayer? May 11th, 2025 | Is There Anyone God's Grace Can't Save? | Jonah 3Is there anyone too far gone for God to save? In this powerful message from Jonah 3, Pastor Matt Darby invites us to wrestle with one of the most scandalous truths of the Bible: God's grace reaches the worst of us.The story of Jonah isn't about a fish—it's a mirror that reflects our hearts and a spotlight that reveals God's relentless, restoring grace. Whether it's Jonah—the rebellious prophet—or Nineveh—the brutal, violent city, God doesn't give up. He gives second chances, calls the unqualified, and extends mercy where judgment is deserved.✨ Main Takeaways:God's grace gives second chances even after failureGrace works through reluctant obedienceNo one—not even the worst offender—is beyond redemptionRevival can break out in the darkest placesWhat was a question mark for Nineveh is an exclamation point for us in ChristYou'll be challenged to examine your own heart:Are you believing the lie that you've gone too far?Are you withholding grace from someone else?Do you struggle to believe that God's mercy is really for everyone?God's grace is greater than your sin, deeper than your shame, and more powerful than your past. "From the Cradle to the Throne” (Galatians 4:1-11)Before Christ, we lived like spiritual orphans—slaves to the law, trapped by the world's systems, stuck in a "cause-and-effect" mindset. But in Christ, we're no longer slaves. We're sons and daughters of the King. In this message, we explore Paul's vivid imagery of a young heir under guardianship and discover the breathtaking truth of our adoption into God's family. We don't just receive forgiveness—we are given full belonging, full intimacy, and a full inheritance. Through Jesus, we cry out “Abba, Father” with boldness and confidence, living not for approval, but from the approval of the One who has already called us His own. It's time to leave behind the ABCs of spiritual preschool and step into the wonder of grace.Need Prayer? May 4th, 2025 | Prayer of Desperation | Jonah 2In Week 2 of our series in Jonah, Pastor Matt Darby unpacks Jonah's prayer from inside the fish and challenges us with a powerful question: Am I desperate for God? More than a story about a runaway prophet, Jonah is a mirror that reveals our own hearts—especially when we've been running, resisting, or relying on ourselves. In Jonah 2, we see how spiritual desperation strips away illusions of control and self-sufficiency, leading us to the kind of surrender where real healing begins. Pastor Matt shows us that desperation isn't something to avoid—it's the onramp to spiritual transformation. If you're tired of striving, drowning in pressure, or trying to fix your life in your own strength, this message is a call to stop fighting and start trusting the only One who can truly rescue and restore.Do you know JESUS? https://www.nbgilmer.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER? https://www.nbgilmer.org/praySupport through GIVING: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving

April 27th, 2025 | Running From His Presence | Jonah 1In this powerful kickoff to our series in Jonah, Pastor Matt Darby takes us beyond the well-known fish story to the heart of rebellion—and the even deeper heart of grace. Jonah knew exactly what God wanted, yet he ran. Not from danger, but from mercy. In Jonah 1, we see the downward spiral of spiritual rebellion: running from God's presence, dragging others into our storms, falling into spiritual slumber, and growing numb to conviction. But more than that, we see a God who refuses to give up. God pursues, disciplines, and rescues—not out of anger, but out of relentless love. Whether you're drifting, disobeying, or simply spiritually asleep, this message is a call to repent, return, and remember: you can run from God's assignment, but you can't outrun His grace.Reflection Questions:Is your rebellion distancing you from God's presence?Could the storm in your life be God's grace, not punishment?Have you confused God's discipline with His rejection?Do you know JESUS? https://www.nbgilmer.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER? https://www.nbgilmer.org/praySupport through GIVING: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving

Scripture: Luke 24:5b — “Why do you seek the living among the dead?”In this Resurrection Sunday message, we reflect on the angel's powerful question to the women at Jesus' tomb. They had come looking for a body, expecting death—yet the tomb was empty. “Why do you seek the living among the dead?” is not just a question for that moment, but one that echoes into our own lives.Too often, we seek purpose, identity, and peace in “dead places”—in success, relationships, addictions, status, even religion without Christ. We chase after affirmation on screens, healing in achievements, or comfort in substances. But these cannot offer life. They are tombs that promise what only Jesus can give.True life—abundant, eternal, and resurrected life—is found in Christ alone. He is not in the grave. He is risen. And He invites us to stop clinging to lifeless substitutes and instead come alive in Him.This message calls us to examine where we've been seeking life in dead things—and to turn instead to the Risen Savior who conquered death and still meets us with grace and power today.Need Prayer?

Evidence that proves Jesus was raised from the dead and is alive. Notes: 1. What the biggest thing that sets Christianity apart from all other religions? RESURRECTION!!! 2. Question: Is the resurrection of Jesus real? Is there evidence that proves it? 3. Jesus prophesied it. o John 2:19b (NKJV) “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” o John 11:25 (NKJV) 4. Empty Tomb. o Matthew 28:5-6 (NLT) 5. Jesus Appeared to Many People who were eyewitnesses to Him being alive. 6. John 20:14–18 – Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene. 7. Luke 24:13–35 – Jesus walks with two disciples on the road to Emmaus. o John 20:26-29 (NKJV) 8. Physical Evidence. o Luke 24:39–43 (NKJV) 9. Apostle Paul's Account o 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (NLT) o 1 Corinthians 15:13-14 (NKJV) o 1 Corinthians 15:19-22 (TPT) 10. How did the Church age start in ACTS? o Acts 1:1-4 (NLT) 11. If Jesus had made a claim that did not end up coming true, His disciples and the people of His day would have seen Him as a fraud and a liar. 12. None of the apostles would have died the horrible deaths they did just to save face for a lie. 13. The apostles all died for an empty tomb. 14. No other religious leaders have ever claimed to be sinless; therefore, no other religious leaders are even in the same class with Jesus. 15. No other religious leaders have ever given their lives in sacrifice to atone for the sins of others. It wouldn't have done any good if they had. Since the religious leaders were and are sinners themselves, their lives aren't worth any more than any other sinner. Need Prayer? April 13th, 2025 | Jesus is...Enough | Philippians 3:1-11In week four of the Jesus Is series, Pastor Matt Darby shares a powerful and personal message from Philippians 3:1–11, declaring the freeing truth that Jesus is Enough. We live in a world constantly pushing us to chase more—more success, more approval, more religion, more status. But what happens when we realize that none of it truly satisfies? Pastor Matt walks us through the apostle Paul's dramatic perspective shift—a moment where everything he once prized is counted as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. This message answers the question: What do you really need to feel fulfilled? And the answer is clear—Jesus is enough. Here are four truths you'll discover in this episode:Because Jesus is enough, you can experience true joy.Joy rooted in God's unchanging character—not fleeting circumstances or emotions.Because Jesus is enough, you can reject confidence in the flesh. You don't have to earn God's favor—your confidence is in Christ's finished work.Because Jesus is enough, you can find your identity in Him.Your worth isn't defined by your past, performance, or popularity—but by who you are in Jesus.Because Jesus is enough, you can know deeper fellowship with Him.True intimacy with Christ leads to resurrection power, purpose, and the joy of becoming more like Him.This is more than information—it's an invitation to transformation. Whether you're new to faith, burned out on religion, or longing for deeper intimacy with Jesus, this message is for you.Do you know JESUS? https://www.nbgilmer.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER? https://www.nbgilmer.org/praySupport through GIVING: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving
April 13th, 2025 | Jesus is...Enough | Philippians 3:2-11In week four of the Jesus Is series, Pastor Todd Kaunitz brings a compelling message from Philippians 3 with a simple but life-changing truth: Jesus is Enough. We've already seen that Jesus is God, He is Man, and He is Sufficient. But this week, Pastor Todd shows us that Jesus alone saves and satisfies the soul—there is nothing we need to add to Him for our salvation or fulfillment.Through Paul's bold letter to the Philippians, we're reminded to beware of false teachings that try to add religious works to the Gospel. With clarity and conviction, Pastor Todd unpacks Paul's personal testimony to reveal three powerful truths:Jesus is better than religionJesus offers a better righteousnessJesus is a better pursuitReligion can never measure up. Our works can't earn God's favor. But what Jesus offers—His righteousness, His power, His presence—is infinitely greater. This isn't about checking spiritual boxes. It's about knowing Jesus deeply, intimately, and passionately.Whether you're holding on to religion or just coasting in your walk with Christ, this message will challenge and inspire you to pursue Jesus with everything—because Jesus is enough.Do you know JESUS? https://www.nbgilmer.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER? https://www.nbgilmer.org/praySupport through GIVING: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving
