Romans 1:16-17Here are some of the questions that it answers — this one epistle. What is the good news of God? Is Jesus really God? What proves He is God? Why did He come? What is God like? How can God send people to hell? What will happen to people who have never heard the gospel? Why do men reject God and Christ? Why are there false religions and idols? What is man's biggest sin? Why is there sex perversion, hate, crime and those other things and why are they so rampant? How can a person who has never head be held responsible? How do we know we're sinners? How are we justified and forgiven? What is the importance of Christ's death? What is the importance of His resurrection? Where can men find real peace and hope? What is grace? And what does it do? 1. Romans 8:26-27 // Nathan MillerWhen was the last time you were left speechless by grief, disappointment, loneliness, frustration?Maybe you paced aimlessly: I just don't know what to say. Maybe you struggled to know how to express your feelings, or maybe you even struggled to know what exactly it was you were feeling! Maybe you didn't know what to pray, or how to pray, or even feel like you could pray. What are we supposed to do when we no longer have words?Paul's answer might surprise you. Because it's less about what we do and more about what God does. What God is already doing. Even when all we can do is groan, God reminds us that: We never groan alone.SERMON NOTES (YouVersion): https://bible.com/events/49254182PRAYER REQUESTS: https://ccefc.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/2542/responses/new24.05.12
Romans 8:26-27 // Tom NelsonPrayer can be hard for all of us. Sometimes we struggle to pray because we don't know what words to pray. We wonder what to say? I think one of Satan's greatest strategies when it comes to prayer is to stop prayer in its tracks by convincing us we need to formulate just the right words before we pray. That somehow if we get our prayer words just right, God will hear us. Paul's words here in Romans are so encouraging in this regard. Sometimes in prayer we simply groan in God's direction. We must remember the Holy Spirit meets us right where we are even when we are speechless, even when all we can do is groan. The Holy Spirit groans with us and He prays on our behalf.SERMON NOTES (YouVersion): https://bible.com/events/49254181PRAYER REQUESTS: https://ccefc.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/2509/responses/new24.05.12
