What does it take to be a thought leader? Not just to guide your team, but to help them think differently -- to encourage them to reframe how the systems we live in work? In this episode of Coffee with a Neuroscientist, host Shonte Jovan Taylor partners with Dr. Ryeal Simms, Neuropsychologist and Relationship Expert, to talk about thought leadership; and, no surprise here, it all starts with your actual thoughts. Shonte and Dr. Ryeal take a neuroscience-based approach to thought leadership as they explore the five activities you need to engage in to become a true thought leader: 1) learning about the brain, 2) diversity and inclusion, 3) socialization, 4) collaboration, and 5) attending events. With tons of wild neuroscience wisdom (80% of our communication is non-verbal?!), Shonte and Dr. Ryeal dive deep into the magical brain to help you take your industry to the next level. Quotes “In order to be an advanced leader in the 21st century, you have to learn about your brain.” (17:53-17:58) “Leadership is a whole brain experience.” (28:20-28:23) Links www.OptiMindInstitute.com
Are you ready to discover what it means to be a Man Whisperer and why you attract love or losers? In this episode, you'll discover: How being smart and successful doesn't make you emotionally intelligent; The difference between good fear and unhealthy fear when it comes to relationships; The way to leverage past experiences and red flags; Why being a hard person doesn't always protect you; How to give yourself credit for past experiences and mistakes; Why you need highs and lows within your relationships. We continue the discussion with the Relationship Scientist Dr. Ryeal Simms to explore man-whispering tips and how to attract what you want in love and life from a spiritual and scientific perspective; which is what we discussed in part 1. We enter the second part of the discussion using the biblical analogy of “He who finds a wife finds a good thing,” but the big part that women often forget is that YOU HAVE THE POWER & YOU are the employer that's hiring for the job. Please visit our Contact Page and let us know how we can help you tap into your SuperpowHer today! In this episode, we discuss 3 Reasons that Your Vision May Be blurry or feel blocked: Unclutter your headspace - Mental clutter leads to congestion in our inner world. It gets in the way of being able to think clearly, and to focus on what really matters. This year, live your best life by decluttering your mind. Unclutter your heart - Emotional clutter can include forgiveness, hatred, bitterness, resentfulness, regret, fear ( anxiety). Like mind clutter, Heart clutter is often related to the past. It's soul ties and memories from past relationships – be it family, platonic or romantic. Most of us keep a large cabinet of mental drawers stored in the back of our minds. These drawers are filled with mistakes made, opportunities missed, hurt, past grievances, and so forth. Unclutter your home - Having an unorganized home or office space can interfere with your ability to think straight. That's why before I work on my vision board I make sure I clean up my space to set the atmosphere for clarity and flow.
