Celebrating 5 years of Classic Trance! This was a special DJ set where the tracklist was chosen at random by YOU the listeners. For the past couple of weeks on Instagram I have been asking people to choose random numbers between certain ranges. Those numbers that were chosen I correlated with specific tracks in each episode, 1 from each episode, and put the playlist together just hours before playing live without predetermining a playlist ahead of time. Basically, when I used to play vinyl sets, I would have friend come over and randomly select 10 vinyls from my collection and I would try to make a good 1 hour set form whatever they chose (even if they had no idea what those records sounded like). I can't believe how many people ended up choosing the same the same numbers (tracks), and without knowing what you were choosing... the tracklist turned out to be INSANE! Hello again, with our now traditional year-end holiday gift. Since an early age, one of the biggest loves and passions in my life has been the radio. In particular, I was so moved by the period between Christmas and New Year, when suddenly what day of the week it is didn't feel important, and this was reflected with all the stations playing classic songs.   My goal was to take this inspiration towards my own radio show, and the Classics Showcase has grown to become one of the most emotionally resonating and powerful episodes for fans each year, whether current, long-standing or lapsed. A time to reflect on those we have lost also, and we think of Evol Waves and Stevie B-Zet (who produced as Vernon among many other names) no longer with us; it was only appropriate to pay tribute to their departures too.   Hope you enjoy the journey, and it's something you will want to download and keep in your collection for some time to come. Allow your mind to escape and let the memories flow. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year, and I sincerely hope that we get to meet again in person sooner rather than later. Wow. I have been in a major slump. It has been really hard for me to find something that I'm really proud of. That is saying a lot for this past month and a half because I have been cranking away trying to publish something fresh and something with (in my opinion) as much character as my last mix. I think I was so happy with the last mix that everything was a letdown. That's to say until I mixed what you are about to listen to. It's really funny how these things happen, as the minute you just let things flow and stop forcing it, something amazing comes out of it. There are only 2 tracks in this mix with vocals, but I think that they really standout and this for me makes this mix really cool. All of these tracks really bring about a certain mood, and the song that this mix finishes with has been just getting better everytime I listen to it.
