Celebrating 5 years of Classic Trance! This was a special DJ set where the tracklist was chosen at random by YOU the listeners. For the past couple of weeks on Instagram I have been asking people to choose random numbers between certain ranges. Those numbers that were chosen I correlated with specific tracks in each episode, 1 from each episode, and put the playlist together just hours before playing live without predetermining a playlist ahead of time. Basically, when I used to play vinyl sets, I would have friend come over and randomly select 10 vinyls from my collection and I would try to make a good 1 hour set form whatever they chose (even if they had no idea what those records sounded like). I can't believe how many people ended up choosing the same the same numbers (tracks), and without knowing what you were choosing... the tracklist turned out to be INSANE! Check it/listen for yourself... 1 tracks from each episode (plus a bonus track I chose myself to make an even 60). Thanks to ElectronicGlobalFamily on Twitch.tv for hosting! it was a wonderfully challenging and rewarding set to play! De “Building Stem with a grain of salt” à “Midnight in a Perfect World” en passant par “Organ Donor” ou “What does your soul look like?”, DJ Shadow déclare son amour à l'esprit du hip hop et lui offre une nouvelle ouverture d'esprit. Crédits Générique : Dr Alban "Sing Hallelujah" Titres écoutés dans l'émission : “Best Foot Forward”, “Building Steam With A Grain Of Salt”, “The Number Song”, “Changeling”, “What Does Your Soul Look Like (Part 4)”, “Untitled”, “Stem/Long Stem”, “Mutual Slump”, “Organ Donor”, “Why Hip Hop Sucks In '96”, “Midnight In A Perfect World”, “Napalm Brain/Scatter Brain”, “What Does Your Soul Look Like (Part 1 - Blue Sky Revisit)”. Blondie “Rapture”, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five “The Message”, Pekka Pohjola “Sekoilu seestyy / The Madness Subsides”, Gorgio Moroder “Tears”. Extraits : “From The DJ Shadow Archives - KDVS 1988 Mix”, “DJ Shadow KMEL Mix #1 (1991)”, “Scratch” (Doug Pray, 2001). Chaque mois dans Radio K7 on rembobine nos cassettes et vous raconte l'histoire d'un album qui a marqué les années 90s. Marie and I hop on the show to discuss our recently released Most Hearted of 2022 Pens. We only did the calculations the day before, so this is more of a first reaction than a deep dive. Congrats to Hyperplexed for #1 and a massive year on CodePen. Last one entry on the Top 100, and this year, nine. "Full layouts" like this appeared a number of times, including Aysenur Turk, last year's winner, at #13 with Liquid Transition Effect, and there were two NFT-themed landing pages (1, 2) in the Top 100. A lot of Pens attract attention when they have that "I could use this" feel to them, demonstrated by Ryan Mulligan's Logo Wall at #2! High five to Greensock for taking #3 with a re-creation of Brian Cross' lovely Pen. The tag "gsap" was used a ton in the Top 100. Jon Kantner took #4 and 10 other spots making this the most appearances on the Top 100 list ever, and also took a spot with a Pen made on December 13th! Aaron Iker and Yoav Kadosh both had 4 spots. Perhaps my favorite because of the deep CSS trickery involved was Scott Kellum's Apple inspired pride clock. Scott has the oldest account of anyone in the list, over 10 years old! Huge fan of Steve Gardener's joke, though as well. 11 of the Top 100 were created for CodePen Challenges. Branding Expert Brian Cross discusses whether Twitter is really biased.
A new study reveals that it may be!
The managing partner at Elasticity (https://goelastic.com/) discuses how companies are drawling lines.
We are now becoming uncomfortably aware of how propaganda works and how social media has been used as a weapon of psychological warfare. Moreover, now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter for 44 billion dollars, the Left may not be able to effectively utilize this coveted digital platform in determining politically-charged interpretations of "misinformation" and "fake news." The puppet masters knew that the eccentric entrepreneur was going to make an offer for Twitter and now, those triggered are "Twitterpated" because their ability to control the narrative and censor free speech is going to be curtailed. Tonight on Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks with digital marketing strategist, Brian Cross about TWITTERPATED. #GroundZero #ClydeLewis #Twitterpated https://groundzeromedia.org/4-26-22-twitterpated-w-brian.../ Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis is live M-F from 7-10pm, pacific time, and streamed for free at groundzero.radio. Episode Four features a new collaboration from two Limerick artists, rapper and poet Denise Chaila and filmmaker Brian Cross (B+). Their piece, Energy: A Visual Mixtape is a short film like no other, at just 15 minutes long, it contains a multitude. The film eulogizes local Limerick spaces including Ardnacrusha Power Station, Mount Trenchard House and People's Park, montaging archival and contemporary footage to form visual couplets that marry diasporic histories, racial discrimination and political ideologies, magic and music. For this episode Dónal Dineen travels to Limerick and spends two days with the artists as they prepare to show the film to a hometown audience at the Belltable theatre for the first time, before installing it for exhibition at Ormston House gallery. Denise and B+ share their thoughts on the experience of making work together and explain exactly how that came about. We discover how their respective practices resulted in connecting Irish and African histories and get an insight into some of the critical information they discovered during their combined research. We also get a valuable insight into the collaborative process which in this case spans disciplines and generations. We Are The Makers is written and presented by Irish broadcaster Dónal Dineen and produced and edited by Ian Cudmore. Original music by Ultan O'Brien. Cover photo by Paul Tarpey. Commissioned by Solas Nua in Washington, D.C., bringing contemporary Irish art to U.S. audiences.
