Brett Forrest, The Lost Son: An American Family Trapped Inside the FBI's Secret Wars. The final segment of Forrest's account explores the dark possibilities of Billy's fate and the FBI's high-level awareness of the case. « Nous avons besoin rapidement de 1,4 milliard de dollars pour lutter contre le virus Ebola », affirme sur RFI le docteur Jean Kaseya, en ligne depuis Kinshasa. Il est le directeur général d'Africa CDC, le Centre africain de contrôle et de prévention des maladies, et qui sort d'une réunion de travail avec les présidents du Congo Kinshasa et du Burundi. Mais d'abord, le médecin congolais s'exprime sur le cas de son confrère qui vient d'être testé positif à Ebola à son arrivée à Paris en provenance du Congo. Pourquoi l'a-t-on laissé monter dans un avion ?  RFI ​​​​​ : Après le premier cas d'Ebola identifié en France et donc hors d'Afrique, est ce qu'il y a un risque mondial pour la santé publique ? Jean Kaseya : Le risque zéro n'existe pas et lorsque nous avons déclaré cette épidémie le 15 mai, nous avions déjà dit que, si jamais cette dimension régionale et cette dimension concentrée de l'épidémie au niveau de l'Ituri n'étaient pas considérées, il y aurait des risques que d'autres pays soient affectés. Donc, vous nous dites aujourd'hui qu'il y a quand même un risque pour toute la planète, c'est ça ? Nous vous disons aujourd'hui qu'il y a un risque. C'est pourquoi nous disons très clairement que c'est la solidarité qui va nous permettre d'arrêter cette épidémie. Et nous avons, l'OMS et Africa CDC, produit un travail. Ce travail demande aujourd'hui que nous puissions investir les moyens nécessaires, aussi bien pour l'Afrique que pour les autres pays. Et je réitère que la fermeture des frontières n'est pas la solution. La solution, c'est de permettre à ce que nous puissions avoir les moyens de répondre à cette épidémie afin d'éviter que d'autres pays soient affectés. Donc, ce qui s'est passé avec ce médecin arrivé à Paris, c'est une alerte en fait pour toute la communauté internationale ? D'abord, laissez-moi remercier ce médecin. Laissez-moi remercier son organisation Alima d'avoir été proche du peuple meurtri de l'Ituri. Ce médecin a beaucoup d'expérience dans la gestion des épidémies passées. Il est anesthésiste réanimateur et il a été au front du 19 mai au 22 juin. Il a quitté l'Ituri le 19 juin et a transité par Kinshasa. Quand il a quitté Kinshasa le 22, il ne présentait pas de symptômes. Et je voudrais aussi rappeler que le gouvernement de la RDC a mis en place des dispositifs de détection dans les aéroports de Bunia et de Kinshasa, qui permettent de savoir qui a les signes. Donc, à l'heure actuelle, nous ne pouvons pas parler d'un quelconque manquement. Nous devons juste dire que les signes se sont manifestés quand il a atterri à Paris. Et effectivement, pour répondre à votre question, ce sont des signaux d'alerte. Si jamais les partenaires et les autres gouvernements donateurs ne viennent pas, ces signaux d'alerte risqueront malheureusement de se multiplier. L'OMS dit que la transmission de l'épidémie d'Ebola s'accélère. Est-ce à dire qu'on n'a pas encore atteint le pic de cette épidémie ? A l'heure actuelle, nous ne pouvons pas encore dire que nous avons atteint le pic de cette épidémie. C'est vrai qu'il y a beaucoup de succès en termes de personnes qui sont guéries. Il y a des succès en termes de mobilisations communautaires. On commence à sentir que, de plus en plus, les communautés croient au message qu'on leur donne. Mais ce qui est compliqué, ce qui ne peut pas nous permettre de dire qu'on a atteint le pic, c'est la situation humanitaire qui est sérieuse. Nous avons des camps de déplacés internes qui contiennent près d'un million de personnes, et l'accès à ces camps est difficile, alors que nous savons que l'épidémie est dans ces camps. Et ça, c'est dans les camps de déplacés d'Ituri ? Effectivement, c'est dans les camps de déplacés, c'est dans l'épicentre, à Mongbwalu. Et c'est là où nous devons multiplier les efforts. Aujourd'hui, lors de la réunion des chefs d'Etat que nous avons eue, le mardi 23 juin à Kinshasa, avec le président Tshisekedi et le président Ndayishimiye du Burundi, nous nous sommes dit que l'aspect humanitaire compte maintenant pour 70 % de la réponse. L'aspect sanitaire compte pour 30 %. Ça signifie quoi ? Si nous n'arrivons pas à résoudre l'aspect humanitaire, nous n'allons pas arrêter cette épidémie. Au G7 d'Évian, la semaine dernière, en France, les sept pays les plus riches du monde ont promis une forte mobilisation contre cette souche d'Ebola jusqu'à quelque deux milliards de dollars. Est-ce que vous y croyez ? J'attends de voir ça. Les effets d'annonce ne m'impressionnent plus. Et je le dis aux pays du G7. Et j'ai eu l'opportunité d'en parler avec les autorités françaises qui président le G7. J'ai dit aujourd'hui que nous avions un plan de réponse à 518 millions de dollars, mais pas plus de 180 à 200 millions sont concrètement arrivés. Ça, c'était le volet sanitaire. Mais nous venons aussi de réévaluer le volet humanitaire. Aujourd'hui, nous avons besoin de 1,4 milliards de dollars pour nous assurer que nous parviendrons à avoir accès aux camps. Je vous ai dit que ce sont des camps de près d'un million de personnes où des maladies viennent, mais auxquels nous n'avons pas accès. Et ces camps-là, pendant longtemps, ont été abandonnés. Les gens n'ont pas d'eau courante, les gens n'ont pas de nourriture, les gens n'ont pas de toit. Et maintenant nous venons pour leur dire qu'il y a une épidémie. Et ces gens nous disent : pourquoi vous venez maintenant ? Donc, ça signifie que nous devons assurer leurs besoins primaires. Nous devons démanteler certains de ces camps, et nous devons nous assurer que tout le monde a accès aux soins. Et cela va nécessiter 1.4 milliards. And we're talking about men and women working together as Christians. And I'm with Dr. Jackie Roese, who has a book, RelationSHIFT, as well as some other books. You can read about Jackie, and her material will be on our website as well. You can link to her ministry, The Marcella Project, as well as her material, because probably by now, if you've watched the first two, you want to hear more from Jackie. So we're about to do that. Now we're going to talk about God's dream team. We've talked about some of the problems with men and women in the church and some of the teaching that's behind some of that, some of the misconceptions that's behind that. And now we want to talk about what it would really look like. And I know as a woman who has volunteered in churches as well as been on staff, that sometimes you're quite aware that you have no voice in anything and you'd really like to change that. So how can we as women, affect some change in the church? Jackie >> Great. And that is the big million dollar question, isn't it? I would say first and foremost, we need brothers and sisters bringing change to the church, not just women. And we'll get to that. First and foremost, I think women need to get informed about God's bigger vision, about what did God intend for men and women to serve together collectively in the home, in the church, community, workplace. And I think probably one of the best descriptions out there right now is Carolyn Custis James' description of male and female called The Blessed Alliance. And I'm going to summarize it really quick. But basically, she says in Genesis 1 and 2, God formed the foundation of creation based on two load bearing walls. The first being humanity's relationship with God. And the second load bearing wall in which the world was supposed to operate was male and female relationships. Not just in marriage, which we tend to read only the Genesis passage in a marriage paradigm, but it's actually also talking about community brother, sister. And there's lots that I've written on that and so if that sounds different. But these two load-bearing walls is what the world was supposed to operate on. And together these two are given a mandate. They are to rule, subdue and fill the earth, which fill the earth does include procreation. But really beyond that, what it means is to create civilization. God throws raw material at them and says, have at it. Create societies, create cultures. And so that is the job of male and female and they do it together. So we need to see first and foremost that that is God's desire. We have done a great job of helping humanity reconnect with God.

From there, users can launch apps, start texts, set reminders, trigger Shortcuts, or query Apple's new AI web search, which Gurman says Apple is positioning as a Perplexity competitor. Results allegedly appear as a translucent card in the ‌Dynamic Island‌, and swiping further opens the full ‌Siri‌ app. Notification Center moves to a top-left swipe, while Control Center stays top-right.The new Siri will reportedly be able to answer multi-part questions, maintain conversational context, summarize uploaded documents, generate images, and draw on personal data across first-party apps like Mail, Messages, Photos, Notes, Contacts, Calendar, and Reminders. Apple is said to be powering it with a custom model based on Google's Gemini, after its own models reportedly fell short. Gurman says the personalized ‌Siri‌ still carries a "beta" label in internal builds, and there is a "strong chance" it ships that way, more than two years after Apple first showed it off at WWDC 2024.iOS 27 will also purportedly introduce an "Extensions" feature letting users choose which AI service powers ‌Siri‌, with a dedicated App Store section for third-party integrations. Users will reportedly be able to set ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and others as the default for Writing Tools, Image Playground, and more, with third-party responses using a distinct voice so users can tell which is speaking. Apple has also reportedly held talks with developers about deeper agentic integrations, and is said to be replacing Core ML with a new Core AI framework.Apple is reportedly giving the Camera app a major overhaul, moving Visual Intelligence from the Camera Control button into a dedicated Siri mode inside the app. Apple is also purportedly making the interface fully customizable via a widget tray, letting users arrange controls like flash, exposure, timer, and depth of field. ‌Visual Intelligence‌ will allegedly also gain the ability to scan nutrition labels for Health app tracking and read contact details from business cards.‌Photos‌ is said to be getting three new AI editing tools alongside the existing Clean Up feature. "Extend" generates content beyond the original frame, "Reframe" changes the perspective of spatial photos, and "Enhance" applies automatic color and lighting adjustments. Writing Tools are reportedly getting a grammar checker with per-suggestion accept and reject controls, and keyboard autocorrect is said to be gaining Grammarly-style alternative word suggestions.Apple is reportedly redesigning Image Playground with a simpler interface and new models producing more lifelike images. Genmoji is allegedly getting a new model that improves quality and reduces battery drain, with a Suggested ‌Genmoji‌ feature drawing on the user's media and messages. AI-generated wallpapers are also reportedly coming, with ‌Image Playground‌ built into the wallpaper picker.The Wallet app is purportedly gaining a "Create a Pass" feature for digitizing physical tickets and membership cards, and Apple Cash is reportedly getting a bill-splitting feature that lets users photograph a receipt, assign items to individuals, and send payment requests via Wallet or Messages.
