Last week, the official Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs partnered with (or created themselves, the ownership data is sketchy) an LLC in the United States by the name of "Show Faith By Works, LLC". As this company is directly controlled by a foreign government, it was required to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). In the 86 page registration form, the organizers self-describe this company as being formed to carry out the "largest Geofencing and targeted Christian Digital Campaign ever". This would be accomplished by geofencing most churches in the region and displaying targeted ads to Christians specifically with reference to the October 7th attacks while they are actively attending a church service (per the paperwork that was filed).-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: Everyone is strongly encouraged to read the documentation yourself, as linked below on the official US government website.Overall, what this means in the clearest possible terms, is that if you are a Christian who brings your cell phone to church in the western United States, the government of Israel is openly and publicly surveilling your phone and your exact GPS coordinates. If anyone did not surmise such before, this paperwork confirms beyond all doubt that this is occurring. As a reminder, this is not a private company...this is the actual Israeli government purchasing analytics data from American service providers.As such Christians who bring their phones into Church during worship times, will very likely receive targeted advertisements to encourage them to think a certain way about the October 7th attacks while in Church, as the paperwork specifically states that smartphones owned by Christians will be targeted during worship times.The documentation detailing this campaign also is not limited to Churches...the GPS tracking merely starts once a Christian enters into the geofenced area around a Church. If a Christian enters a church perimeter, but later leaves...the surveillance of their GPS position will continue. The geofencing barriers being placed around churches are merely to identify which smartphones belong to Christians. If a person's phone enters the church grounds on a certain time on Sunday morning, this device can be associated with Christianity, and once that association

Een Betrouwbare Bronnen-aflevering opgenomen in het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, samen met het Arethusa Quartet. Een experiment: hoe kun je de identiteit van Betrouwbare Bronnen op een ongebruikelijke, eigenzinnige wijze vertolken? In veel afleveringen van deze podcast klinkt steeds weer door hoe politiek, kunst, tradities, inspiratie, muziek en de macht van heersers toen en nu met elkaar verbonden zijn. In een live-uitvoering vertellen we met de musici van het Arethusa Quartet het verhaal van de grote componist Dmitri Sjostakovitsj (1906 - 1975) in dit herdenkingsjaar. In zijn leven en werk werden zijn strijkkwartetten het ‘intiem, geheim dagboek’, vertelt Daniel Rowland, eerste violist van 'Arethusa'. Zijn muzikaal genie, zijn inspiratie, angsten, wanhoop, liefde, verzet en triomfgevoelens kon hij daarin voluit laten klinken. Jaap Jansen en PG Kroeger verkennen hoe leven, politiek, muziek en noodlot bij Sjostakovitsj samen kwamen. Elke grote revolutie had immers zijn Beethoven nodig, dus ook deze rode. In elk repertoire schitterde hij. Zijn filmmuziek sleepte heel de Sovjet-Unie mee, zijn optimistische koren en ballades waren uitermate populair. Tegelijkertijd zag Lenin al hoe machtig film als propagandamiddel kon zijn. Politiek, heerschappij en muziek raakten meteen verstrikt. Stalin werd in 1928 alleenheerser en protegeerde de jonge musicus. Meer en meer werd Sjostakovitsj helder hoezeer privilege en gunsten van de tiran ook een gifpil waren. Het was een vloek. Een kooi met gouden tralies. In 1936 begonnen Stalins moorddadige zuiveringen. Sjostakovitsj werd symbool van die repressie toen zijn bejubelde opera 'Lady Macbeth van Mtsensk' in partijkrant de Pravda veroordeeld werd en hij voor zijn leven vreesde. Daniel Rowland vertelt aangrijpend welke doodsangsten beroemde kunstenaars in deze jaren dag en nacht beleefden. Maar toen Adolf Hitler in juni 1941 Operatie Barbarossa begon had Stalin zijn kunstenaars weer hard nodig. Zij moesten het volk bemoedigen en de grootse cultuur van Rusland naar het westen doen schitteren. Sjostakovitsj deed zijn patriottische plicht. Na de overwinning op Nazi-Duitsland was de stank voor dank van de tiran ongekend. Golven van repressie, hongersnood en een nieuwe zuivering maakten Sjostakovitsj wanhopig. Een nieuwe cultuurcampagne van de paranoïde heerser bracht hem aan de afgrond van leven en dood. Het Arethusa Quartet vertolkt de muziek waarin hij zijn wanhoop en levensmoed durfde te uiten. Stalins dood in 1953 betekende een soort dooi, maar de componist bleef doodsbenauwd en tegelijk moedig voor anderen die vervolgd werden. Nu moest hij de triomfen laten klinken van de Sovjet-Unie als wereldmacht in wording – nu met de Spoetnik-satelliet! Zijn leven kreeg een late zonnegloed door de liefde van en voor zijn Irina. Daniel Rowland vertelt over zijn bijzondere contact met haar en hoe zij het muzikale motto 'pom - pom - pom' voor hem ontraadselde. in 1974 schreef Dmitri Sjostakovitsj zijn laatste strijkkwartet in het besef dat zijn leven voorbij was. Het was zijn eigen requiem voor een bestaan waarin schoonheid, gruwelen en hoop zijn levenslot waren. Voordat het Watergateschandaal Richard Nixon in augustus 1974 het politieke ravijn in zou sleuren, deed hij een beroemd geworden poging om het tij te keren. 20 oktober 1973 zou de geschiedenis ingaan als ‘The Saturday Night massacre’, het bloedbad van zaterdagavond. Op die datum gaf hij minister Elliot Richardson van justitie opdracht speciaal Watergate-aanklager Archibald Cox te ontslaan. In plaats daarvan nam Richardson onmiddellijk zelf ontslag. Nixon week uit naar onderminister William Ruckelshaus, die ook meteen aftrad. Nixon zei dat hij hen had ontslagen – een pure leugen. Nixons overwegingen waren een mix: wraak op de vijanden die het lef hadden een onderzoek in te stellen, en de stellige ontkenning dat hij ook maar iets kwaads op zijn geweten had. Daar doet Trumps jacht op wat hij beschouwt als kwelgeesten sterk aan denken. Hij heeft minister van justitie Pam Bondi toegebeten om vaart te zetten achter de vervolging van zijn vijanden. Dat is op zichzelf al een novum: de president bemoeit zich rechtstreeks met het opsporingsbeleid van het ministerie van justitie, waarmee hij de scheiding der machten aan zijn laars lapt. Hij eist vervolging van de oud-directeur van de FBI, James Comey en minister van justitie Letitia James van New York vanwege hun rol in de afzettingsprocedures tegen Trump. De openbare ministeries in Virginia en New York stelden onderzoeken in tegen Comey en James, maar vonden geen enkel strafbaar feit.Dat is voor Trump onaanvaardbaar. ‘Ze hebben twee keert een impeachment tegen me ingesteld en me vijf keer aangeklaagd, OM NIETS. ER MOET NU RECHT WORDEN GEDAAN!!! schreef hij aan Bondi, in zijn bekende kapitalen en met uitroeptekens. Dat kwam een dag nadat – en daar komt de parallel met Nixon – Trump van een hoofdaanklager, Erik Siebert, eiste dat hij rechtszaken zou beginnen tegen Comey en James. Siebert nam onmiddellijk ontslag. Trump loog dat hij Siebert heeft ontslagen. Trums wraak zicht zich ook op de media. Hij was euforisch over het ontslag van talkshow-presentator Jimmy Kimmel door ABC vanwege zijn commentaar op de moord op Charley Kirk, en zal nog bozer zijn dat die zijn baan terugkrijgt. Stephen Colbert, ontslagen door CBS, mag niet terug. Beide omroepen hebben schikkingen met Trump getroffen. Zijn strategie is om alle media die kritisch over hem berichten juridisch te vervolgen. Bondi probeert een onderscheid te maken tussen de grondwettelijk gewaarborgde vrijheid van meningsuiting en een persoonlijke aanval op de president, wat daarbuiten zou vallen. Ook dat is een novum in de Amerikaanse geschiedenis: dreigende censuur. Wees niet verbaasd als er dezer dagen een MAGA-krant wordt opgezet die De Waarheid heet. O necelý rok neskôr zahynul tragicky pri cvičnom lete aj prvý človek vo vesmíre, Jurij Gagarin. Prizrieme sa bližšie okolnostiam oboch týchto tragédií.

Potřebujeme staromódní disciplínu při učení, a pak se z toho stane radost. Obrátí se to. Jednoho dne si řekneme: I já umím číst Homéra.“ Steiner tímto přístupem zosobňuje tu linii západní intelektuální tradice, která počítá s tím, že vztah mezi učitelem a žákem bývá spojen i se zraňováním – často oboustranným.Jiný postoj zastává Komenský. V jeho koncepci není učitel mág s právem manipulace, ale zahradník, který své žáky nenásilně vede. „Učitel má napodobovat přírodu: nic neurychluje, nic nevynechává, ale všechno činí ve svůj čas a postupně,“ poznamenává v Didactica magna. V otázce kázně se však Steiner i Komenský zas potkávají. Heslo škola hrou nelze zaměňovat za škola zábavou.Jak Steiner, tak třeba Jan Patočka, který Komenského dílo svébytně rozvíjí, zdůrazňují, že dvacáté století – ač se označuje za století výchovy – je jedinečné svou vnitřní nevychovaností a neukázněností.
