This week, we, of course, covered the ongoing Google Search ranking volatility. Google is now blending AI Mode directly into AI Overviews. Google's home page search bar added a new upload feature to take you into AI Mode...
The title says it all really: the Indieventure podcast is celebrating a couple of milestones, and you're all invited! Hope you like parties where three people indulge in absolute bullshit banter at length because that's what we've got for you today as we mark both our 50th episode and our podcast's only ever-so-slightly belated second birthday. You really do deserve to hear some of this without being spoiled by any pesky context beforehand, so suffice to say that Rebecca has put together a quiz with a heavy visual component (check out our blog for the companion piece to that!) and Liam has written A Thing. Don't ask. Just listen. Trust me, it's better that way. After completely wearing ourselves out with that nonsense, we mellow out a bit with a slightly more sensible second half in which we discuss a few games we've been playing recently – including The Séance of Blake Manor, Hades II, PEAK, and Demonschool – before making a very optimistic wishlist of all the amazing 2025 indies we'd love to play before recording our GOTY episode but, like, we're starting to get a bit nervous about the timeframe on that, not gonna lie. Finally onto hyperfixations, this week with some completely improvised bonus bullshit about which Pokémon starter type each of us would be! Liam (grass type) has been finishing his 2025 Goodreads challenge by reading some of the most acclaimed short novels he could find, including The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Leo Tolstoy, Foster by Claire Keegan, and Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut. Rachel (fire type) is once again bingeing The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which has become surprisingly meta in its new season. And Rebecca (water type) somehow hadn't heard of The Amazing Digital Circus until very recently, but now she's been completely drawn in by the hype. Our music was written and performed by Ollie Newbury! Find him on Instagram at @newbsmusic. Meanwhile, you can find us at indieventurepodcast.co.uk or wherever you listen to podcasts. Don't forget that you can now join our dedicated Discord too, and be sure to check out our new Steam Curator page if you simply still can't get enough of us!

We're revisiting one of The Undertaker's greatest rivalries for it's 20th anniversary on an all new Talking Taker! Join wrestling superfans Alex Doriot and Travis White on their encyclopedic exploration digging up The Dead Man as we take the time-traveling hearse back to 2005 and the epic conclusion of the Randy Orton-Undertaker feud inside Hell In A Cell at Armageddon 2005. It's a bloody battle that helped establish Orton as a main event player and also helped The Dead Man get his groove back for the next chapter of his career. We're doing this one in our classic watchalong format so we'll give you the timestamp to check out the match with us but as always we'll keep it entertaining even if you can just listen. Along the way we'll discuss what life was like for us back in 2005, why we were haters of The Viper back in the day and how he finally won us over, the short-lived beauty of Taker's full beard, Bob Orton's inexcusable medical history omissions, and so much more. Plus we've got our monthly Undertaker Sightings and our annual Christmas Gift Exchange! Download, enjoy, and Taker Easy! Pick up our new P.S.K. Motorcycle Patch Logo merch over TeePublic.com and celebrate 25 years of the Biker Taker with us! Listen to "Reconstruction", the new full length album from Travis White! In celebration of the early days of Fishing the DMV, we're revisiting our very first two episodes — a double feature focused on the Shenandoah River and the anglers who know it best.First, we sit down with Travis Edens of King Fisher Guide Service, a veteran river guide with more than 33 years of experience fishing, teaching, and putting clients on fish. Travis has spent over 15 years dialing in both the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers, and he shares his approach, insights, and hard-earned lessons from these renowned fisheries.Next, we talk with Neil Quince, a dedicated local angler known for chasing mega smallmouth bass on the Shenandoah during the winter. Neil breaks down seasonal patterns, cold-water tactics, and the mindset required to consistently find trophy fish when most anglers hang it up.Whether you're revisiting the beginning of Fishing the DMV or discovering it for the first time, this two-part launch is packed with river knowledge and real-world experience. Please support Fishing the DMV on Patreon!!! https://patreon.com/FishingtheDMVPodcast If you are interested in being on the show or a sponsorship opportunity, please reach out to me at fishingtheDMV@gmail.com If you are interested in booking a trip with King Fisher Guide Services his contact information: Kingfisher Website: http://www.kfguideservices.com/ Kingfisher Email Address: tedens@kfguideservices.com Kingfisher Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/POTOMACRIVERSMALLIES#!/potomacriversmallmouth Kingfisher Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kingfisherguideservices/?hl=en Please checkout our Patreon Sponsors Catoctin Creek Custom Rods: https://www.facebook.com/CatoctinCreekCustomRods Jake's bait & Tackle website: http://www.jakesbaitandtackle.com/ Tiger Crankbaits on Facebook!! https://www.facebook.com/tigercrankbaits Jake's bait & Tackle website: http://www.jakesbaitandtackle.com/ Fishing the DMV Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Arensbassin/?ref=pages_you_manage Fishing the DMV Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/fishingthedmv/?utm_medium=copy_link #bassfishing #fishingtheDMV #fishingtipsSupport the show

Five years on the mic feels different when you slow down and look back. We open with gratitude—listeners, guests, and day‑one sponsors—and then dive into a story of reinvention with our friend and radio pro, Becky Mits. She takes us from a tough November layoff to a whirlwind weekend in San Diego that led to a new home, a new team, and a role that finally fits: executive producer who still jumps on the mic with a fresh perspective. The reason she said yes wasn't a bigger market; it was a healthier culture. Real collaboration, clean communication, and space to bring her voice when it counts.Becky pulls back the curtain on modern morning radio: day‑ahead prep, log timing, phones, prizes, news beats, music flow, and why her single‑30 POV balances cohosts with families. We get into craft—cutting crutch words, board work, and the weird magic of talking solo for three minutes without a net. Life in San Diego comes with tradeoffs and perks: stolen packages and street noise, but also Padres games, SeaWorld throwbacks, LA concerts, and actual hoodies weather. She's honest about privacy too—enjoying low-key anonymity after Hawaii and keeping a new relationship off social while still sharing life on-air.We also celebrate personal milestones: wedding memories, a father–daughter dance that shook the room, and the everyday work of parenting a teenager with trust and guardrails. On the business side, we break down “Leid Back,” our R&B day party built for grown energy—great DJs, early evenings, sold‑out vibes, and smart scaling. If you're chasing a pivot, this conversation is a blueprint: protect your mindset, choose your rooms carefully, and let gratitude fuel momentum. If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend, and drop a rating with one takeaway you're bringing into your next chapter.

It's the 8th anniversary of the release of Season 0! Eight years, guys, I feel old just saying that! And I gotta say, it's been a slower ride to the top than I originally expected. Or rather, a slower ride to a point when you could start to see the possibility of reaching the top But as I say in the intro, it's all about 7 seasons and a movie OR finding the power of friendship along the way. And I've sure as hell found a lot of wonderful people to share this journey with Let's get into another special episode of TABTA, but first, a message to our heroes! —--------------------- Want more 7th Valkyrie? This week on Two Parents & A Podcast — it's our 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! We're celebrating two years together by looking back on the highlights, funniest moments (you guys already know this one LOL), low points, and the best thing we did for our relationship this past year. But before we get all sentimental… we're talking about why Daylight Saving Time is every parent's worst nightmare, whether adults should keep foul balls at baseball games (+ I discovered what a 50/50 raffle is hahahahha), and when a baby OFFICIALLY becomes a toddler. Plus — is it too early to decorate for Christmas? (Apparently not this year???) We talk a lot about pepper (NEED you guys to chime in in the comments) and there's also a classic Bicker of the Week: Apple Maps vs. Google Maps (!!!). And in Things We DMed Each Other: why second-born boys might statistically be more of a handful

In this reflective episode, Kreed honors four years of the Estranged Heart podcast, exploring themes of healing, personal growth, and the evolution of estrangement. She shares her journey from victimhood to healing, the challenges of navigating fractures in relationships, and the importance of humility and reverence in the process. The conversation emphasizes the beauty of embracing the messy middle of life and the ongoing conversation with change.TakeawaysHealing doesn't come from erasing our pain; it comes from staying present to it.Conviction is shaped in the heat of confusion, not certainty.Life is gloriously imperfect, and change is a constant companion.Messiness is not weakness; it's where strength grows.Love can evolve, and we must learn to live with open hearts.www.TheEstrangedHeart.comEmail: hello@TheEstrangedHeart.comWork with Kreed: https://theestrangedheart.com/services(private coaching, mediation, support groups, webinars, etc.)The Heart Collective: https://theestrangedheart.com/membershipFacebook Support Group for Estranged Moms (facilitated by Kreed)https://www.facebook.com/groups/estrangedmotherssupportgroupTo support the podcast and Kreed's work with estranged and reconciled parents and adult children: https://buymeacoffee.com/kreedrevere
