The message aims to show that children are a gift from God, and they need both parents to thrive. God will help those who don't have both parents at home; the church is where you find help for parenting, uncles, aunts, sisters, and brothers.

Bishop Hannington
Whether we’re building something or protecting something, if the Lord is not driving it, if the Lord is not over it, if the Lord is not in it, we do it in vain. We should be building; we should be watching, but God leads the charge in creating, preserving, and parenting. Our working and watching shouldn’t be driven by anxious toil, but by the love of God. Hard work and rest do not have to be at odds with one another, but become enemies quickly when we approach either without an understanding of the love of God. God is already building and watching our kids because they are His gifts. They are His arrows in our hands, and they go far beyond where parents will go. So we must point our children at things that matter. - The parents' job is to teach and train and disciple their kids to be lovers and livers of the Gospel. 1. We need fathers who protect. 2. We need fathers who prepare. 3. We need fathers who pray. **The song "Psalm 127" is written and preformed by The Corner Room - all rights reserved.

Why do we work? Because God created us to work with Him. But we often weary ourselves with anxious toil.

“Who’s Really In Charge” Psalm 127:1-5 Mr. Chip Cowsert
Only that which God blesses lasts. Everything in our lives will rise and fall according to the will of God. As we build our lives, we must pay attention to who and what we are building for.

This message touched on points in how we can do better as families. We need to admit to the sin in our own lives and confess it. Then we need to commit to moving forward by resolving the issues that are holding us back.
In this message, Pastor Dan explores the implications of God's sovereignty in our achievements. Apart from God, our best efforts are temporary at best. But when the Lord is the motivation and driving force, our accomplishments will have eternal value. Nathan works from Psalm 127 to see what work and rest look like apart from God and the bad fruit that they produce. However, when a person joins what God is already doing, this produces the most fruitful and most effortless work and rest.

Rev. Darin Stone continues our series from the Psalms of Ascent. Psalm 127 reminds us that unless God is at the center of something, it is in vain. We need to build on the foundation of God's promises found in His Word. God made us to actively rest in Him. God is in control. We are to humbly depend on Him and work faithfully for His glory. Parenting is a key area where we need to actively rest in the Lord and be thankful stewards of God's gift of children.
