Why Biblical Authority
Bible study can be misunderstood as personal comfort and an intellectual pursuit. But we must allow the Bible to read us and train us in God’s ways.

Teaching from the Word of God.
False teachers have been prevalent throughout Christianity. In today's message, we will address some of the NAR's false teachings and their ties to the New Age. God's word guards us against false teachers because of its sufficiency, inerrancy, clarity, and necessity.

We all want to be the types of Christians who are strong in our faith and able to help others grow in theirs. But sometimes, when we think about living this kind of life, we can get overwhelmed because we feel like we can’t measure up. Thankfully, the scriptures give us some insight into this concern through the life of Timothy. Timothy had an amazing faith, but it wasn’t always this way – he grew over time! Join us on Sunday as we plan to examine how he grew, and talk about how we can do the same thing today!
Does the Bible tell us everything we need to live the Christian life? Or has God not shared with us important things we need? In response to these types of Christians the Reformers proclaimed, with Scripture, that the Bible is sufficient for us to know God and what he expects of us. Join us as we seek to grow in our appreciation of God’s Word!

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. -2 Timothy 3:16-17

Trustworthy teachers are those who lead us to the trustworthy Scriptures, which in turn lead us to the trustworthy Savior.
Continuing our series "Just the Essentials," we turn to consider the role of Scripture in the life of the believer. Paul's second letter to Timothy reminds us why we keep the Bible at the center of our corporate and personal spiritual lives, allowing it to inform, nourish, and make demands of us. This letter also gives us a tremendous model to follow, a model of passing on a love and respect for Scripture to the next generations.

The Bible might be the most beloved and neglected book in America. Americans love the Bible so much almost everyone—87 percent of households—has a copy. How much of the Bible have you personally read? Why have you not read the bible more? Listen as Pastor Hubbard breaks down the importance of reading your bible.
Do you or your family enjoy camping? It can feel great to get away from everything that usually holds your focus, to enjoy the beauty of nature, and to enjoy it with people you care about. What's not so great is going camping and realizing you forgot something you needed: a sleeping bag, a flashlight, a lighter, clothing. Those are all important. God hasn't left us under-prepared for this journey we are on with Him. He has equipped us with all of the tools we'll need. This week we'll look into 2 Timothy 1 and discover more about the tool of being "rooted."
In this sermon Pastor Keith looks at the discipleship relationship between the Apostle Paul and Timothy and explains how all Christians are called to continue in the truths of Scripture that they have learned, even in the face of opposition. Disciples of Jesus are followers of Jesus who will experience persecution but they must persevere.

Paul’s strategy for passing on the faith is expressed in II Timothy 2:2 above: Invest in the lives of others! But not just anyone… to those who will entrust it to others.

Life has a way of distracting and tugging us away from the truth. The Apostle Paul reminds us to hold fast through godly friendships and God's word, the Bible.
This summer, the “Jewels in the Attic” series has addressed Biblical passages that are either not very familiar, might be mundane or boring, or have some troublesome aspects to them. Today, we consider the value and role that Biblical texts such as these – and the Bible as a whole – can play in our life. How can the Bible give us meaning and relevance? How does God use these passages to speak to us about things happening in our community and nation today? How can we make Bible reading more a part of our lives? Larry R. Hayward concludes the summer sermon series preaching from 2 Timothy 3:10-17. The Scripture passage is read by Rhyan Hance.

Under The Microscope - The Word Authority, Substance and Sufficiency
We have spent these last several weeks studying together the things about the End Times or Last Days before Jesus Christ returns for His Bride, the Church. We know that the very next thing on God's eschatological calendar is the RAPTURE of the Church. But, what are we, as believers, to do until then? How must we live until that day? Listen as our Senior Pastor, Dr. Randy Cheek, shares six precepts about how the believer should live in these days that precede the coming of Jesus Christ in the clouds to rapture His Church. Thank you so much for listening. And, may your heart be challenged and encouraged as you listen. God bless you!
