This week we say goodbye to our annual block of sports films. Dry your eyes.To ring in the end, we've decided to jump in our time machine and go back to the magical age of 1998 to visit the David Zucker film BASEketball starring those guys from that show on that network, women from Playboy, Snake Plisken's driver, the villain of Superman III, and a bunch of other people that showed up that day (we guess). In this film, childhood friends Joe Cooper (Trey Parker), and Doug Remer (Matt Stone) are slackers that invent a new game that becomes the hottest game in the country. When Cooper becomes the owner of the team, and essentially the league, rival team owner Baxter Cain (Robert Vaughn) drives a wedge between the friends that threatens the league. So much silliness. So many jokes that have not aged well, but it's still a fun movie. Right? Right?Support the show (https://plotaholics.com)

From the dark mind of John Carpenter comes this classic action/adventure movie. In a dystopian future all criminals are put on the island of Manhattan – escape is only by death – when Air Force One gets shot down and lands on Manhattan, one man (an ex military turned convict guy with a serious ‘tude) must go in and save him – Snake Plisken. This classic 80s action movie had us disagreeing lots!

Will Trist(r)a(m)n joins for a second week to bring balance to the force and we discuss the often overlooked ‘Tigerland’ starring Colin Farrell out of Daredevil. He’s surprisingly watchable.WHO WILL WIN? Will Tristan join the legion of Snake Plisken fans or will a modest budget and dated haircuts put him off cult 80’s action flicks forever? Start listening immediately.
Join Chuck and José as they venture back to the futuristic year of 1997 to discuss the adventures of Snake Plisken in John Carpenter's "Escape from New York." The question is....will José survive?

Back to the Movies returns to kick off the summer blockbuster season with a review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2! Starlord, Gamora, Rocket and the rest of the gang are all back to deliver the sequel we never dreamed we'd see before the release of the first film. It's bigger, features even more transgressive humor and co-stars none other than Snake Plisken himself, Kurt Russel. The sequel is almost too popular to fail, but does it stack up to the surprise of the first film?To answer the question, I'm joined by recurring guest host Laron Chapman to review Guardians of the Galaxy and discuss our current feelings on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the state of superhero films. With so many great options, has the genre started to outstay its welcome?Laron and I also discuss our most recent adventures in TV. 13 Reasons Why, American Gods and the final season of The Leftovers.Time Stamps:50 - Introductions1:57 - You People Status Update / Mono Anthology6:48 - What We've Been Watching - 13 Reasons Why, American Gods, The Leftovers17:51 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Review48:39 - Spoilers--KEEP IN TOUCH WITH LARON CHAPMANIndieGoGo: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/you-people–3#/Facebook: www.facebook.com/YouPeopleMovieTwitter: @youpeoplefilmInstagram: @you_people_film
