Happy June folks!! Summer is finally here and I am STOKED to be back with Trev Allen of the Struggling Artist Podcast, Mike Grattan of the YouTube Channel Punk As Folk, and Chris Chavez of That One Time At Bandcamp Podcast, bringing you another Bandcamp Friday Roundtable episode! We discussed some great picks this month, with some interesting criteria. I highly recommend checking out some of these great artists, and reaching out and supporting them on Bandcamp if you can! As always, you can find this episode on all our respective platforms. Enjoy!!
The Struggling Artist Podcast host, Trev Allen, joins us to enlighten us on rock music still being alive and well in the form of modern bands. We'll discuss his recommendations and the awesome work he does on his podcast.
I'm quite stoked to be back once again this month, along with Trev Allen of The Struggling Artist Podcast, Mike Grattan of the Punk As Folk Youtube channel, and Chris Chavez of That One Time At Bandcamp, for another Bandcamp Friday Rountable episode for March, 2022! This month, we were ALSO joined by a special guest, local musician Aria Rad of Coffin Salesman! This episode is understandably longer than normal, but rest assured, it's jam-packed with excellent album pics from everyone, some top-notch reviews and plenty of entertaining discussion! On the first Friday of every month, Bandcamp waives their fees, so all revenue from purchases on the site go directly to the artists. Check out some great new music and support some artists today if you can! As always, if you're a fan of local and independent music, try to reach out and support the artists you love by purchasing their music and merchandise on platforms like Bandcamp, which facilitate direct sales and provide artists with a significantly better source of revenue than any streaming services!
In this episode, only the best is good enough! Were you a Lego kid? Did you cut your teeth on Playmobil and Duplo? Graduate to Erector sets and Kinex? Who was enamored with Lego from an early age, and who took having a kid to get into it? What does the brand have to offer outside of a bunch of bricks, anyway? Hang out with the boys as they talk all about those automatic binding bricks from Denmark! This week's promo is for The Struggling Artist with Trev Allen. Listen to Trev have fascinating & casual conversations with loads of musicians and other creatives. Geeksploration: the Podcast is a proud member of The Geekly Grind family. It's time for the second annual Itch 12 Pods of Christmas, wherein we shout out some of our favorite podcast friends and direct you, the listener, to a pair of episodes from across our shows to keep you entertained through the holiday season. We're very grateful for the kindness and camaraderie shown by the Twitter podcast community. A show that holds a special place for The Itch is the first podcast to ever interview US: The Struggling Artist Podcast. Trev Allen is a music lover and mental health advocate who found a great way to do both as he talks to fellow creators and musicians about the struggles of making it in music and life. You can find The Struggling Artist on the Twitters @podcastTSA. We recommend listening to our appearances on each other's shows! Trev was kind enough to include us among his many interviews, and we returned the favor by bringing him on to fill us in on two topics we rarely touch on: regional scenes and punk rock! And hey, when you're done with all of that, follow our New Rock Roundup playlist and then connect with us! itchrocks.com Twitter.com/itchrocks Facebook.com/itchrocks Instagram.com/itchrocks itchrocks@gmail.com Thank you so much for listening. Happy holidays! We know that today some of y'all will still be knocked out and/or dining on the remnants of yesterday's feast, and other psychos amongst you will be running around doing work on your Christmas shopping. Either way, what you'll need is a smattering of assorted clips, convos, and bloopers from various Itch recordings to keep your ears as satisfied as your stomachs. To that end, we bestow upon you, without intro, context, or further adieu, The Itch's Thanksgiving tradition: Leftovers II. Enjoy! We're giving thanks to every artist, podcaster, and ostensible subject matter expert that recorded with us and/or invited us to record with them this year. Rich Lamberty, Trev Allen, Blake Bedsaul, Matty Madiro, Chill Pill Liz, Robb Rivera, Jason Zeilstra, Dan Murphy, Brian Colburn, Podioslave, Daisy Dead, Russ, Mike Protich, Eva Marie, Lauren Carey, and Jay Scott... we're grateful for you all. On this super-special episode, I had the honor of being invited to sit down with Trev Allen of The Struggling Artist Podcast, Chris Chavez of That One Time At Bandcamp, and Mike of Punk As Folk, to have a roundtable discussion in honor of Bandcamp Friday! The first Friday of each month, Bandcamp waives their fees and all proceeds from digital sales on the Bandcamp platform go directly to the artist. Buying music and merch on this day is a great way to reach out and support local musicians even more so than normal! In this episode we each discuss and review several different albums and singles from artists we know and have discovered on Bandcamp. It was a lot of fun and a great exercise in discovering some new music! As always, no matter when you're listening to this episode, buying music directly from local and independent artists as much as possible is the best way to support them! I hope to be continuing this tradition with my fellow podcasters and bringing you Bandcamp Friday Roundtable episodes each month!

Earlier this year, The Itch had the privilege of being guests on The Struggling Artist Podcast, where we had a great conversation with our friend Trev Allen about the history (and future) of The Itch. As we prepare for our return, Trev was kind enough to let us post his episode here. So we invite you to give our interview a listen, and then explore the rest of Trev's conversations with musicians and other artists! We may not have had a new episode for a few weeks, but we've been listening to a ton of great new music! Check out our updated New Rock Roundup playlist, and then connect with us! Not content with the incestuous vibes of Killers, Trev Allen returns to the pod for a feature with explicit brother-on-mustached sister fucking with the epic feature Bullets Of Justice. But before we can get into that, we discuss a pandemic-inspired short film about the importance of remembering your face mask, a crowdfunding campaign best described as Frank Capra meets Gaspar Noe, a monster in the walls (and pipes?), and the ALL NEW BAGMAN TRAILER!! Trev Allen, host of The Struggling Artist Podcast, joins me to talk about podcasting philosophy, mental health, being comfortable with violence, and managing bars. Also he helps me come to terms with having shaved my head
We are back and things are getting weird! If you haven't noticed it's Tuesday. We have moved our drop day from Fridays to Tuesdays! You may also notice the title of this episode looks a bit off. Trev is the guest on today's show! Dan Allen, from The Movie Cellar Podcast steps in as host so you all can learn a little about Trev. They talk about creating podcasts, acting, writing, and Trev's crippling anxiety. Hang on to your seats this one is a deep dive!
Through insane equipment issues, we persevere to deliver a raucous episode. This week we're joined by staffer, Trev Allen. Is it coincidence that we encounter technical problems with his arrival? You be the judge. We open the news feed by discussing one of the biggest Super Bowl surprises, THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX. Bad Robot likes to keep audiences on their toes, and an announcement made 4 hours before premiering is certainly a way to do that. Next, we split over the strange and twisted fairy tale story that is NOVEMBER. It looks gorgeous, but is it just too weird? CHANNEL ZERO is busting back into your television with CHANNEL ZERO: BUTCHER BLOCK, and it looks to be the best season yet, while Blumhouse fires political shots with the marketing of THE FIRST PURGE. Round two starts with a review of Adam Green's latest effort, VICTOR CROWLEY, and is followed by a review of the aforementioned THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX. Everyone is fairly in synch with their feelings on both of these films, which you can watch now. We end the show with a nice, friendly, co-operative game of TAG LINES… Yeah, you guys know better then that. Shit gets talked, and a whole lot of other shenanigans on episode 137 of The Modern Horrors Podcast.
