Hey long time no hear! A few things came up in the Geekosphere lately that warranted getting on mic. The primary one is Deadpool/Wolverine. We went to see it and we have some thoughts. A warning though, this is a **FULL SPOILER** review and we very much recommend against listening if you have any interest in seeing the film. Other that that we chat about Superman costumes and RDJ being the new Dr. Doom. Oh yeah...Space Oddities 3 is finally coming to Kickstarter. The pre-launch page is up now and the full campaign launches on 8/10! Also, if you haven't had a chance to read the first issue, it is only $1 on Drive Thru Comics right now. Wait, it isn't February anymore?! Keen eared listeners may have heard us mention a debrief that was recorded but hadn't come out yet. Well, this is it! It took Ben a looooong time to get around to editing it. Thankfully it isn't too time sensitive. In this episode; Ben finally got around to watching the Dial of Destiny, review of MotU Revolution, and a few other bits and baubles. Enjoy! What, us worry? The usual couple of idiots are back to chat about an irreverent American institution, and one that tickled their funny bones since they were little lads. What were the origins of MAD? Who were some of Jon's artistic idols? Just where did Alfred E Neumann come from anyway? Geeksploration: the Podcast is a proud member of The Geekly Grind family. In keeping with our recent level of relevance, we present to you a debrief we recorded about a month ago! We talk about The Dial of Destiny, Paul Ruebens' passing, and some other distractions! Note: Sorry this took so long to edit and release. I was dragging my feet and then I got Baldur's Gate 3 and it was all over. Which, by the way, is absolutely fantastic and I will be getting back to playing as soon as I am finished typing this. Additional Note: Apparently the initial upload failed and it took me 2 weeks to notice, uhg... We are back with another Creator's Corner (I swear we'll record some regular content when our friends stop creating awesome art!), this time we are talking with Alex Osborne about Polar Destroyer and his podcast, What's Your Spaghetti Policy. What inspired Alex to try his hand at comic book writting? What is the purpose of his podcast? What happened in his childhood that made him hate penguins so much? These questions and more will be answered! Back POLAR DESTROYER now! A polar bear, whom we know as Jack, is king of the North Pole and sits atop the societal hierarchy of arctic animals.. until he doesn't. A mutinous uprising, led by the Penguins with their superior technology and nefarious experiments, succeeds at dethroning Jack, or so it seems. Against all odds and from the brink of death, Jack must be rebuilt from the shadows to become a cybernetic killing machine fueled by rage and bent on revenge...a POLAR DESTROYER! Oh, hello there. It has been a while, but we're back baby!! It was a nice break but we are ready to get back in the game (albeit not quite as veraciously as before). He there loyal Geeksploronauts! Jon and I were out of town last week and a bit jammed up this week. So today's episode is yet again not an episode, but we did want to put out a call to arms. Next week is going to be our 4 year podiversary! It is hard to believe that it has been that long, but calendars don't lie (except for the Mayan one about that whole world ending in 2012 thing)! We would love to hear from you! If you have a minute and have enjoyed the show please leave us a voicemail at (916) ORC-TURD! It can be about why you listen, what you enjoy about the show, or just about something rad you've done in the last 4 years. Thank you to every last one of you for listening. We know there are a dizzying array of entertainment options out there, and the fact that we made the cut for anyone still boggles out minds.
Hey everyone, this week the boys were all jammed up stuffing comics into boxes to fulfill the Space Oddities #2 Kickstarter and they pretty much forgot to pick a topic. So they fell back on old reliable, comic books. In this episode Jon & Ben go over the current comics they have been enjoying, a few titles they are on the fence about, and just a couple disappointments. If your headed to your LCS and are interested in some spoiler free recommendations (only a couple of which are from the big two), then this is the episode for you! And if you don't give a shit about comics, then we won't fault you for skipping it.
