 Jeremiah and Verdel Jones have been married for 30 years. In 1983 they began dating as high school sweethearts. In 1987 Jeremiah joined the US Navy and Verdel attended SUNY Farmingdale. A year later at almost 21 and 19, Jeremiah and Verdel married and moved to Boston, MA. After a few years in MA, Jeremiah in the Navy and Verdel finishing up her Bachelor's degree, they moved back to Long Island and began their family. ----more----The Joneses have two children Marcus 26 and Miya 22. Through the years they have grown together - grown apart - and grew more in love with each other through not only their unconditional love for each other but through their devoted friendship. As the CEO of Find Your Purpose, Terryl hosted and produced an online radio show, “A Parent’s Reality”, to give parents a platform to address the difficult issues they face raising a child in today’s society. She also made several appearances on the Queens Public Television (QPTV) shows such as “Another Chance to Live” and “Caribbean Classroom”. Terryl has served as a keynote speaker, MC, panel member, and facilitates many empowerment and training workshops. Terryl published her book, “Losing Love, Having Faith and Finding Hope” in 2013. The book touches the heart of families; it has you think about the relationship you have with your child(ren) and the role you play in a child’s life, as well as offer solutions to develop and strengthen these relationships going forward. Dr. Sheila Williams has over 20 years of successful professional experience. Her expertise is very eclectic as she is an Independent Consultant (SW Consulting Services, LLC), a Mental Health Therapist, a Behavior Analyst, Counselor, Published Author and Educational Leader where she currently holds the position of Director of Education. She has an extensive educational background as she holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Central Florida, an MA in Counseling from Webster University and a Ph.D. in Leadership and Education from Barry University. After caring for her Mother who suffered from Clinical Depression and Multiple Sclerosis, Dr. Williams decided to pursue her education and career in the Mental Health field. With a love for education and a background in helping others, she remained in the Social Service Industry for over 10 years. She saw the correlation between at-risk students and social/emotional disorders and decided to make the transition to higher education administration. Dr. Williams has a natural love for life and finds joy in helping others to reach their fullest potential. She believes in taking adversity and turning it into an opportunity to propel oneself to the next level. Dr. Williams is an avid reader and enjoys traveling, writing, researching and spending time with her family friends. She often is encountered by those who can’t believe her story, so with that, she decided to write her autobiography. Ms. Stephanie Gives was born and raised in New York City and is a graduate of Central Islip High School Class of 1982. She moved to Columbia, South Carolina to attend college and worked at the law firm of McLaren & Lee were she enjoyed helping families transition to their next phase in life.  After the birth of daughter, Tiffanie, Ms. Gives returned to college and is a graduate of Midlands Technical College where she received her Associates of Arts degree.   Inspired by her love of children, Stephanie is an educator, artist, and mother of Tiffanie Nina Simone Hayes.  She is also the founder of Dreams of Becoming a Better Me.  The Tiffanie Nina Simone Foundation.  The foundation was created in memory of Tiffanie who passed away in 2011 from the neurological disorder, Rett Syndrome at the age of 14.  Rett Syndrome is a progressive disorder that affects girls in the infancy stages and currently there is no known cure but great strides are being made daily through research.  Ms. Gives is a frequent guest speaker at local community programs and women groups in her city and the South East. Stephanie has been an educator for Pre-K programs for a number of years. Akhirah Gaskin is the author of Gwen and The Thing Under The Bed.  In 2014 while attending middle school in Charlotte North Carolina, with collaboration of her mother NR Gaskin, Akhirah turned her short story; written in elementary school into a family fun children’s book.  Akhirah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, writing, and playing soccer and running track.  She is looking forward to writing more books. Kelsie Akers is currently the host of K-Star Radio Show.  She is a high school student in Baltimore Maryland and believes in the importance of teaching young girls that they can be anything and everything they want to be.  She loves riding houses, fashion designing and Anime.  She is also working on writing her first book and enjoys drawing and playing instruments.
