In this college football podcast, Couz & Jonathan will preview the upcoming WVU football game against the UAlbany Great Danes. They will give their keys to the game, their position battles to watch and one key player for the Mountaineers. They will also wrap-up the week 1 game against the Penn State Nittany Lions, which WVU lost 34-12. The fanbase around West Virginia football is growing anxious after the Mountaineers poor performance in their week 1 loss to the Nittany Lions. Week 2 of the 2024 college football season gives Neal Brown's squad a chance to rebound and fix the mistakes that cost them in the opening week. WVU will be led, once again, by Garrett Greene. The gunslinger struggled against Penn State and completed only 53% of his passes - which actually matched his percentage from the entire 2023 season. Greene, who typically also does damage to opposing defenses with his legs, was unable to gain any significant yardage in week one, but will likely look to correct that in week two. The two-headed monster at running back for the Mountaineers, C.J. Donaldson and Jahiem White, will also look to get their mojo back against UAlbany. Can they do better than the combined 80 yards against PSU? One would hope so against an FCS opponent like the Great Danes. Defensively, WVU will be led by redshirt freshman linebacker, Josiah Trotter, who made a splash by getting 10 total tackles in week one, which was the most of any player on the team. That's impressive, considering it was his very first game at the college level and it came against a top ten Penn State team. The Great Danes have several former power four players on their roster, including wide receiver Seven McGee, who once played for Deion Sanders at Jackson State. Prior to that, McGee played for the Oregon Ducks. McGee had a big game in week one of the season as he caught five passes for 125 yards and a touchdown in a win over Long Island University. Passing the ball to McGee is former Wisconsin Badger backup quarterback, Myles Burkett. Burkett had a rough game against LIU, only completing 12 of 26 passes. However, it was his first game as the signal caller for the Great Danes and he will likely bounce back in week two. Albany also have a strong running back in Griffin Woodell. The 5 foot 10 inch back ran for 85 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries against LIU last week. He will look to have another strong outing against WVU behind a veteran offensive line that returns from last year's team, which made the FCS National Semi-Finals. Will the Mountaineers take care of business against their lone non-power 4 opponent? See what Couz and Jonathan have to say in the episode. #wvu #wvufootball #ualbany

The ways politics make us angry just might surprise you! Trish Ahjel Roberts wasn't always mind-blowingly happy. Her journey started in 2010. She was a divorced mom who had just moved to a new city. She was in the midst of a painful breakup, money was tight, and she was convinced that her boss hated her. This wasn't how Trish imagined her life. One day when she was at her wits end, she sat down at her kitchen table and googled the word "meditation." The next day she went to a lunchtime session at a meditation center that completely changed her life. What else didn't she know? She started studying Buddhist philosophy, got certified as a yoga and meditation instructor, learned reiki healing, and became a certified life coach. Now as the founder and CEO of Mind-Blowing Happiness LLC, she uses her own personal struggle and success to help people just like you find freedom from anger and negative emotions so you can live authentically, walk in purpose, and reach your full potential. On episode 488 of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, we find out why Trish decided on Metropolitan College of New York and then Long Island University for her Masters, how she was able to get unstuck in life, why we get so upset over politics, how we can transform anger into positive action this political season, how we can get rid of our guilt and frustration, how we should combat betrayal, how we can get rid of road rage, what is unconscious bias and how that impacts our organization, and why diverse/authentic teams are best in college.
