While RPGs have no shortage of high-energy moments requiring intense strategizing, quick reflexes, or simply a box of tissues for the more emotional moments, it's important to have downtime between those to balance everything out. This episode is about "safe spaces" in RPGs, and our panelists did not always choose the kinds of song we expected of one another. We enjoyed hearing the various ways each of us wanted to represent safe spaces through a variety of musical means, and we'd love to hear your favorite music in this vein as well!Featuring: Mike Salbato, Audra Bowling, Gio Castillo, Tin Manuel; Edited by Paul DennisLinks for this episodeYouTube: Final Fantasy XV "Uncovered" TrailerRhythm Encounter 104 - Like a Dragon: Rhythm! | RPGFanTracklist0:06:31 - Maiden in Black (Shunsuke Kida) - Demon's Souls0:10:51 - Yohan Romantic (Spencer Bambrick) - Eternights0:26:48 - By the Campfire (Norikazu Miura) - Suikoden Tactics0:28:23 - Our Terms (Takafumi Imamura) - Final Fantasy XVI0:49:20 - Brink of Time (Yasunori Mitsuda) - Chrono Trigger0:51:44 - New Serena (Yuichi Kanatani) - Yakuza 41:23:30 - Song of the Ancients / Hollow Dreams (Keiichi Okabe, arr. Dave is joined by Matt aka Stormageddon for another Producer's Choice episode, focusing on why we love the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series. Ryu Ga Gotoku's long-running crime melodrama series has introduced us to some of our favorite protagonists, side characters and level 100 weirdos through the years, so we wanted to take some time and talk about it. You can find all of Matt's wonderful podcasts ("Fun" and Games, Reignite, Screen Snark) on your favorite podcast app or at their website (https://linktr.ee/dj_stormagedddon). Producer's Choice is a bonus series on Tales from the Backlog, where Patreon supporters at the "Tube Producer" level get to pick an episode topic and come on the show to chat about it. Hey Folks! Back at it with a much beloved, if not product placement driven, movie.
Jared and Anne Ladyem (anneladyem.com) continue their dive through the Yakuza series with Yakuza 4. We talk about all the new characters introduced as this is the first game to introduce multiple protagonists, all of the interconnected and winding story beats, and how this might be the weakest game in the series thus far.
Our stacked February comes to and end now as we look at the fairly recent Yakuza Remastered Collection and our thoughts on every included game and the series as a whole! You'll be thankful to hear that Code Breakers is back to normal, and with the expected winner, so is King of Requesters! There's cheesy JP vocal themes, some eurobeat but mainly a whole load of rock. Amplifiers at the ready!

With there being so much Yakuza hype around, it's finally time for ViPER to take a look at the series, from the perspective of someone who has little experience with the Japanese megafranchise. There's great music, console wars and... GORO!
Miło nam powrócić do Was po trzytygodniowej przerwie. Dziś porozmawiamy o odchodzącym PSP Go, pospekulujemy o nowych konsolach, a na koniec omówimy kilka świetnych gier. To wręcz nieprawdopodobne, ale szczególnie dużo uwagi poświęcimy Yakuzie 4.
