It seems like a favorite of my stories for listeners is the one I titled, “The Time I Peed On My Leg”. Apparently people enjoy hearing about embarrassing moments and I'm more than happy to be the guy you turn to when you need someone for a good point and laugh. To my mother and my wife's dismay, I'm a person who enjoys sharing the little things that most people would rather forget. I revel at the thought of seeing the faces of those around me when I tell one of these stories in a crowd and I invent expressions in my mind for those who hear these tales after I record them.      This will be one of those stories. And although I fear I might have spoiled it a little from the start by offering the reveal in the title, there's still a lot of meat in the middle for you.      I've been gone for a while. I'll get to the reasons why after the story because that's what you came here for, isn't it? The story? All I will tell you right now is that I had pretty much given up on Funny Messy Life and I had good reasons for it. But after listening to an audio book about good storytelling, I discovered there was still something left to give. I might just need to adjust a few things to get it right.    So to get things started in the way familiar to regular listeners, I'm Michael Blackston and I invite you now into a painful, and an embarrassing part if you think about it, of my Funny Messy Life. _________________________        I'm about 18 years old and we, my mom and stepdad, have just moved into a new home. We're all trying to acclimate to our surroundings, so I don't think any of us are sleeping well, which may account for the reason my mom was so quick to jump to my aid. Mom's attention to things that go bump in the night aren't the details to be observed at this moment though. Right now it's the extra tall glass of eggnog that I'm pouring for myself right after downing two burgers slathered in cheese, mayo, mustard, and parmesan. Mom's fried burger patties are a favorite of mine and so is eggnog, but I don't think the creators of those two delicacies ever intended them to be smashed together into one meal like a caveman might do.      But I'm 18 and I don't think about things like healthy eating, healthy sleeping, and the very real effects that can happen to a body - both loudly and painfully - when one or the other is ignored.      There's a football game being played and the pictures and sounds coming from it do nothing to help me with my frame of mind. It's all about what's going on between the hedges in Athens, Ga and I'm celebrating a victory for my Dawgs the only way a non-drinker who couldn't get a beer without help anyway because he's underage can. I'm cramming anything and everything that's edible down my gullet.      That's a bit of an exaggeration, actually. I am a human, so two fried burgers with cheese, both american sliced and in graded fake parmesan form, and a sloppy lake comprised of mayo, mustard, and ketchup, coupled with a herculean sized glass of eggnog, is enough to make any referee throw a flag for unnecessary stuffedness.       The 37 to 27 win against Auburn justifies my gluttony and what is waiting for me just a few hours from now holds no weight as far as consequences go. We have triumphed and all that exists to do in the moment is celebrate unabashedly, rewarding the players and coaching staff, and the entirety of BullDawg Nation by injesting grease and fat and sugar. I'm jubilant to say the least. We will lose three games this season, but tonight … tonight the stars blaze with the fire of victory! If God had shown Eve this game before telling her not to eat of the fruit, she may well have gnawed down the whole tree without thinking about it. Rabid jubilance will do that to a person.      We jump ahead now a few hours. Enough time for the ingredients I've partaken in to mingle and find that they have nothing in common. They bicker and insult each other so that before long, there is turmoil. Turmoil I do not see coming.      I'm sound asleep in my bed, dreaming about being naked in high school and late to take an exam for a class I haven't attended.      There is an interesting feeling now in the bottommost area of my intestines. I feel a dull ache beginning to swell there. In my half woke state, I perceive it as a round sort of pain, but it quickly develops into a different shape. Something sharp and pointy, like a knife or one of the daggers that pierced the flesh of Caesar on the Ides Of March.      This is a new pain for me. I'd snapped both of the bones in my arm at once after a fall when I was twelve and endured the pain of them setting the break. That was so painful that through my tears, I begged my mother to allow me to say the “ess word”. She said no, but I let loose a string of them at the apex moment anyway and she never mentioned it. I once fell face forward while carrying a jagged stick between my teeth and nearly sliced off my uvula. I once had the top of my head sliced open by an errant log when the neighbor kid was tossing it over me and didn't get enough air under it. And when I was seven, I got beat up by a six year old girl.      Nothing compares to the pain I'm feeling now as I leap from my bed and plow my way down the hall to the bathroom, heedless of anything in my path.      I could take it easy on you and say that it's nothing much. Just gas. But I'd be lying to you. I'll not go so far as to compare it to what a woman goes through during the throws of labor, although I will eventually come to refer to the feeling as “labor pains”. I will, however, admit that I truly believe it's the closest thing a male will ever get to it. I'm told that passing a kidney stone is far worse, but I've thankfully never had that experience. If you want to debate, I'll cede you the win because I understand a person who has passed a calcified brick through their urethra is pretty passionate about hanging onto the trophy for the worst pain experience.      The knife twists within my lower bowels and it feels as if all I need to do is release a great big gush of gas to feel better, but then the pain subsides. It goes away completely. Alright. Wonderful. Time to go back to sleep.      I stand and take two steps forward toward the door and it's back, doubled and now feeling less like a twisting knife inside me, but more like a flock of drunk elves operating a mining drill down there.      I slam myself back down to the toilet and pray. My skin goes cold and gooseflesh pops up all over my body in response. The hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. I want to call for my mommy, but I can't. I could never look her in the eye if she had to hold my hand while I sat on the porcelain throne through a rough bowel movement.      Then like the first time, it has passed. I'm skeptical. There's no pain now, but nothing else has happened either. I'm reminded of earthquakes and how the aftershocks can be worse than main tremor. I sit in the dark and begin to pray.      Dear God, I know I've done wrong. I see now that there is no room in me for this caliber of gluttony. I have sinned and I beg your forgiveness, so please take this from me. Sober the drunk elves inside me and show them the way to turn off the drill. I'll never try to have a baby, for I see that you have made man incapable not only by physics and also by pain tolerance. And I shall promise to always humble myself in the face of one who has passed a crystallized brick of calcium through the narrow opening of their urethra. Please just take this burden and let me be as far from it as east is to west. In Jesus' name. Amen.      The pain is still gone, so I stand. I wait in place for a while, beginning to see specks of light in the darkness where something is happening to my eyes. Then the pain comes again and I fall to the seat of the toilet. At least the seat isn't cold. It has taken the warm temperature of my body. Which is odd because I feel my skin grow cold again as one last aftershock, the worst of them, wrecks my body. The drunken elves have called their friends and a demolition team has arrived. The specks of light converge in front of me in the darkness so that suddenly I see a white hot flare and then there's darkness again.      Now the surface holding me up is cold and it supports the entire right side of my body. Cold, hard, unforgiving floor tile.      I hear a knock. I didn't realize I locked the door behind me when I came into the bathroom and behind the knocking is the voice of my mother. She has come for me anyway. Good old mom. Always looking out for me. Always there.      I don't feel the pain anymore. Something tells me the worst is over and I sigh, relieved.      “Michael! Michael, are you alright?! I heard a crash. What happened?!”      “I'm alright,” I tell her. “It's just gas.” _________________________        All true. I've only passed out once in my life and it was while I was on the toilet. Later in life I ate something similar and had another episode that resembled the one I just took you through. It was then that I realized I can't have dairy after I've eaten greasy beef. Lesson learned.      Quickly, let me tell you where I've been, what's been happening, and why I'm back. I promise it will have nothing to do with bathrooms, football, or poor eating choices.      Frankly, it boils down to time management. I have to prioritize some things and over the past few months, I've focused on my novel and the subsequent, seemingly endless revisions needed to get it print worthy. There was a long while that I had decided to let Funny Messy Life be over. Fortunately, I kept paying the bill to make it available to new listeners and I kept seeing people drop by for a download or two. Then I was listening to one of my favorite podcasters and podcast coach, Dave Jackson, and heard him mention for the eighteen-hundredth time that there was a book all storytellers should read. It's called Story Worthy by Matthew Dicks. I had a free credit on my Audible account, so I used to get the audio version of Matthew's book.     It changed my thinking about this podcast and blog. I realized I was indeed doing wrong for someone who is telling stories about their life. I learned a lot from the book and have started trying to apply the principles in it whenever I tell a story, whether I'm verbalizing it or writing it down. I decided to regroup when it comes to Funny Messy Life.      So here's how it's got to go if this train is to have more track.      I'm ramping up some things in my life that absolutely have to be at the forefront to find success. While I love Funny Messy Life, hence the reason I just can't seem to let it go, The other irons in my fire have the potential to actually change my life in a positive way.      My novels, my plays, and the production company I hope to start take a lot of time, effort, and concentration. I've decided that to keep Funny Messy Life going, it will be necessary to pare down the amount of content if I'm to keep it consistent.      Therefore from here forward, I plan to make this a once per month podcast/blog. I think I can dedicate enough time to write out episodes once a month.      The other thing is all about style. From here out the format of my storytelling will have a decidedly novelistic feel to it. I intend to do further things with these stories, including making them into a book of short stories, so writing them in that form from the start will be beneficial to me as well as great practice.      As always, there will be ways to contact me for comments or to tell me your own stories, but I'm not going to beg for it. There will be a mention at the end where you can go to reach out, but other than that, I won't put that burden on you. All you need to do is listen and enjoy.      With that being said, I know this first episode back from a long hiatus may have been a lot of literal potty humor, but it won't all be that way. I hope you have a fantastic month and we'll talk again in a few weeks. Until then, I'm Michael Blackston and I thank you for listening to another instance from my Funny Messy Life.

9 Ways To Fill Your Audience With Clients – PTC 424

Referrals are such a powerful way to land clients. If you've read "The Prosperous Coach" by Rich Litvin and Steve Chandler or listened to the Referral Marketing Guru podcast with Michael Griffiths, you know what referrals can do for your business. Though referrals are powerful, they aren't the only way to leverage an endorsement for your business. There are many other ways to use the influence of others to attract your ideal clients. On this episode, I want to give you 9 different ways to benefit from the influence of others to fill your pipeline with your ideal prospects. IDEAL CLIENTS Before you can attract your ideal clients, you need to know who they are and where you can find them. Grab my Ideal Listener Development worksheet to get a clear idea of whom we are attracting. Download it at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/listener. Who is your ideal client? What do you love about working with them? Which influencers already have the attention of your ideal client? You can't hit a target you can't see. Complete the Listener Development Worksheet to get the answers to these questions and more. It will help you find your clients. GROWTH EQUATION There are two sides of the equation to grow your audience. You need to get new listeners. Then, you need to keep your current listeners coming back episode after episode. If you only focus on attracting new listeners, it is like putting water in a bucket with holes in the bottom. The bucket will never fill. It won't matter how much you add, because it is leaking out as fast as you add it. What are you doing to keep your listeners pushing play? KEEP THEM There are three things you can do to keep listeners coming back again and again. First, effectively tease the next episode at the end of each show. Don't simply promote the next episode. Create some anticipation. Make them want to come back for your amazing content. Think movie trailer. Get your listeners to say, "I gotta hear that." Next, email your list each time you release a new episode. Again, effectively tease the content by creating some intrigue. Saying, "We interview Bob Smith" isn't nearly enough to get people to listen. Open a loop that can only be closed by listening to the episode. Hint at something in the episode. "This week, Bob Smith tells us how he turned his hobby into a million-dollar business." Finally, post your new episode on social media each time you release. Let your followers know there is new content available. THE CHALLENGE When coaches come to me for help, they are typically struggling to grow the audience and monetize their show. I first ask, "How are you promoting the show?" The typical response is posting on social media and emailing the list. I definitely want you to keep doing that. But as we saw earlier, that is only half of the equation. How are you getting in front of people who aren't aware of you? Now that you've defined your ideal client, you know what influencers have your ideal client in their audiences. So, let's get in front of them. Here are 9 ways to get new listeners. REFERRALS Direct referrals are probably the most powerful. When someone you know recommends you to someone else, the weight that recommendation carries is immense. A guy in my mastermind just referred two people to me. When I talked with the first, he said he has heard great things about me and my knowledge. You can't buy advertising that powerful. The trust is built in. When a referral comes your way, you are already 2 steps down the sales path with your prospective client. Who can refer you? MASTERMIND The second way to get clients is through masterminds. This doesn't necessarily need to be your mastermind. You can speak to other masterminds. These groups are typically looking for speakers. My last client came from speaking to a mastermind. I am in a high-end group of movers and shakers. One of the women in that group runs a mastermind of speakers. She invited me to speak to the group. That particular gathering had 6 people present. One of those members became a high-end client for me. Masterminds are filled with people who understand the value of investing in resources that will help them. That's the magic of tapping into masterminds. SUMMITS The next resource you can tap into is summits. Summits are like online conferences. These online events are typically multi-day affairs. Most are between 3 and 5 days long with 6 or 8 speakers a day. Because there are so many speakers, the title of your presentation really needs to stand out in order to get people to show up for you. There may not be many people present for your talk. But, you don't need many to land a client. You can also benefit in the long run if the host is recording the presentations for VIP attendees. I'll speak at any summit. I love presenting, so it isn't a big deal. It is convenient and easy when it is online. Many summit hosts know I can be available at the last minute, so they will call me if a speaker backs out. Even if the summit topic isn't perfect for me, showing up at the last minute gets me in the good graces of the host and gives me practice with my presentation. Never turn down the opportunity to get on a mic. EVENTS The fourth way to get in front of new clients is appearing at events. There are a variety of event options. You can present at networking events. Conferences are always looking for great speakers. Companies and organizations will often hold events that need speakers. I have landed a few clients speaking at networking events. But more importantly, I've connected with influencers during these events who can put me in front of my ideal clients. Find events where your influencers congregate. GROUPS The next idea you can use is groups. This includes both groups you're in and other groups like civic organizations. One of my recent clients is a member of a training and coaching group I am in. The trainer asks us a lot of questions. So naturally, other members of the group learn what I do and how I operate. We practice making our offer in the group. Other members get to know me and understand the value I deliver my clients. In nearly every group I am in, somebody will say, "Erik, we need to talk. I need exactly what you have." Be proud of what you offer, and help others every chance you can. Don't sell. Offer help and guidance. The clients will come. PODCASTS The sixth idea is most effective to grow your audience. Get on other podcasts. I know it sounds obvious. Podcast listeners listen to podcasts. If you want to attract podcast listeners, go where they are. Sure, it sounds logical. But, are you doing it? Find podcasts that attract your ideal client. It doesn't necessarily need to be in your niche. If you're a weight loss podcast, find an exercise podcast. If you're a podcast about launching businesses, find an accounting podcast. Same audience, different topic. ASSOCIATIONS Next, find association meetings. Many professionals belong to associations. Speakers, doctors, broadcasters, unions. The association has money to hire you as a speaker. The members have money to hire you as a coach. If you work closely with a profession or specific niche, find an association around that niche. Offer to speak at their meeting. Maybe you can sponsor their fundraiser. Partner with them around their favorite charity. Promote their membership drive. There are many ways associations can put you in front of their members. NEWSLETTERS The eighth way to get in front of new clients is by appearing in newsletters. Every niche has newletters. Offer to write for the newsletter. Advertise in it. Be an expert and resource for their articles. I once wrote a regular article for the New Media Expo blog and newsleter. This is how Dave Jackson over at the School of Podcasting discovered me and we became friends. That was 10 years ago. Appearing in a newsletter will give you credibility by association. People see you in print and you automatically have authority. Where can you be a guest contributor? FACEBOOK GROUPS Finally, use Facebook lives. Reach out to the owners of the groups you're in. See if they will host you. Add value when you are in there. Don't just sell. Marc Mawhinney runs the Coaching Jungle Facebook group. There are around 25,000 people in that group. Marc will often host Facebook lives with his JV partners in his Facebook group. How would you like to be in front of 25,000 people in your niche? That's the power of Facebook lives in these groups. You need to be good. And, you need to offer a ton of value for the owner to be willing to put you in the group. ATTRACT CLIENTS Make the most of your appearance with any of these ideas. Many people are surprised when I tell them to offer a lead magnet to the audience rather than inviting them to listen to the podcast. If people come to your podcast and listen without subscribing, and they never come back, they are gone forever. You have no way to contact them again. When you offer a free resource to get people on your mailing list, you can invite them to listen to your podcast each time you release a new episode. You can email them for every episode until they unsubscribe. Once they are on your list, nurture your list and convert them clients. WORKSHOP Have you seen my latest workshop? It is coming up soon. This is where we roll up our sleeves and build your strategy. You can see the full details at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/workshop. If you're ready to go to the next level, you gotta check this out. It felt that the Panthers survived the first period after going to the penalty box 4 times in period one and still ending the frame with a lead, even got two goals on special teams on the night(one of them short handed by Lundell). Panthers chased Matt Murray 1:41 into the 2nd period on Barkov's PPG, and Ilya Samsonov saved all 11 shots he faced. Segment number 2, the guys spend time talking about the officiating as it was a big factor in the Panthers not getting enough offensive zone time. The guys discuss the penalties that they raised their eyebrows to, and we have an insight from Dave Jackson of ESPN on some of the calls from Tuesday night and discuss what Paul Maurice had to say post game. What happens when a game is created with the idea of re-capturing nostalgia for an age gone by, but you don't share that nostalgia? Turns out, if the game is as good as Shovel Knight (Yacht Club Games), that doesn't matter! Shovel Knight is a masterpiece from front to back- it has tight gameplay, best-in-class tutorialization, fun boss fights, and a god-tier soundtrack. Of of 2021's surprise breakout favorites makes it's way onto the podcast! He was a wife and three young daughters.  If you're new, I was married to an alcoholic, and hearing about drunk drivers is somewhat triggering. Throw on top a parent leaving the earth way too soon, and now you really are hitting me on all levels.  But wait, there is more. It turns out there are people who are using AI (artificial intelligence) to scrape the internet for obituaries so they can "write" an article about the person and cram the website full of ads. One person even did it in a video (with the monetization turned on and the comments - naturally - turned off).  In the same way, you can get the air knocked out of you; I have lost some of my faith in humanity. I can't even explain my thoughts.  It's not often that Dave Jackson is speechless.  If you'd like to help out his wife and kids, it will make you feel better Here is the GO FUND ME page.

Memory and the Brain: How it Works and How it Doesn't Work

Memory is not as reliable as we like to think it is. And that's not a stroke thing. It's just the nature of memory. Of course a stroke can impact memory as well. It can hurt our short-term memory, like in Christine Lee's stroke ( http://Strokecast.com/Christine). It can impact whether or not we can "remember" vocabulary, like in the case of aphasia. We may find our memory stronger earlier in the day than later in the day. This week, I speak with the host of the Brain Science podcast and member of the Podcast Hall of Fame, Dr. Ginger Campbell about ow memory work in the non-damaged brain. We explore some of the misconceptions that govern memory , its accuracy, and even how it impacts the criminal justice system. If you don't see the audio player below, you can listen to the conversation at http://Strokecast.com/MSN/BrainScience   Click here for a machine-generated transcript Who is Dr. Ginger Campbell? Dr. Virginia “Ginger” Campbell is a physician, author, and science communicator. She is the author of “Are You Sure: The Unconscious Origins of Certainty”* and she is a member of the Podcast Hall of Fame (2022). Dr. Campbell began podcasting in 2006 when she launched two shows: Brain Science and Books and Ideas. Both feature interviews with scientists, but Books and Ideas includes more diverse guests including science fiction writers. In 2018 she launched Graying Rainbows, which took her interview skills to a more personal level. Brain Science is still going strong and is widely regarded as the best podcast about neuroscience. Dr. Campbell spent over 20 years as an emergency physician in rural Alabama. In 2014 she went back to the University of Alabama in Birmingham where she completed a Fellowship in Palliative Medicine. She now practices Palliative Medicine at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Birmingham, AL, where she enjoys both patient care and teaching residents, fellows, and medical students. Dr. Campbell enjoys sharing her passion for science and especially neuroscience. Her goal is to make these topics accessible to people from all backgrounds. Memory is not a Recording One theme that comes up frequently is that the brain is not a computer and memory is not a recording. The dynamic nature of memory means that our "mental records" of events cand and are supposed to change. Each time we recall an event, we rewrite it. Maybe we add new data or interpretations. Maybe we purge less relevant details. The whole evolutionary purpose of memory is to keep us alive so we can reproduce and propagate our genes. Of course that's the evolutionary purpose of every aspect of our biology. Our existential, theological, spiritual, philosophical, or metaphysical purpose is different, but that's a separate discussion. Memory is not intended to provide an accurate, societal record of all events. It's meant to help us survive. Criminal Justice Eyewitness testimony and stranger identification is the least reliable form of testimony in court. In addition to challenges like cross-race identification, even our most traumatic memories lack accuracy. Again, the memory is there to keep us alive, not to ensure the right person goes to jail. We often read about the flaws of eyewitness testimony. The fact is memory is often not accurate enough to convict someone beyond a reasonable doubt (the standard in the US). Fortunately, the proliferation of dash cams, cell, phone recordings, and police body cams provide an often more accurate supplement to memory. And the advances in DNA identification and analysis provide a further level of certainty. There are likely still hundreds or thousands of people in prison around the world solely because of someone's memory. Is everyone who claims to be innocent actually innocent? Of course not. Are some of them innocent? Surely. Any assessments and accusations, especially about strangers, need to be taken with a substantial grain of salt. Podcast Hall of Fame In Spring of 2022, Dr. Ginger Campbell was inducted into the Podcast Hall of Fame.  The honor recognizes her commitment as a science communicator/educator. Talking about science and making it accessible to everyday people and voters is essential to our future as a society. At one level, we have learned so much about how biology and climate work, it's astounding. At the same time we are still plagued by anti-vaxxers, flat earthers, and climate change deniers who deny science. They can win adherents due to lack of skill of many in the science community when it comes to communicating with the general public. In all fields, scientific and otherwise, the deeper the experts get, the more likely they are to be speaking a different language -- one of assumptions and vocabulary and lines of thought that are unique to the field.  What's often missing is an ability to translate that expert language from the field of experts to the general populace, who may have their own expertise in their own fields. That's why shows like the Brain Science podcast are so important. And it's why I hope I can make my own contribution to the space with this show. By the way, Ginger is not the only podcast hall of famer I've had the pleasure of interviewing. A few years back, I interviewed Dave Jackson from the School of Podcasting on my 2-Minute Talk Tips podcast. You can listen to that episode here: Hack of the Week The simplest way to improve your memory is to pay attention to things you want to remember. That means repeating people's names when you meet them, or repeating appointment information as you make the commitment. The more you repeat it, the more brain resources you commit to remembering something. When it's important to remember, tell your brain that it's important to remember and why. Give yourself the context you need. If you hear something out loud, say it out loud. Then handwrite it. Engage more parts of your brain and body to secure important pieces of data in your memory. A bonus hack to keep your brain sharp? Engage socially with people because the brain craves variety and novelty. And few things are as random and unpredictable as people. Powerful Words For Your Podcast- Don't Say This Say That

In a world where we are constantly bombarded with images and noise, it's easy to forget the power of words. But words are still the most powerful tool we have for communication. They can be used to connect with others, to share our stories, and to create change. Podcasting is one of the most intimate forms of communication. It's a way to use words to connect with others in a very personal way. When you hear someone's voice, it feels like they're speaking directly to you. And when you share your own story, you have the opportunity to really connect with your listeners. I was interviewed and the interviewer changed the question from "What is your favorite Books" to "What is one of your favorite books." It puts a whole different level of pressure on the guest. This got me to thinking are there any other words that we can substitute to have a larger impact on our audience.  Ready To Start Your Podcast You may think nobody would listen to you, but I'm here to tell you they will. I have proven strategies to help you identify exactly what your audience wants. You will sound professional, and won't have to spend a million dollars to sound great. See schoolofpodcasting.com/listener Mark Achieve More Success Quick by Changing From Whining to Winning Mark start a new podcast about the new Lord of the Rings show, and instead of explaining how the was costing money, and it took time, and even when the show wasn't putting out more episodes, he had to pay for hosting, etc he changed his strategy. Mark asked if they received any value, and if they did, would they mind giving any of it back and giving them one link (so it's one call to action).  In his first season, he received around $900. For this old podcast, he also received $900 but it took him between 9-0 years.  Don't Say This Say That Instead of asking "What is your favorite ____? " you can ask a quest, "What is ONE OF YOUR favorite ____? This still allows us to hear their favorites without having to make them pick their absolute favorite Instead of asking is someone interested in coming on your show, ask them if they are willing. When it comes to willing vs interested, willing sounds more open.  When the doctor asked "Are there any other concerns you'd like to address in this visit?" 53% of patients responded affirmatively. Yet when the doctor asked "Are there some other concerns you'd like to address in this visit?" a whopping 90% of patients responded affirmatively.    Why? Patients were primed by how each of the words is used elsewhere. Naming "some" concerns implies you have options. "Any" implies random guesswork (at best) or an exhaustive list (at worst.)  The word "some" evokes a positive response. (source)   Quick Keys to Communication Keep it simple. Is it unexpected? Be specific Say it in a way that makes your listener invokes emotions.
