Michiel Devlieger (1964) zat beneden aan tafel te werken toen ik aankwam aan zijn huis in Deurne. Hij is televisiemaker, werkt voor productiehuis Woestijnvis. Hij deed mee aan het improvisatieprogramma Onvoorziene omstandigheden van Mark Uytterhoeven, werd héél bekend met de rubriek Red Michiel in het programma Schalkse Ruiters van Tom Lenaerts en Bart De Pauw. Daarna werd hij de eerste presentator van De Mol, een programma dat hij mee bedacht. Hij presenteerde of werkte mee aan ondermeer De laatste Show, Napels Zien, Mannen op de Rand van een Zenuwinzinking, De Parelvissers, Van vlees en bloed en nog vele andere programma's.We gingen zitten in zijn werkkamer op de eerste verdieping, waar veel boeken in enkele boekenkasten staan. Hij veranderde nog snel zijn derde boek, vertelt over boeken als mindfucks, over zijn werk voor televisie, waarom hij alles begint te lezen van iemand die hij goed vindt. Mario van der Ende ontving dit keer in de studio voormalig proftennisser Michiel Schapers. Samen gingen ze in vogelvlucht door zijn carrière. De inmiddels tenniscoach was jarenlang de nummer één van Nederland in het enkelspel en bereikte daarin tijdens zijn carrière tweemaal de kwartfinale van de Australian Open en in zijn topjaar 1988 ook de kwartfinale van het olympisch tennistoernooi in Seoul. Daarnaast stond hij met regelmaat in de top 100 van de wereld en in 1988 zelfs in de top 50. The idea for Khentopia already existed for another story, but the inauguration of Trump 1 in 2017 made me think that we had entered a parallel world. I developed a new story with that in mind. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film? It took about seven years. To get the story itself right was a challenge. I knew the beginning and the end, but I struggled with the middle. How would you describe your film in two words!? Khentopia regained. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film? Because it took such a long time, the biggest challenge was to stay interested. It is also a lot of work, and some scenes are necessary but kind of tedious to do. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video? I was pleasantly surprised by the insightful comments, especially from the second woman. De Wet werk en zekerheid (Wwz) introduceerde op 1 juli 2015 belangrijke veranderingen in het ontslagrecht en arbeidscontracten.
