On this week of Nicks Nerd News, we are joined by guest hosts Dan and Shaan. You can expect less of a focus on the top stories, considering we recorded this episode two days after episode 366. The guys cover a few stories from the world of gaming and cinema, while also discussing the games they have been enjoying and things they are excited about. We cover topics such as AI Darth Vader joining the Fortnite universe, Red Dead Redemption possibly coming to the Switch 2, first impressions on Expedition 33: Clair Obscur, Oblivion Remastered Vs. Skyrim, Marvel Rivals Vs Overwatch, Wes Andersons upcoming film, news on the upcoming Miami Vice Movie and many more. We hope you enjoy the episode!
This Week: Apple’s ongoing battle with Fortnite isn’t over just yet, and Epic Games is catching heat from SAG-AFTRA over its new AI-powered Darth Vader. Overwatch developers are unionizing at Blizzard, and Hideo Kojima is already thinking beyond the grave when it comes to his next big game idea. Plus, we’ve got an update on the rumored Red Dead Redemption 2 release for the Switch 2, and yes, a Stellar Blade sequel might actually be happening. Maude Garrett joins me as my special guest this week!

In today's Daily Fix:Red Dead Redemption 2 could be getting a Nintendo Switch 2 port, according to sources close to Rockstar Games. The port would be the first for a Nintendo console, with the first Red Dead Redemption getting a Switch 1 port in 2023, 13 years after it first debuted on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The RDR2 Switch 2 port would also coincide with a current-gen PS5/Series X|S port. In other news, Fortnite's Star Wars crossover event just dropped an AI-powered Darth Vader that reacts to what you say to it. And of course, gamers have found a way to make Vader make some NSFW words (which was quickly patched out). And finally, Hideo Kojima doesn't want mortality to stop him from releasing games. He's setting up a plan to leave his studio, Kojima Productions, with some unfinished game ideas in the event of his passing.

God helg! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This week the guys realize they never mentioned not recording for two weeks over the Christmas and New Years holidays. Gym has a toilet apocolypse right before Christmas. Gym gets a body pillow and Foo sleeps with an L. Gym installs 2TB into his PS5 and breaks something. The Foo fam is playing Balder's Gate 3. Gym has been playing Zelda: Echose of Wisdom. Zander has a birthday and Foo bounces. A small dive into shortbread, maybe? Plus more!

Rob is a host and consultant at Professor Game as well as an expert, international speaker and advocate for the use of gamification and games-based solutions, especially in education and learning.
