Hello everyone, and welcome to the Final Fantasy VII RE-CAST! The FF7 RE-CAST is a podcast dedicated to the Final Fantasy VII Remake universe. It's been a few years since our last episode, which was way back in 2023, prior to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. We're back following the reveal of part 3 of the remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Revelation. The trailers for FF7 Revelation were just shown at Summer Game Fest 2026, and we're here to break it all down for you, as well as catch you all up on what we've been up to the past few years. Spoiler alert - Uchi still hasn't finished the original! Enjoy!
According to a former Square-Enix exec, the company is worried about how OLD the average Final Fantasy and JRPG fan is. Most Americans who bought Final Fantasy VII Rebirth were over 35. What they're not taking into consideration is that that audience has MONEY to spend. See also the Final Fantasy Magic: The Gathering sales. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is zo’n game.

In our first deep dive into Chapter 10 of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, we give first impressions on FF7R's Cosmo Canyon region -- the visuals, music, fiends -- and of course, the chocobo wrangling and gliding minigame. We also duke out whether Sephiroth makes any sense for casual Final Fantasy players, and Ernest and Jolie go head-to-head on the “Bonds of Trust” FF7R side quest.
Ryan and Crofton tie a ribbon on a few ongoing video games they completed including Astro Bot, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Metroid Prime 4 before Crofton laments the current state of world affairs and his inability to look away.
