Welcome to the 5 Point Church Planting Podcast where two church planters hope to make at least one good point. In each 30-minute episode, our goal is to discuss the ins and outs of church planting from a Reformed and Presbyterian perspective (particularly the PCA) as well as hear from some insightful voices concerning church multiplication. Our desire for this podcast is to be helpful, encouraging, stimulating and above all else glorifying to God. 5 Points is hosted by two guys from two very different parts of the country. They went to different seminaries. One roots for the Crimson Tide/Memphis Grizzlies and the other is intimately acquainted with the heartbreak of being a Minnesota professional sports fan. One is GenX and the other is a Millennial but they have one thing in common and that is a passion for church planting. John St. Martin is planting Resurrection Church PCA in Fargo, North Dakota. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, he is now a husband, father of 3 girls, with a background as a business owner, campus minister, and a variety of other pastoral roles. He is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato (B.S. management) and Covenant Theological Seminary (M.Div). Hunter Townsend Brewer is planting Trinity Church PCA in Collierville, Tennessee (a suburb of Memphis). He also planted and served as the senior minister of Madison Heights Church PCA in Madison, Mississippi (suburb of Jackson) for nine years. He helped start the Mid-South PCA Church Planting Network (AR, LA, MS, W. TN) and served as its first coordinator. He is a graduate of Samford University (B.S. public administration) and Reformed Theological Seminary (M.Div and D.Min).
