The Intuitive Customer - Improve Your Customer Experience To Gain Growth
How happy are you when you buy auto insurance? If your answer is anything other than thrilled, you're not alone. In fact, years ago, a UK insurance company tried to convince us otherwise with their tagline “Quote Me Happy.” Spoiler alert: Nobody was happy. This raises a fascinating question: What role does advertising play in the customer experience, and why is there such a massive disconnect between the ads we see and what we actually get? In this episode, Colin Shaw and Professor Ryan Hamilton dive deep into the Great Expectation Gap—and they've brought in a special guest: Ben Shaw, Chief Strategy Officer at MullenLowe (and, fun fact, Colin's son). It turns out that years of heated Sunday lunch debates on advertising vs. CX have led to this moment!

We discuss Dr. Ben Shaw's new book Trustworthy: Thirteen Arguments for New Testament Reliability. The Classical Theism Podcast aims to defend Catholic Christian ideas in conversation. With the help of various guests, I defend three pillars of the Catholic Christian worldview: (1) the God of classical theism exists, (2) Jesus is our Messiah and Lord, and (3) He founded the Catholic Church. We place a strong emphasis on the first pillar, defending classical theism, drawing upon the work of Thomistic philosopher Dr. Edward Feser and many others. Can we trust that the New Testament is reliable? As a Christian, Dr. Ben Shaw had no good reason to explain why he believed the NT was trustworthy. So, he dove in to study the textual, archaeological, extra-biblical, and internal testimony for himself. He recently published an EXCELLENT book laying out 13 reasons to trust the NT. We briefly discuss his story and then unpack 8 of his arguments. This is one you will enjoy and want to share with other Christians and skeptics. Listen to Ben Shaw preach from Genesis 3:14-15 over the curse of the serpent. Observing the reality of the battle we face against our ruthless enemy, Satan, but remembering Christ who is our conquering King!
Has the idea of biblical inerrancy gone out of style? In today's modern church we've seen far too many professing Christians and even pastors struggle with biblical illiteracy, some choosing to abandon the biblical worldview altogether. As hostility towards the Christian faith continues to grow and commitment to the Gospel continues to decline, how can true followers of Christ equip themselves to learn, live out, and defend the truth of Christianity? In this midweek podcast episode, Dan Hodges, Executive Director of CrossExamined, sits down with Dr. Ben Shaw, president of Core Apologetics, to talk about Ben's faith journey and how his love for Jesus, evangelism, (and hockey of all things!) led him to a career and ministry in New Testament scholarship, working alongside the world-renowned resurrection scholar, Gary Habermas. What is the mission of Core Apologetics and how has Gary Habermas' lifelong research impacted this much needed ministry? How do you live out a biblical worldview if you're in a career like medicine or law enforcement? All this and more will be discussed in this special follow-up conversation with Dr. Ben Shaw! Do we have good enough reasons to believe that the New Testament documents are really telling the truth? One of the most effective ways to establish that Christianity is actually true is to demonstrate that Jesus rose from the dead. But do the Gospel accounts contain enough evidence to support a literal, historical, and miraculous first century resurrection? During the recent Steadfast apologetics conference hosted by SES, Frank sat down with Dr. Ben Shaw of Liberty University, who is working alongside the great New Testament scholar, Dr. Gary Habermas, on four volumes of Gary's magnum opus. Ben holds a PhD in Theology and Apologetics, serves as the president of the brand-new ministry Core Apologetics, and is also the author of the upcoming book entitled 'Trustworthy: 13 Arguments for the Reliability of the New Testament', which will be released in 2024. In this week's podcast episode, Ben and Frank tackle questions like: How do scholars determine the dating of the Gospels? Is there better historical evidence for Jesus than for Alexander the Great? What has it been like working with Dr. Habermas on his magnum opus? What are some of the most embarrassing details recorded in the New Testament and how do they support its reliability? Should the Gospels be categorized as historical fiction? What are the minimal facts that even skeptics like Bart Ehrman accept about the New Testament? Early documents, eyewitnesses, and embarrassing testimonies are just a few pieces of evidence that show that the New Testament is a credible source for the historical Jesus. As you'll hear in the show, mounting evidence for the resurrection continues to strengthen the claims of the risen Jesus, even causing non-Christians to acknowledge the evidence as valid. There's no doubt you'll be encouraged by what you learn in this discussion! To view the entire VIDEO PODCAST be sure to join our CrossExamined private community. If Jesus was just a teacher who lived and died in first-century Palestine, Christianity would be a waste of time. But what if the miraculous were somehow true? What if this man really did rise from the dead, after being publicly executed on a Roman cross outside the walls of Jerusalem? In the final episode of our 'singles' series, John Dickson brings you the words of his friend Ben Shaw, who invites sceptical listeners to think about the implications of Christianity's most startling claim of all: that Jesus rose from the dead.
Most of us can agree that the world is a pretty messed up place. But what's the problem with humanity? What's wrong with the world? What's causing all this crime, suffering, destruction and chaos? John Dickson brings you the words of his dear friend Ben Shaw, who on this special episode challenges us to see that what's required to make meaningful change is a totally new heart, or, as Jesus taught, to be born again: to become a new person.
Many believe Christianity is all about following rules and not having any fun. However, this is a huge misunderstanding; Christianity is actually about living life to the fullest.John Dickson brings you part two of his friend Ben Shaw's work about reconsidering the Christian faith, pointing out that for years, millions of people have misheard the beautiful lyrics of Christianity.
Lots of people assume that Christianity is a nice story for kids or a niche hobby for weirdos.John Dickson brings you the words of his dear friend Ben Shaw, who invites sceptical readers to think again about the million-dollar question: what is the meaning of this thing we call life?

We have all heard about new tattoo regulations coming down the pipeline. It's no longer a matter of if but when these new laws will affect tattooer's day to day lives. With this in mind, it's important to adopt a mindset that views these upcoming changes as opportunities for improvement and potential breakthroughs rather than the more common fear based mindset we tend to default to. In an effort to facilitate that, we sat down with tattooer Ben Shaw who has kept his finger on the pulse of these new laws. Together, we'll break down what tattooers can expect in the coming months and what we can all do to have a greater impact on the lasting results. In this episode we sit down with Ben Shaw, a prominent figure in the tattoo industry, to discuss a new law that could potentially have devastating consequences for the tattooing community. The law in question has been causing alarm amongst tattoo artists and enthusiasts alike, as it threatens to fundamentally change the way tattooing is regulated and practiced. But it's not all doom and gloom! We also discuss practical steps that we can take to help prevent overreaching regulations like what happened in Europe. We examine the importance of staying informed, getting involved in local politics, and actively advocating for the tattooing industry. How You Can Help!APT Membership: https://safe-tattoos.com/membershipBody Art Regulations Support System: https://discord.gg/aASJDruaj5Follow Ben on:Instagram:https://instagram.com/benshawarchetype?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK-rGNjPEhFezK_4gHfKg9QWatch full episode: https://youtu.be/mf9jlM-YwWsShow Your SupportBuy Us A Coffee: http://buymeacoffee.com/tattooguardiansListen/Watch:Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/TattooGuardiansPodcast?sub_confirmation=1Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/podcast/id1559399749Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/2YQ7wqW9ltHVeVE2kF7e7BTattoo Guardians Coaching:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/543011129603891Follow Tattoo Guardians Podcast:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tattooguardianspodcast/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tattooguardianspodcast/Tik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@tattooguardianspodcastFollow Us On Instagram:Joshua Carlton: https://www.instagram.com/joshuacarltonofficial/Matt Clemmer: https://www.instagram.com/mattdclemmer/HIP: https://www.instagram.com/hip_81/Tattoo Business Mastery: https://www.instagram.com/tattoobusinessmastery/Listen on 20+ platforms:https://linktr.ee/tattooguardianspodcastSupport the show

The song 'Christmas Time' was written by John's mate Ben Shaw, with some help from John himself. We recorded Ben's beautiful guitar parts just 4 weeks before he died of cancer. Ben was on this podcast a couple of times in his last months, so we hope regular listeners think of him as their friend, too.He died a year ago today, June 17. And we're releasing the song in his memory – it was one of his last big wishes that we take this song, which he and John had performed many times over the years but had never recorded, and rework it with a full band and release it. That's what we've done. You'll hear the entire song at the end. In the meantime, we sat down with our long-time music producer Colin Benvenuto (and his guitar) and Ben's wife Karen, a backing vocalist in the song, and we chatted about … well, Ben … and how the song came together. If you want to see a little more, we've produced a video montage for the song over at undeceptions.com/christmastime.
