An unofficial podcast for the long-running British soap, Coronation Street.
Coronation Street podcast by Michael and Gemma
The Conversation Street podcast is an absolute gem for fans of Coronation Street. As a long-time viewer of the show, I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to Michael and Gemma discuss all things Corrie. They bring a fresh perspective to the episodes, providing witty and entertaining commentary that enhances my viewing experience.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the banter between Michael and Gemma. Their chemistry is evident, and their playful back-and-forth adds an extra layer of enjoyment to each episode. They are knowledgeable about the show's history and characters, often delving into character analysis and discussing recurring themes. Their interviews with cast members are also delightful, offering insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of Coronation Street.
Another great aspect is the sense of community that the podcast fosters. As an American viewer, it can be difficult to find others who watch Coronation Street. However, through this podcast, I feel like I am part of a larger group of fans who share my love for the show. The Facebook group associated with the podcast allows for further discussion and interaction with other listeners.
In terms of drawbacks, it can sometimes be challenging to follow along if you haven't watched all the episodes being discussed in a given week. While Michael and Gemma try their best to avoid spoilers, there may still be some plot points or developments that are mentioned without full context. However, this is a minor issue overall and doesn't detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the podcast.
In conclusion, The Conversation Street podcast is a must-listen for any fan of Coronation Street. Michael and Gemma's passion for the show shines through in every episode, making it feel like you're chatting about your favorite soap with good friends. A delightful blend of humor, analysis, and camaraderie, this podcast is a wonderful companion for any Corrie enthusiast.

On our latest podcast, we have a chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 12th and the 16th January (Episodes #11,773 - 11,776). It's been the theory on everyone's lips for a few months now, but this week, it was finally revealed that Debbie is indeed Carl's mother and not his sister, as we had previously believed. Will this be a secret she takes to her grave, or is it only a matter of time before it all comes out - and does it change how we think of her and Bill Webster having lied about Carl's parentage all these years? Not only that, but does it really mean she should be taking the rap for him when it comes to Billy's death (especially when we know that John Sugden and Theo are much more to blame than either Debbie or Carl!)? Also this week, Daniel gets a shock when he thinks that he's about to become a dad again, Jodie gets her feet well under the table at Number 8, and we say bye bye to Becky, who's sentenced to twelve years in prison - but there are still more than a few questions we want answers to with this story! Up next on the podcast it's The Kabin, where we get more than a little excited about the news that Sally Ann Matthews will be taking over a role in the Steps musical next week, starting in our home town of Southampton (tickets booked!) and we round off the podcast with more of your thoughts on Todd, Maggie and Corriedale in the feedback section. Street Talk - 00:21:45 The Kabin - 02:49:52 Feedback - 02:59:49

After making a biblical-scale exit in this month's explosive Corriedale crossover, Dan Brocklebank joins us for a chat to reflect on his eleven years playing the Street's resident reverend, Billy Mayhew. Dan talks about finding out that he'd be meeting his maker in the crossover, shares what it was like to film Billy's exit scenes, reflects on the impact of Paul's MND story and gives us a look at some of the souvenirs he's kept from his time on Corrie. Also available as a video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzWZPIXjj3M

To celebrate last week's Corriedale crossover, we teamed up with Dingle All The Way, a podcast dedicated to all things Emmerdale, to share our reactions to one of the biggest soap events of 2026. With neither side knowing a great deal about the other's serial drama of choice, how did we find watching characters we know and love rubbing shoulders with faces we only had minimal awareness of? Could we follow what was going on, and were we able to help each other untangle any moments that left us scratching our heads? We had a brilliant time chatting with Simon and Lizzie, swapping perspectives on Coronation Street and Emmerdale, and we hope you'll enjoy listening to this special podcast crossover as much as we enjoyed recording it.

On our latest episode of the podcast, we chat about all the action in Weatherfield (and beyond!) between the 5th and the 9th January 2026 (Episodes #11,767 - 11,772). It's the telly event we've been waiting for for a year now - an explosive crossover between Corrie and Emmeradale as two worlds collide and an almighty pile-up in the Pennines. We already gave our immediate reaction to Corriedale earlier this week, but what did we make of the episode leading up to it, and did the quality continue for the rest of the week as Corrie switched to a daily, half hour format? We've got the Platts' new baby to discuss, the prospect of Debbie being sent down for dangerous driving and of course, the aftermath of Theo's chilling actions inside the fiery minibus - what a week! After Street Talk, we head over to the Kabin, where we try our hardest to persuade ourselves that we don't REALLY need the latest piece of Rovers history to make its way onto ITV Reloved as well as previewing a few upcoming Corrie-adjacent events that fans might want to get tickets for. We round off the show with all your feedback on Corriedale. Street Talk - 00:11:48 The Kabin - 03:14:08 Feedback - 03:23:23

Earlier this evening, Coronation Street and Emmerdale fans across the UK were united in anticipation as the ultimate soap crossover finally exploded onto our screens. Two worlds collided in a spectacular stunt that saw Billy tragically meet his maker (and, we assume, enjoy a heavenly rave-up with Paul), while Carl's fate - and the survival of Shona's baby - remain agonisingly up in the air. There was absolutely no chance we were waiting until the weekend to unpack this one, so here are our immediate reactions: what we loved, what we might have liked to have seen but didn't, and just what on earth we think might happen next after one of the most talked about nights in soap for years.

On this episode of the podcast, we chat about what went on in Corrie between the 29th December and the 2nd January (Episodes #11,759 - 11,766). We're only days away from the big Corriedale crossover now, and this week's trip to Weatherfield saw some of the biggest stories of the year getting all their ducks in a row before whatever fate may befall them on Monday night. Abi's rumbled Carl's plan to do a midnight flit to Dusseldorf while Kev's discovered his involvement in Tyrone's accident, Billy's seen footage showing the full extent of Theo's abuse towards Todd, and the Swains are - finally - set to jet off to Spain - but what has Becky done to Carla? We had an awful lot to chat about all this in the podcast, and a lot to say about how much we adored Debbie's wedding too - what a start to 2026! Unfortunately, Gemma was feeling very under the weather during the recording, so as soon as Street Talk was over, we decided to call it a day there, but there's still plenty of episode before that for you to enjoy!

Another year has come to an end, which means the Conversation Street Awards are back to celebrate the very best that Corrie had to offer in 2025! We've counted all your votes, and in this video, we share who's been crowned the Top Lad and Lass, which baddie is the year's most dastardly Wrong 'Un which storyline has won the coveted That's Champion Award and more! Due to time constraints, we've not been able to record a 'full' awards show this year, so the audio in this is the same as our video podcast, which is available to watch at https://youtu.be/AOTdzfm4GAE

On our festive edition of the podcast, we have a good old chat about Christmas week in Weatherfield, covering the episodes of Corrie shown between the 22nd and the 26th December (Episodes #11,753 - 11,758). Christmas time is here, and you know what? It just wouldn't be the same without erratic broadcast schedules, cheesy opening music montages and a big old dollop of misery splatting down onto pretty much everyone unfortunate enough to live on Coronation Street. This year saw the showrunners putting most of their rotten eggs in the Driscolls' basket, with a family meal for the Street's newest residents turning pungent thanks to the mean-spirited machinations of manipulative Maggie. Meanwhile, Carla's having a pretty rubbish Christmas too after being kidnapped by Becky, who takes the opportunity to seduce Lisa into bed in her partner's absence - is it all over for Swarla? Also this week, Abi makes a shocking discovery about Carl and James, Sally gives Joanine and Shanice a Christmas Eve to remember and the Platts get a festive message from Gail. Unsurprisingly, there's not really been anything worth reporting on in terms of Corrie news this week, but we've still had plenty of feedback from listeners, so we round off the podcast with that. Street Talk - 00:12:00 Feedback - 03:13:45

To mark 15 years since the Corrie tram crash, we sat down for a chat with Becky Hindley, the actress behind the 50th anniversary week's first victim, Charlotte Hoyle. Charlotte recalls what it was like filming her famous demise at the hands of John Stape, the thrill of the live episode and being part of the Coronation Street cast during one of the show's most exciting periods. Also available as a video on YouTube at https://youtu.be/Qrf_PnQX0QA

On the latest episode of the podcast, we chat about all the drama in Weatherfield between the 15th and the 19th December (Episodes #11,746 - 11,751). It's starting to become a bit of a tradition that the Monday visit to the cobbles is something of a special episode, isn't it? Recently, we've had Debbie's girls' night out, Maggie's flashback, and this week we were treated to director Matt Hilton's 'Behind Closed Doors' ep, a captivating hour of telly where we got to see the full extent of Theo's abuse of Todd via the lenses of in-world cameras - and we were on the edge of our seats from start to finish! Elsewhere on the Street, Dee-Dee definitely got the memo about how to do a speedy, low-key exit - but it might have been nice to have given a bit more consideration to James, don't you think? Also this week, Cassie and Tracy continue to bicker, Sally struggles to parent a mardy teen, and Will and Megan are nearly caught in the act - as are Carl and James! Up next on the podcast, it's The Kabin, where we chat a bit about this week's Corriedale press event, then we round off the show by blasting through some of your fabulous feedback. Street Talk - 00:12:25 The Kabin - 02:17:01 Feedback - 02:38:43

We've nearly reached the end of another year, and that can only mean one thing - it's time once again for the Conversation Street Awards 2025! Voting is now open for our 14th annual awards, but before you have your say on who deserves to be crowned Top Lad, Top Lass, wrongest Wrong 'Un and much more, why not join us as we talk through all this year's nominations? On our latest podcast, we chat about Corrie's 65th anniversary week, the episodes shown between the 8th and the 12th December 2025 (Episodes #11,740 - 11,745) Tell you what - you go nearly 65 years with nary a snifter of a flashback on Coronation Street, and in 2025, two episodes revolving round them have turned up at once. Whilst Kit's earlier this year felt like more of a bigger production, though, this week's look into Maggie's past was far more low key - though the revelation at the end that she's been covering up her involvement in Ben's father's death for all these years has certainly had many viewers looking at her in a different light now! And speaking of non-linear storytelling, was it just us, or did Carla and Lisa's break up on Friday's episode smack of déjà vu? Also this week, Debbie and Ronnie bring their wedding forward to the New Year, and Megan and Will arouse Lauren's suspicions... Up next on the podcast, we take a look at the Corriedale broadcast schedule, and we round things off with more of your listener feedback. Street Talk - 00:11:19 The Kabin - 02:25:01 Feedback - 02:37:14

In the second of our special episodes marking Corrie's legendary tram crash disaster, we head behind the scenes to explore exactly how this unforgettable week came to life. From the first spark of the idea in the writing room, to the movie level special effects and the full-throttle promotion of the show's 50th anniversary, we leave no piece of rubble unturned, and also take a closer look at how the landmark live episode was pulled off. With insights from writer Jan McVerry and memories from cast members including Vicky Binns, Sally Dynevor and Becky Hindley, this deep dive serves up everything you ever wanted to know about making one of Coronation Street's biggest and boldest weeks ever.

On this weekend's episode of the podcast, we chat about the goings on in Corrie between the 1st and the 5th December (Episodes #11,735 - 11,739). Well what a joyous trip to Weatherfield that was on Monday! Debbie has been the shining star of Coronation Street this year, and between her empowering speech, her boozed up revelries with her mates and her antics in the Fresco trolley, that really was among her best moments. Meanwhile, things certainly aren't looking quite so colourful in the Corner Shop flat, but does Todd's setting up of surveillance cameras hint that he's a bit more aware of what he's going through than we might have previously believed? Also this week, Megan gets a job at Weathy High, Becky comes close to permanently silencing Costello and Dee-Dee announces she's becoming the latest in a long line of Corrie characters this year to up sticks and emigrate - but how will James take the news? Up next on the podcast, it's the Kabin, where we take a look at the Corrie broadcasting schedule over the festive period. We've then got a bumper feedback section full of listeners' thoughts about the latest Corrie developments, and we round off the show with a Kabin Extra, where we pull apart this week's Corriedale teaser trailer - did it do enough to get us hyped? We have mixed feelings! Street Talk - 00:14:39 The Kabin - 03:00:28 Feedback - 03:10:25 Kabin Extra - 04:00:41

Fifteen years ago this month, Coronation Street reinvented what a soap event week could be, sending a speeding tram hurtling off the viaduct and straight into the Corner Shop, its tail end crashing down on The Kabin. We honestly don't know how they could have gone bigger to celebrate the show's 50th anniversary, and even now, that spectacular week still stands as one of Corrie's greatest achievements. And yet, despite all that, we'd never rewatched those episodes… until now. So, to mark a decade and a half since John clobbered Charlotte with a hammer, since Sally left Molly beneath the rubble, and since Rita was bombarded with a barrage of bonbons, we've finally revisited the tram crash week in all its explosive glory. In this episode of the podcast, we talk through our reactions. Did it live up to our memories? Which moments had slipped our minds altogether? And is it still a must-watch for newer cobbles converts? We dig into all this and more in a packed, high-voltage discussion!

On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 24th and the 28th November (Episodes #11,729 - 11,734). This week, every Swarla fan's worst nightmare comes true as Carla finally walks out on Lisa, her patience with Becky's constant interference pushed beyond breaking point. Lisa's habit of siding with her undead wife certainly isn't a great look - so does she deserve some serious grovelling time in the weeks ahead, or is any of her behaviour even slightly justified? There's more relationship turmoil for Todd and Theo too, as things take a violent turn and a shaken Todd ends up in A&E - still showing no sign of having the strength to walk away from his abusive partner… Also this week, Carl and Ryan clash over who's second in command at the hotel, Chesney catches Fiz sneaking off for some much-needed R&R, and Asha begins to piece her life back together. For this week's Kabin segment, we've tracked down all the places you can see past Corrie cast member in panto this Christmas, and we finish off the show with a spot of feedback. Street Talk - 00:23:44 The Kabin - 02:51:44 Listener Feedback - 03:03:04

On our latest episode of the podcast, we chat about what went on in Corrie between the 17th and the 21st November (Episodes #11,717 - 11,722). We all saw the fall out with George coming after Theo unplugged poor Todd's phone last week, but for many viewers, it didn't make those scenes at the end of Monday's episode any less heartbreaking. And as for Theo forcing Todd to play the welcoming host to Pete of all people on Wednesday... We've got a lot to say about this story this week for sure! Meanwhile, Carl makes it clear that he sees no future for him and Abi if Alfie is part of the equation - will it soon be time to say Auf Wiedersehen to Kev's brother, and will Abi learn about his liaisons with James before he goes? Also this week, Carla snaps when she thinks that Becky's had her arrested, Sally reckons she's got some dirt on Tricia and Roy reveals he's writing to people in prison - but do we already know the identity of any of his pen pals? Up next on the podcast it's The Kabin, and we take a look at the characters that Corrie and Emmerdale fans can pick from to meet up in the crossover. We round off the show with your thoughts on the David and Shona special episode in feedback. Street Talk - 00:16:06 The Kabin - 02:13:51 Feedback - 02:26:14

On this week's podcast, we have a natter about the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 10th and the 14th November (Episodes #11,711 - 11,716). This week, we were treated to another Kate Brooks patented 'event episode' of Corrie, with all the funny camera effects and timey-wimey shenanigans that they so often entail. This time, it's David and Shona who were under the spotlight, with a half-episode that told the story of their tragic trip to the hospital told directly through the characters' eyes - internal commentary and all. We've seen mixed opinions on this since it aired, and had plenty to say about the format ourselves! Another focus this week was Will's story - when we said that we wanted the Rovers at the heart of Corrie, was a teenage grooming story the sort of thing we were asking for? Not at all, but are we enjoying it nonetheless? Also this week, Fizz bubbles over at work after struggling to run the household with minimal support from wheelchair-bound Tyrone, Kevin nearly loses his car in a game of poker and Joni returns to the Metcalf household - though Tim seems far more occupied with what's going on on Tricia's Insta... Not a whole lot in the way of news to discuss this week - although we do make the time to offer a somewhat cynical look at this week's Corriedale viewer vote - and we round off the show with more of your listener feedback.

We're digging deep for our character profile this week - and who better to exhume than George Shuttleworth? Can you believe it's been five years since Weatherfield's most cheerful undertaker first rolled up in his hearse? From mortuary mix-ups to romantic moments with Eileen, George has quietly buried the competition to become one of Corrie's most loved new additions of the 2020s. In this podcast, we lay out his highlights, mourn his mishaps, and celebrate five lively years in the funeral trade.

On this podcast, we talk about all things Corrie that took place between the 3rd and the 7th November (Episodes #11,705 - 11,710). With the grown-up Driscolls' feet already very much under the (incredibly large) Rovers backroom table, this week's trip to Weatherfield saw the arrival of the final member of the clan: runaway son Will, whose disappearance at the start of the week was very much the talk of the pub - but did Corrie do enough to keep viewers who'd never even met the kid before engaged? Meanwhile, Becky continues to refuse to take no for an answer, stepping up her game in her attempts to lure Becky and Lisa back to Spain with her, plus a shady conversation with Costello gives sheds a bit more light on the circumstances surrounding Tia Wardley's demise. Also this week, the identity of Hope's troll is revealed, Carl continues to gaslight Debbie, and Cassie and Tracy are still at each other's throats - is this still entertaining, or is it getting a bit tired by this point? After Street Talk, the Kabin segment sees us bumbling through our initial reactions to the news that ITV is potentially going to be bought out by Sky - a topic that we admittedly don't have the best understanding of, but we do our best to explain the situation and correct a few misconceptions! That's followed by the feedback segment, where we read more of your initial views of the street's latest family. Street Talk - 00:18:09 The Kabin - 02:08:42 Feedback - 02:30:35

This week, we're joined by Jayne Tunnicliffe, who played chavvy chippy worker Yana Lumb on Corrie back in the mid 2000s. Jayne opens up about her long and varied career in showbiz, and how it led to her securing the part of Cilla's tarty mate for a one-off appearance that went on to be a recurring role for a couple of years. Whether deep frying a turkey or sitting in a bath of mushy peas, Yana was always doing something to make viewers laugh, and here, Jayne recalls many of her happy memories working on the show.

On this week's episode of the podcast, we chat about all drama on the cobbles between the 27th and the 31st October (Episodes #11,699 - 11,704) Well, what a week that was! The changing of the guard at the Rovers is always a momentous occasion, but this one truly feels like the start of a fresh era for the show. Eva Price is back - and she's brought her new family with her! You won't be surprised to hear that we've got a lot to say about the new arrivals, and on the whole, we're feeling extremely positive. Elsewhere on the Street, Carla returns from Ireland with the knives out for Becky – but can she get her to back off Lisa before it's too late? Also this week, Hope thinks she's uncovered the identity of her troll, Carl takes the brunt of Kev's anger, and Cassie lands herself a new job. Up next on the podcast it's The Kabin, and Jane Danson's hitting back at reports that she's been fired from Corrie. We round things off with some of your feedback - and early reactions to the Driscolls' debut! Street Talk - 00:17:22 The Kabin - 03:07:48 Feedback - 03:15:31

On the Corrie press day a couple of weeks ago, we had a few short chats with four of the cast, including two members of the new Driscoll family! First up, Aaron McCusker tells us what it's like to play new Rovers landlord Ben; then, Lauren Bolton actress Cait Fitton reveals the secrets behind crying on cue. After that, Channique Sterling-Brown reflects on her three years playing Dee-Dee Bailey, and we round things off with a quick natter with Raph Akuwudike, who plays 2025's man of mystery, Ollie!

On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 20th and the 24th October (Episodes #11,699 - 11,704). Ooh, that Theo - he's a nasty piece of work, isn't he? We've got a lot to discuss about his story with Todd this week, as the unfortunate undertaker finds himself yet again cowering in the kitchen corner, his boyfriend using him as some kind of emotional punchbag. Just how long is it going to be until someone realises what's going on and rescues Todd from the hell he's now living? Also this week, in scenes that had the hardcore Swarla fans seething, Becky presses on with her plan to charm herself back into Lisa's affections - and Lisa shows surprisingly little resistance! Get yourself back to Weatherfield pronto, Carla! Elsewhere, Abi is tempted to steal a car help out her and Carl's financial woes, the Winter-Alahan family self-destructs in the wake of Asha's attempt to take her own life, and things get passionate between Christina and George - despite his failure to get a Stiffy! In The Kabin segment, we chat about the latest additions to William Roache and Barbara Knox's mantlepieces as they both receive lifetime achievement awards, and we we finish off the podcast with a crop of lovely listener feedback. Street Talk - 00:21:44 The Kabin - 02:59:48 Feedback - 03:12:17

It's time once again to rummage around in our virtual listener mailbag and pull out a couple of cracking questions for a good old natter. First up: how would we breathe new life into Victoria Street? It's been seven years since the extended set burst onto our screens with great fanfare, and while stalwarts like Speed Daal have gone from strength to strength, others - Trim Up North, we're looking at you - have disappeared without a trace. So, if we were in the producer's chair (with unlimited budget and space, of course!), how would we zhush it all up and make Victoria Street the place to be again. Then, just in time for spooky season, another listener wants to know which Corrie characters we'd choose to help us survive a horror movie scenario. Whether it's ghosts, zombies or vampires on the loose, no monster will stand a chance against the dream teams we assemble - especially with resident horror aficionado Gemma leading the recruitment drive!

In our latest podcast, we chat about what went on in Corrie between the 13th and the 17th October (Episodes #11,693 - 11,698). In what turned out to be a rather mixed week on the cobbles, some storylines failed to hit the mark while others had us completely gripped – most notably the escalating game of cat and mouse between Theo and Todd. We were stunned when Theo brazenly admitted to Todd that he'd been unfaithful, blaming Todd's supposed closeness with Billy, and we loved seeing Todd finally stand up for himself – especially with his not-so-subtle flaunting of his ex during the Rovers' Mr and Mrs contest. However, as we all know, this abusive relationship is far from its conclusion... Elsewhere on the Street, we saw poor Tyrone struggling to adjust to life in a wheelchair amidst constant bickering from his family, while Asha's return from hospital showed she is clearly still suffering too. Meanwhile, Becky wasted no time in making herself at home at Number 6 while Carla was away, Carl pushed Abi to take Kevin to the cleaners in their divorce, and Hope found herself the target of some malicious text messages – but who could be behind them?

Last week, we were lucky enough to be invited to the press day at Coronation Street, where we got a sneak preview of an upcoming episode, sat in on an interview with producer Kate Brooks and had an access all areas tour of the set, where we investigated every nook and cranny of the main outdoor area (including having a look at what was behind closed doors!) and the main studios themselves, where we got a close up look at sets including the Platt house, the police station and the Rovers Return. In this episode of the podcast, we chat about the experience (don't worry - no big spoilers about upcoming scenes!) and on the YouTube version, share tonnes of photos and footage of the day. https://youtu.be/eJByctS5zjU

On this episode, we chat about what went on in Corrie between the 6th and the 10th October (Episodes #11,687 - 11,692). A brand new story kicked off this week with Tim at the centre, as he bumped into a familiar face from the past. But when Brian discovers just how close the pair once were, and how young Tim was at the time, he's left questioning some uncomfortable truths about their relationship. Elsewhere, Ronnie's birthday celebrations take a dramatic turn when the truth about Abi and Carl's affair comes out, leaving the Webster family in tatters. Also this week, Theo continues his manipulation of Todd Asha's found unconscious with an empty bottle of pills, and George and Christina go out on their first date. Not a lot of news this week (plus we're absolutely knackered when recording after a busy day behind the scenes at Corrie - more on that very soon!) so we give The Kabin a swerve and round the show off with a bit of feedback.

For this week's bonus podcast, we're bidding a fond farewell to one of our all-time favourite Corrie characters with a two-and-a-half-hour Jenny-fest! As we'd already wrapped up her story quite neatly in the character profile episode we released at the start of 2025, we decided to follow the same format we used for last year's Gail departure and put together an A–Z of all things Jenny. We chat about our favourite moments, reminisce over stories Sally Ann Matthews has shared with us over the years, and revisit Jenny's many romantic adventures - the highs, the lows, and the endlessly memeable moments that make her a character we'll never forget.

On our 700th episode of the podcast, we share our thoughts on what went on in Corrie between the 29th September and the 3rd October (Episodes #11,681 - 11,686). She's been a firm favourite of the podcast since her 2014 return, but this week we bid a fond farewell to Jenny, who jetted off from Weatherfield to start a new life in Tenerife. We'd known her exit was coming for a while - but was it a send-off worthy of a character of Jenny's calibre, or did it leave us wanting more? Also this week, Todd, Theo and co hit Manchester's Gay Village in some brilliantly directed scenes that exposed a secret from Theo's past - and revealed just how dark he can be. Meanwhile, Debbie discovers the truth about her brother's affair, Bethany makes her return to Weatherfield after yet another career disaster, and Asha considers quitting her paramedic course. Up next on the podcast it's The Kabin, where we celebrate Corrie's recent success at the Inside Soap Awards, and we round off the podcast with more of your fabulous feedback. Street Talk - 00:13:55 The Kabin - 02:47:19 Feedback - 03:13:09

After ten years back on the cobbles, our Jenny bade a fond farewell to Weatherfield today, and in the week of our 700th episode of the podcast, we have an exclusive chat with actress Sally Ann Matthews about her decision to leave and what it was like to film those final moments. Sally Ann shares some behind the scenes secrets about some material that was filmed but never made it to air, reminisces about her favourite moments from the past decade and gives man idea about where we might be seeing her on our screens next... Also available as a video at https://youtu.be/NxO7zV14ZyU

On our latest podcast, we have a natter about the episodes of Coronation Street shown in the UK between the 19th and the 26th September 2025 (Episodes #11,673 - 11,680). It's a bumper Street Talk this week as we dive into four hours of Corrie drama! Things kick off with the Carl and Abi affair, which steps up a gear when Kevin finds himself unceremoniously dumped by his cheating wife. Could the big reveal – and maybe even the end of this saga (please?!) – finally be on the horizon? Elsewhere, in a twist nobody saw coming, Noah suddenly drops dead – but were there suspicious circumstances, and might this tragedy push Theo back into Danielle's arms? Meanwhile, Asha remembers she had a big episode last month that perhaps deserves a follow-up, Becky makes a play to needle her way back into Betsy's life, and Ollie causes intrigue by showing an unexpected interest in Toyah on Friday. Now what on earth could that be about? Up next on the show it's The Kabin, where we take a look at the Corrie nominations in both the Inside Soap and TV Times shortlists, and we round off the podcast with more listener feedback. Street Talk - 00:13:21 The Kabin - 02:40:23 Feedback - 02:54:38

Last week, we had the chance to see not one, but two performances of An Audience With Coronation Street, the Corrie stage show hosted by Soap Queen Sharon Marshall. In this episode of the podcast, we share our thoughts on the show, chat about meeting some of the cast and even take you on a trip to a few of the filming locations we visited whilst up in Manchester - including a sneak preview of the Street at Christmas! Also available as a video with loads of footage and photos here: https://youtu.be/JWZV8GwCYm8

We're going to be away and jolly busy in Manchester this weekend for the Audience with Coronation Street show at the Lowry, so this week's podcast is coming at you early, covering the episodes that were shown on the 14th and the 16th September (Episodes #11,669 - 11,672). After the shocking revelation that Becky Swain was in fact alive last week, this week's Corrie had a lot to live up to. Would enough questions about the past four years be suitably answered? What would Lisa say to Costello? Would Lisa really be able to see her estranged wife from reconnecting with her daughter! It turned out that the pair of us had quite opposing views about how well Corrie's handled this, and the discussion takes up the lion's share of Street Talk. Elsewhere on the cobbles, Tyrone's told it may be years until he's up on his feet again (so.. skipping around in the snow this Christmas?) Theo and Todd move into their new place, and the twists keep on coming as it's revealed just who was driving the car at breakneck speed through the precinct last Monday... Up next on the podcast, we're joined by Corrie fan Carianne, who attended the Fan Fusion convention last weekend at which Vicky Myers appeared as a special guest. We get the low down of what happened at the event, what Vicky was like, and chat together about the prospect of other Corrie related conventions in the future. As always, we round off the podcast with more of your fabulous feedback. Street Talk - 00:11:43 Fan Fusion Chat - 01:50:19 Feedback - 02:03:39

Last week's Coronation Street sent shockwaves through the Corrie community with the surprise return from the dead of Becky Swain. The director behind those unforgettable episodes, Jordan Hogg, joined us for a chat this week about bringing those scenes - plus a handful of other classic Corrie moments from the past decade - to life. Whether you're a fan of Swarla, were on the edge of your seat during Mason's death or have a fondness for the dark era of Pat Phelan, there's plenty for you here to enjoy. On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 8th and the 12th September 2025 (Episodes #11,665 - 11,668). There may have only been two trips to Weatherfield this week, but Monday's bombshell was enough to keep us talking for just as long as a regular podcast! Becky Swain is alive! A lot of us had seen it coming, but it was certainly a shock that it happened quite so soon. You may have already heard our initial reactions on the podcast we released earlier this week, so how did we feel about Becky's explanation for where she'd been all this time? Did it hold water, and is she really telling the whole truth? Away from all the Swarla drama, we also had another couple of shockers in the form of Tyrone being hit by a car and Shona revealing she had a bun in the oven. THIS is how you keep twists under wraps until broadcast, Corrie - keep it up! After the Street Talk segment, we head over to The Kabin, where we talk about Corrie at the NTAs and Vicky Myers having to pull out of the upcoming Audience With in Glasgow, and we round things off with some of your immediate Becky bombshell reactions in the feedback section. Street Talk - 00:12:23 The Kabin - 02:41:11 Feedback - 03:01:52

Well that was a bit of a twist on Monday's episode, wasn't it? We've speculated about it for a while, but as an end of show cliffhanger, it was revealed to us that Lisa's supposedly dead wife is actually alive and well! We couldn't wait until Friday to talk about our reaction to this bombshell, so in this special bonus episode, we talk about our initial thoughts on the reveal, ponder what on earth Becky could have been up to, and, in the second half of the podcast, take a look at the press release that gives us a few teasers about what we might find out about Becky's motives for returning to Weatherfield...

Recently, we had the pleasure of chatting with Corrie actor Adam Hussain about his five years playing Aadi Alahan. Adam talks about his decision to leave the show and reflects on some of his characters most memorable moments, including taking a bullet for Kelly Neelan, being involved in an epic car crash and his affair with Courtney Vance! On this week's podcast, we share our thoughts on what went on in Corrie between the 1st and the 5th September (Episodes #11,659 - 11,664). All in all, a pretty good set of episodes for Corrie this week, with some lovely, sweet scenes in the Swarla story as we finally get that proposal that we've been building up to for weeks. And so close to getting some solid answers to the Becky Swain mystery too - although not only are we leaning a lot more to the side of 'she's still alive' now, we've got a feeling that Roy might have even bumped into her in the hospital... Also this week, Theo takes out his anger on Todd after a tough mediation session with Danielle and Noah - but is there really any excusing his behaviour? Elsewhere on the cobbles, Debbie attempts a coup on the dementia choir, Carl enlists Brody and Dylan for a spot of car thievery and Christina opens up to George about how much she's struggling since Dom's death - but is it all just an act? In the Kabin segment of the podcast, we weigh in on the rumours that the Corrie cast have been told not to stop for fans outside the gates at Media City, and we finish things off with more of your feedback. Street Talk - 00:07:02 The Kabin - 02:46:47 Feedback - 03:04:58

This week's bonus podcast is all about Aadi Alahan. Introduced to the show as a newborn baby in 2006, Aadi's now officially flown the nest and headed off to start a new life in India (and yes, he's somehow 20 now - some of these soap character really do grow up so fast!). From his days as a budding golf prodigy to dodgy dates, steamy affairs, and being wrongly accused of spiking Lauren, Aadi's storylines have kept us thoroughly entertained over the years. But what were our most memorable Aadi moments? And what was it about his character that made him such a fan favourite? Join us as we look back on the highs, lows, and hidden gems of Aadi Alahan's time on the Street in our latest character profile!

On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown in the UK between the 25th and the 29th August (Episodes #11,653 - 11,658). Sorry, we couldn't help it - this episode does get somewhat ranty towards the beginning thanks to Corrie's insane decision to publish spoilers about the massive twist in Friday's episode first thing in the morning, thus ruining the surprise for anyone foolish enough to scroll social media rather whilst munching on their Weetabix rather than switching straight to ITVX. And it was a great twist too! Definitely something that we're interested in seeing the fallout from at Number 13... Anyway, that wasn't even the main focus of the week - that particular spotlight, of course, falls on Asha, who had a bit of a mare of a day to flash back to on Monday, and on the same week that we're saying goodbye to the lovely Aadi, too! Also this week, Theo ramps up his control of Todd when he bans him from seeing Billy, whilst over at the Rovers - praise be! - Christina's back in town, and Jenny's feeling more than a little suspicious of her motives... Up next on the podcast it's The Kabin, and we chat a bit about Adam Hussain's latest short film, Spice For Life, which made its way onto YouTube this week, and we round off the show with some feedback, including one listener's personal ranking of all the Rovers owners over the years - now that's a discussion we can really get behind! We've walked the Corrie cobbles more times than we can count, so we thought - why not give the Dales a try? Last weekend, we headed up to Yorkshire for the Emmerdale Village Tour, despite knowing next to nothing about ITV's second soap. And, of course, it wouldn't be a Conversation Street trip up north without a little detour! Alongside the official tour, we also popped over to Esholt, the village that was home to Emmerdale between 1976 and 1997. But the big question is: is the Emmerdale tour worth taking if you don't know your Dingles from your Sugdens? Tune in to find out! Also available as a vide version on YouTube, with loads of photos and footage from the day! https://youtu.be/wPbDzarca7Y

On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 18th - 22nd August (Episodes #11,647 - 11,652). There was definitely something in the Weatherfield water this week as everyone seemed to be more than a little bit randy! From Steve and Cassie (and an unwilling third party teddy bear) cavorting in the living room of Number 9 to Sarah-Louise using her best seduction techniques on Underworld's latest client, the cobbles were practically steaming - and as for Abi and Carl's saucy antics.. well we can definitely say we were pleased to see Tracy pouring a bucket of cold water over that on Friday! Also this week, we had Aadi deciding that a trip to India maybe isn't such a bad idea after all, romance between Dee-Dee and Olly, and an some intriguing comments from Costello that had us theorising all sorts about the circumstances surrounding Becky's death... After the Street Talk segment of the podcast, we were off to The Kabin, where we take a look at which cast members have been nominated for an NTA this year, and we finish things off with some lovely listener feedback. Street Talk - 00:10:57 The Kabin - 02:05:24 Feedback - 02:15:25

For this week's bonus podcast, we're dipping back into the Listener Questions vault to tackle two more of your thought-provoking ponderings. First up, we muse on the idea of naming a child after a Corrie character – if we absolutely had to, who would we choose from the cobbles? (And which names would be on our definite veto list?) After that, we take on a question about the characters we're not so fond of, imagining the storylines we'd give them that might just raise them in our estimations. Got your own answers to these questions? We'd love to hear them – write in and let us know!

On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 11th and the 15th August (Episodes #11,641 - 11,646). We were a bit tight for time when we were recording this as we had a wedding to get to, so this episode is Street Talk only! This week saw Abi and Carl come dangerously close to being exposed when Hope inadvertently snapped a photo of them together in the precinct. Sadly for us, one impromptu phone dunking later and their secret's still safe… Can this affair just end or be rumbled soon, please, Corrie? Meanwhile, Gary dishes out a dose of street justice to Noah after hearing how he treated Theo in the past – but with Danielle pointing the finger at her husband for the attack, it looks like his chances of seeing his kids again are slipping away. Also this week, Steve makes himself less than welcome when he moves into Number 9, things go from bad to worse for Aadi, and George suffers an unsuccessful blind date – though could romance be waiting just a corner shop away?

On this week's bonus podcast, we shine the spotlight on the switchboard queen herself, Eileen Grimshaw. The last time we profiled her was way back in 2013, so it's high time we caught up - and even focusing just on the years since then still gave us a couple of hours' worth of discussion! From her disastrous track record with men to the highs and lows of family life at Number 11, we leave no stone unturned in this in-depth look at Eileen's character and her storylines over the past decade and a half.

On our latest podcast, we chat about the episode of Coronation Street shown between the 4th and the 8th August (Episodes #11,635 - 11,640). This week's trip to the cobbles saw Dev booted and turquoise-suited for his wedding to Bernie – and naturally, it wouldn't be a Weatherfield wedding without a few dramatic curveballs thrown in, would it? Vomiting quads! A break-in at Number 7! An asthma attack at the altar! And one very big revelation from Aadi that puts a serious dampener on Dev's big day... Elsewhere, Todd uncovers some rather shocking skeletons in Theo's closet, leaving us not wondering 'if' he'll end up on the receiving end of a knuckle sandwich from his new fella – but 'when'. Meanwhile, Abi and Carl continue their hotel hook-ups, Jenny turns her attention to a rather unexpected new man, and Carla and Lisa settle into life at Number 6. Up next on the podcast, it's the Kabin, with some good news for overseas viewers wanting to catch Corrie early, then after another chunk of listener feedback, we share our thoughts on some very spoilery casting news that broke this week - and we're pretty flippin' excited! We're back from our holidays in France, all caught up on Corrie, and it's finally time for Episode #691 of the podcast, where we chat about what went on between the 25th July and the 1st August (Episodes #11,627 - 11,634) It's been a long time coming, but this week finally saw Abi and Carl giving into their desires and dropping their drawers for a seven-minute bunk up in the garage office. Whilst Abi rated the union 'cracking' and Carl certainly seemed pleased with himself, we can't say we're too pleased about the development ourselves - but is there really ANYONE in this storyline who's side we'd say we were on? Meanwhile, Theo's dark side emerges once more as he exerts his control over Todd. Get out while you can, man - Theo's REALLY not worth it! Also this week, Dee-Dee and James come to an agreement about Laila's parenting that's DEFINITELY not going to run into any issues, Sam gets all environment conscious and the mystery surrounding Becky Swain's death deepens... and we admit it - we're very much intrigued! Up next on the podcast, it's time for a trip to The Kabin, where we take a look at some of the pictures of Jack P Shepherd's wedding as well as a new piece of Corrie merch that's been produced for the 65th anniversary. Then, after a bumper feedback section, we talk about some pretty big and definitely spoilery cast news that broke a few days ago - you just know this is one we can't stay quiet about! Street Talk - 00:16:44 The Kabin - 03:02:21 Feedback - 03:25:50 Kabin Extra - 03:49:58

We're not going to be able to record at all this weekend, so Episode #690 of the podcast is coming out early, focusing on what went on in Weatherfield on the 21st and the 23rd July (Episodes #11,623 - 11,626). It was a tough week for Theo this week when Noah reared his head again with a Bible in one hand and a leaflet to his latest conversion session in the other. Can Theo let go of his past and stay true to himself? Also this week, Ryan's left reeling when Debbie gives him an unexpected kiss - a friendly gesture from a grateful boss, a side effect of her dementia.. or something much murkier? Meanwhile, Aadi scrambles to keep Dev from uncovering the truth about the staged robbery, Lou braces herself for a likely prison sentence, and Sam mysteriously vanishes during Audrey's birthday party. Could Lily's antics last week be to blame? Not much in the way of Corrie news this week so we give The Kabin a swerve, and finish off with a couple of pieces of listener feedback. Street Talk - 00:11:24 Feedback - 01:50:39

This week's bonus podcast features a chat with Coronation Street legend Bill Ward, best known for playing bad boy builder Charlie Stubbs in the early 2000s – before being stubbed out by a vengeful Tracy Barlow. Bill shares his memories of portraying Charlie, exploring the character's deep need for control and his complex relationships on the Street. He reflects on working with co-stars including Kate Ford, Sally Lindsay and Ryan Thomas, and also opens up about his passion for theatre and photography. It's an in-depth interview with a thoughtful, passionate actor – one not to miss! Also available as a video here: https://youtu.be/WI9VihMK7X4
