Stewardship For The Master Mathew 25:14-30 NKJV 14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground and hid his lord's money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.' 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.' 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' 24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.' 26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him and give it to him who has ten talents. 29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. Stewardship 1) Everything We Have Comes From God James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no shadow of turning.” 1 Chron. 29:12 Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign overall, In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.” Ps. 24:1 “The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.” 2) God Doesn't Give Us All The Same Thing But He Gives Us All Something 3) Godly Stewardship Is Active 1 Pet. 4:10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 4) We Will All Give An Account
Live Like There Is No Tomorrow II 1 Peter 4:7-11 NKJV 7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers. 8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” 9 Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. 10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. I. The Days of Noah Gen. 6:5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Gal. 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. II. Enough Is Enough! Two Choices: 1) Live In The Flesh 2) Live For The Will Of God Enough Is Enough!
Same God Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. God is the same God today as He is in the Bible– our road map, the living word He is still that same God. Exodus 16:4 4 Then the Lord said to Moses, I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions. 5 On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days. Our God But the manna forced daily dependence and obedience. God is the same on the mountain and in the valley! Praise You in this storm God is the same God who sent his son to die on the cross for us! God is the same God.
