On the Saturday May 3, 2025 edition of The Richard Crouse Show we'll meet one of country music's most exciting and dynamic new voices, Niko Moon. He first garnered attention as a co-writer for Zac Brown Band, contributing to hits like “Homegrown” and “Beautiful Drug.” He has also wrote songs for Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts, and Morgan Wallen before breaking out as a solo artist with his 2020 multi-platinum single “Good Time”. His debut solo album ‘Good Time' showcased his ability to write a catchy-hook and he continued to deliver the optimism and hope he's been known for on 2024 album ‘Better Days' and on his latest releases, ‘These Are the Days' and ‘These Are the Nights.' This tour follows Niko's latest EPs These Are The Days and These Are The Nights (2024), which features great tunes like “Money Can't Buy” and “Summer Don't Go”. Then, we'll meet Keira Jang, star of Can I Get A Witness?” a Canadian eco-sci fi/coming-of-age film now on streaming sevices. It's set in a future where climate change and world poverty have been eradicated. To mitigate these modern-day issues, travel and technology are banned and every citizen must end life at 50. Documenting the process are artists as witnesses, like the character Kiera plays, a teenager on her first day on the job.

On the March 15, 2025 edition of The Richard Crouse Show we meet Atom Egoyan and Amanda Seyfried of the new film “Seven Veils.” In this a new psychological thriller, now playing in theatres, Seyfried is Jeanine, a director dealing with repressed trauma as she mounts a production of her mentor’s most famous work, the opera “Salome.” Rich with metaphor and suspense “Seven Veils” is an intellectual thriller about art imitating life. We also meet Sonequa Martin-Green. You know her from “Star Trek: Discovery,” “New Girl” and “The Good Wife.” She also played Sasha Williams, a main character and a survivor of the outbreak in “The Walking Dead.” Today we’ll talk about her new film, the dark comedy “My Dead Friend Zoe,” now playing in theatres. In it she plays an Afghanistan veteran haunted by her late best friend Zoe. Now in civilian life, she searches for a way forward as she suffers from PTSD and tends to her retired Lieutenant-Colonel grandfather played by Ed Harris. Then we meet Keira Jang, star of Can I Get A Witness?” a new Canadian eco-sci fi/coming-of-age film now playing in theaters. It’s set in a future where climate change and world poverty have been eradicated. To mitigate these modern-day issues, travel and technology are banned and every citizen must end life at 50. Directed by Ann Marie Fleming, CAN I GET A WITNESS? takes us into the future where life ends at 50 and teen artists are left to document it through sketching. Although it's Kiah's (Keira Jang) first day, her mother (Sandra Oh) is also getting her own affairs in order at home. In this 1on1, we speak to Jang and Fleming about 'how much time is enough' and the ways that Millennials view the future.

SERIES 2 EPISODE 84: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: Here's an idea. What if - instead of waiting for Trump to manipulate our system and get elected again and use The Insurrection Act against AMERICA, we just used it against him - today? It's not like he's not guilty of... you know... INSURRECTION. B-Block (28:03) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: Deadline nears on Ukraine $: How could the GOP be anti-gun? Witness tampering in the Georgia Trump case (with singing). The online Mehdi Hasan petition exceeds 15,000. Trump calls Jimmy Carter "The First Lady" and never even notices. (33:13) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: COP28 actually put a UAE Oil Sultan in charge and they're all shocked he denied fossil fuels are killing the planet. Trump Diapers now on sale. And Christian Ziegler is not only in huge legal trouble, but the other woman was only really interested in his Missus. C-Block (38:36) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: I guess because I'm suggesting using The Insurrection Act to SAVE America rather than leaving it for Trump to use to DESTROY America, I want to tell the saga of "A Christmas Story" and how Little Ralphie finally figured out how to defeat the bully, Scut Farkas (by invoking the insurrection act!)See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This week For The Wild Podcast presents Part Two of a two-part conversation between guest host brontë velez and Dr. Tiffany Lethabo King. Circumferencing Dr. Tiffany Lethabo King's book The Black Shoals: Offshore Formations of Black and Native Studies, brontë and Tiffany explore sacred laughter, Black and Indigenous feminism, sexuality, liberation, ceremony, and protocol. This week we are cradled to explore where Black and Indigenous relations can meet beyond the wound. Part Two spans further inquiry into shoals, the physical desire to belong to Earth, agency, eros, spiritual correction, the pleasure and potential of failure, and that which cannot be translated, but instead has to be experienced or co-witnessed to be understood. Research for this conversation was curated by jazmín calderón torres.Recorded in January of 2021, this interview is a companion piece to a project called Can I Get A Witness, a collaborative transmedia project between For The Wild and Lead to Life. Can I Get A Witness “traces two queer black latinx femmes, brontë velez and Stephanie Hewett, dancing before and being danced by the ecology, memory, and stories of the Tongass National Forests and Glacier Bay in southeast Alaska–unceded Haida, Tsimshian, Tlingit territories, scored by field recordings and music, interviews with Tiffany King, Wanda Kashudoha, and Kasyyahgei, with a Groundtruthing Oracle by jazmín calderón torres.Music by Jiordi Rosales and Ashia Karana. Circumferencing Dr. Tiffany Lethabo King's book The Black Shoals: Offshore Formations of Black and Native Studies, brontë and Tiffany explore sacred laughter, Black and Indigenous feminism, sexuality, liberation, ceremony, and protocol. This simultaneously intimate and expansive dialogue allows us to rethink the stories and structures we've been told regarding Black and Indigenous relations. Guided by a unquantifiable love and trust in Black and Native freedom dreams, Tiffany prompts us to explore ritual, space, and connection as antidote.Recorded in January of 2021, this interview is a companion piece to a project called Can I Get A Witness, a collaborative transmedia project between For The Wild and Lead to Life.Tiffany Lethabo King is an Associate Professor of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Georgia State University which is located on the ancestral lands of the Mvskoke Creek. While here, she is also grateful to be able to touch the Georgia soil where her maternal and paternal ancestors survived slavery and created New Worlds of possibility. Her research is situated at intersections of slavery and indigenous genocide in the Americas. King is the author of The Black Shoals: Offshore Formations of Black and Native Studies. The on going message series of "Can I Get A Witness" continues with word from Acts 2:22-24. Pastor Martin explains Soul Saving Preaching!
Pastor Martin continues the "Can I Get A Witness" series with a fresh word from Luke 24:44-49.
Episode one of Can I Get A Witness centers around a man learning to minister to those who would be his enemies. It begs the question, "How often do I turn away from others because they are the wrong kind of people?" This episode is taken from Acts 10:34-43. You can listen and read more from Southern Reverend at www.southernreverend.com or find me on Instagram and Facebook at the handle Southern Reverend. Y'all have a great week and be good to one another. (Intro song, "Morning," written and composed by Joel Elliott Mooneyhan. All rights reserved.)
CAN I GET A WITNESS? Join LaRue and Randolf for their first listener testimonies episode as they read real cult and extreme religion stories from real listeners. This episode's This Week in Jesus, brought to you by too much sangria, covers a mysteriously damp statue of Jesus and some real bullshit homophobia going on at a Christian elementary school in Oklahoma. Is the Jesus statue spewing holy water? Is the Christian school going to stop being the way it is? Nope! Then in UGH! Jesus Christ! LaRue and Randolf learn what listeners were told in their culty pasts as well as what LaRue might still think about dinosaurs. Special shoutout to our girl Katie for contributing lots of fun tales to this episode. Follow her ex-Christian-now-very-gay adventures at @ex_goodgirl in Instagram.
