There are so many words commonly used in parish renewal that can be ambiguous...or just plain mysterious. 'Disciple' is one of these words, because its a name given to a devoted follower of Jesus. Which sounds clear enough but what does that mean to the people in the pews? Does it mean "I believe" or "I'm on the journey" or "I serve in ministry" or something else. Join the Missional Leadership podcast as we explore what it means to be a disciple and how to gain clarity for your faith community. Enjoy! Follow @missionalleadershippodcast
Leading a parish on the journey of renewal is one of the most exciting things a priest or lay leader can do in ministry... but it can be tough. People will complain, leave, and get pretty negative over the inevitable changes that your parish will go though as it refocuses on mission, bring new people into a relationship with Jesus. While there are a number of ways that you'll be able to navigate these issues, like all change, the first person to take the next step will be you. So lets get prepared to dive into the world of self-leadership because God don't want us to just survive the journey, he wants us to thrive! Enjoy! Follow @MissionalLeadershipPodcast

To eat the next morning, leave uncovered (on a baking pan) overnight and place in oven in the morning after yeast rolls rise (see attached instructions attached above). To make in batches, multiply the recipe by the number of servings you wish to create, cover each separate pan with aluminum foil and freeze until ready to deliver to the lucky friends. Attach cooking instructions (attached above) to each Sticky Jeff pan when you drop them off. divinerenovation.org

In the fourth part of our series on the Vatican document on evangelization and parish renewal, Fr. James Mallon and Fiona O'Reilly speak into some of the obstacles within this document. This complex document created over so many years with the input of so many leaders means that there can be a degree of confusion and in this part of our discussion, we talk about some of the places we know that parishes might struggle in adopting this document or where the document itself might miss the mark. Want to know more about upcoming events, webinars, resources, and more? Click here to subscribe to the Divine Renovation Newsletter
The third part of our conversation between Fr. James Mallon and Fiona O'Reilly discusses the importance of the structure and our ways of working. In our ministry, we talk a lot about maintenance to mission and this document focuses on this idea in a significant way. This document speaks into not just mission but also has enough of a focus on how to give parishes a place to start from. How does this document distinguish between vision and a plan?
Join Father James Mallon and Fiona O'Reilly as they dig deeper into the first section of the Vatican's document on pastoral conversion.
Join Father James Mallon and Fiona O'Reilly as they discuss the document recently released from the Vatican, "The pastoral conversion of the parish community in the service of the evangelizing mission of the church". What impact does this document have on the Church and how does our work at Divine Renovation align with this new clarification on mission?
At Divine Renovation, we lean heavily into teams. In fact, we don’t think that a parish can move from maintenance to mission without building strong leadership teams. This week on the podcast, join Mike Tanner, Ron Huntley, Dan O’Rourke, and Rob McDowell as they come together to share their thoughts on why teams are so important and how parishes can actually form and grow successful teams. During our current season, it’s important to stay connected and when you’ve got a strong team around you, that connectivity is inevitable. THIS EPISODE WAS RECORDED PRIOR TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. Life is hard for young adults and it's even harder for those that wish to pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ. Christian ideals are constantly under attack from the media and aggressively secular culture. THIS PODCAST WAS RECORDED SEVERAL WEEKS AGO BEFORE TEAMS BEGAN SOCIAL DISTANCING AND REMOTE WORK Rob McDowell and Father James Mallon come together with Dan O’Rourke to dig into sacramental theology. The team works through some of the mistakes that we’ve made in the way we’ve handled sacraments in the history of the Church. Many show up for sacraments knowing full well that they don’t believe what they do or what they say. In these moments, there is no encounter. Are we doing what we’re supposed to be doing or what we think we’re supposed to be doing? Why have we focused on catechesis over evangelization in the Church? Do many of these issues stem from a bad translation? This is a great conversation for leaders looking to make a real shift from maintenance to mission. This week on the podcast things get exciting as Dan O'Rourke, Father James Mallon, and Rob McDowell discuss the evangelization efforts of parishes and whether those systems are fruitful or ill-fated. We'll dig into a discussion on what evangelization could or should look like and what it looks like far too often in the Catholic Church and the team will provide real, actionable advice on how pastors and lay leaders can make a difference when it comes to their efforts to bring people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
