Erika and Kristen are joined by returning guest Neill Wolf to break down Louis Theroux's Netflix documentary Into the Manosphere — and the terrifying, infuriating, hilarious world it reveals. From 13-year-olds swarming influencers in the streets of New York to a pregnant girlfriend who may not know she's not legally married, this one is one for the books. We chat about: HSTikkyTokky (Harrison) — a 23-year-old who introduces women as his "dishwasher," streams seven hours a day, and has a very weird dynamic with his mom. The hand symbols, his shaved head era, and his complete moral vacuum are all thoroughly dissected.Justin — the 40-year-old "polished" manosphere figure with a pregnant common-law wife, a steel magnate past, and a philosophy he calls "one-sided monogamy." The most unsettling figure precisely because he seems reasonable — until he says women don't know what they want and men should tell them.Myron Gaines (Fresh & Fit) — whose entire apartment is a podcast studio, whose girlfriend Angie cleans his room before Netflix arrives, and who couldn't answer Louie's question: "What if you just... only wanted to be with her?"The Fresh & Fit Delusion Calculator, the Matrix conspiracy spiral, the Bonnie Blue cameo, the Baron Trump name-drop, and the penis extension expert… we discuss it all!!!!! The group also wrestles with bigger questions: What does the male loneliness epidemic actually look like? Why are these ideologies skewing younger and younger into Gen Alpha? Is it all just a big grift, a belief system, or both? And what on earth do you do about it?Plus: Neill brought a list of things women invented. Erika is joined by friend of the pod and special guest Ashton to react to a Reddit post from a woman who is absolutely DONE being pregnant — stretch marks in places she didn't know could stretch, a partner telling her "your body will be better than ever," and a mom who just keeps saying "focus on the baby." YIKES. We get into why pregnancy horror stories are kept so quiet, the evolutionary reason human childbirth is uniquely dangerous, why women's pain gets minimized the second there's a baby involved, and the man on Instagram who came home for 1-2 hours a day and considered himself a parenting expert. Also: Ashton makes a great case for Dinky trips. Dinky listeners have been flooding our inboxes lately pressuring us to watch Season 10 of Love Is Blind — because it featured not one, but TWO storylines about women choosing non-traditional paths when it comes to kids. One of those women was Emma Betsinger, who is our guest today! Emma is a 28-year old who was adopted from China at age three, and raised in a white family in Ohio. Emma endured 10 surgeries before the age of 7 to remove high-risk birthmarks and expressed concerns about having biological kids as a result. She got engaged to Mike Gibney on the show, but their relationship ended at the altar. Today, we'll be talking to Emma about her experience sharing her story on the show and where she stands on kids now.TRIPS:Christmas Markets 2026!!! David Baddiel joins Gyles this week to tell his unconventional family story. David paints a vivid picture of his childhood home in Dollis Hill, north-west London, and of the unusual people in it: his parents, and two brothers. His father, a frustrated scientist who ended up selling Dinky cars in an antiques market, was angry, disappointed, and hilarious. His mother was aspirational, cultured, with an extremely high sex drive. (This episode contains discussions of sex and relationships, and swear words, and is for 18+ listeners only). Their story is remarkable, sometimes funny, sometimes shocking, and, in the end, very moving.David's Channel 4 series, David Baddiel: Cat Man starts on Friday 16 January at 8pm. It's about David's love of cats, which started in childhood. His book, My Family is well worth reading, and is available here.Enjoy this! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

In this hilariously chaotic quilting retreat, the Inappropriate Quilters gathered with special guests Lina Owens from Bluebell Designs and Dee Bushrod from Pixel Quilts for a spicy, laughter-filled conversation spanning cultural traditions, quilting projects, and plenty of inappropriate tangents! The group shared stories about their multicultural backgrounds, with Lina discussing her recently launched bilingual quilting book (the first in the industry) and Dee revealing how her pixel quilt of the Queen actually received a response from Buckingham Palace. Between fits of laughter, they discussed upcoming collaborations, including a joint retreat at Hamilton Quilt Retreats where Dee and Rochelle will be teaching pixel quilts and pet portraits featuring Winky, Dee's one-eyed rescue pug who apparently "rules the house."The conversation took numerous wild turns as the quilters shared Colombian New Year's traditions like running around the neighborhood with luggage at midnight, eating twelve grapes while making wishes, and wearing specific colored underwear for love or money in the coming year. Amidst all the quilting talk, the group couldn't help but veer into hilarious tangents about flat feet, googly eyes mysteriously appearing in underwear, and the dream of getting Dee's pixel quilts to celebrities like Post Malone and Jelly Roll. The meeting wrapped up with a heartfelt moment acknowledging the importance of friendship and collaboration in the quilting industry, ending with a Bob Ross-inspired quote: "The secret to doing anything is believing you can do it."Enjoy!Send us a textFollow Leslie on Instagram at @leslie_quilts and Rochelle at @doughnutwarrior

Before we talk about today's episode, consider taking a trip with Dinky! We have two amazing trips: A long weekend in Mexico City, and a Christmas Markets adventure in Germany. Is your childfree choice written in the stars? In this episode, we sit down with astrologer Christina Garcia to explore what astrology reveals about the decision not to have children. Christina reads Erika + Kristen's birth charts and walks us through the placements and patterns that might point to a childfree path. We dive into the houses and signs that speak to parenting, autonomy, and purpose — and unpack how astrology can validate, affirm, or even challenge how we see ourselves. Whether you're a chart-curious skeptic or a full-blown astro girlie, this is a juicy one.The Dinky Patreon is officially live! What if the very thought of pregnancy or giving birth filled you with terror — not just discomfort or anxiety, but real, paralyzing fear?In this episode, Erika and Kristen explore tokophobia, an often-overlooked condition defined by the Cleveland Clinic as an extreme fear of childbirth. Tokophobia can affect people so severely that they may go to great lengths to avoid pregnancy altogether. For those who do become pregnant, the fear can overshadow what many new parents expect to be a joyful time. We unpack the psychological and cultural roots of this condition, share firsthand accounts from those living with it, and discuss how tokophobia intersects the choice to remain childfree. Whether you've experienced this fear yourself, or are just hearing about it for the first time, this episode offers validation, insight, and a fresh perspective on reproductive autonomy. In This Episode, We Cover:

A lot to unpack in this episode! Today we are talking about Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill": what it includes and, most importantly, what's at stake for Americans when it comes to Medicaid, increasing federal debt, AI, and impacts specific to "childless adults."Note: We're recording this on June 20, 2025 and the Senate won't even start debating the bill until at least June 22, 2025. So, some details about this conversation MAY have updates by the time this episode goes live, but the generalizations should remain in tact. Let's talk about the SAVE act — the new legislation moving through Congress that has TikTok worried that many women and trans people will no longer be eligible to vote. If you're unfamiliar, the SAVE Act would require all Americans to prove their citizenship with documentation unavailable to millions and upend the way every American citizen registers to vote.We have two long weekend trips toMexico City going live on May 7!Mexico City Weekend 1: Oct 9 - 12Mexico City Weekend 2: Oct. 16 - 19 (GIRLS TRIP)The Dinky Patreon is officially live! Today we are talking about a cult adjacent to Tradwives: the Momfluencer. According to Wikipedia: “A mom influencer or momfluencer is a mother who shares the early moments of motherhood on social media, often utilizing sites such as Instagram.” Or, as Vox reports, “The simplest definition (of a momfluencer) is someone who has monetized her maternal identity on social media.” We'll be covering the world of momfluencing in more detail, including the notorious cases of the Stauffers & Ruby Franke. The Dinky Patreon is officially live! FULL EP HERE: https://www.patreon.com/slopquest The boys debate which drugs count as party drugs. Andy has cocaine on his toenail but won't come clean about it. The gang fondly recounts Ari Shaffir doodie stories. Andy finds out that Apple Podcasts had been transcribing portions of the show as “fun” previews to entice people but they look even more unhinged. Ryan is back from Skankfest with some news! Then he recounts his next door neighbors fighting relentlessly, a dog pisses all over O'Neill's feet and a YouTube comment blows him away. Andy gets a new job painting lady dongs. Then Andy has sex ed from a nun and she won't answer any of his questions. Then they both reminisce about setting fires as children.
