Pastoring a local body of believers can be stressful. If we as pastors are going to care for our church and our people, we must take care of ourselves and our familes. On episode 24, Pastors Adam Clagg and Brandon Johns share a few things they do to destress and how and where some of their favorite vacation spots are. *Disclaimer: You will hear a lot about both their families' favorite place to vacation, Walt Disney World. I hope you enjoy hearing about the importance of destressing! Mentioned in this podcast - unlockingthemagic.com (Brandon's go to podcast for all things Disney)

Richard helps the software become a little less daunting, and how anyone on any budget can take advantage of this Logos! You can find him and the other guys who run Logos Daily at https://logos-daily.com/ or on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/BraveDaily
This is part two of our awesome interview with Joshua Riggs from WorshipResources.Church In this episode, Pastors Brandon, Adam, and Joshua discuss avoiding getting "strikes" from YouTube and Facebook for music copyright, improving stage lighting, different streaming providers (including ones that will stream the service directly to your church's website), cameras, and what to do if your live feed ends in the middle of a service, and more. Tweetable quotes: "You, as the pastor, need to address the online audience every week." - Joshua Riggs Streaming Providers: Resi (Top of the Line) Light Cast Media ChurchStreaming.tv Vimeo Live Stream Haivision Media Fusion BoxCast (What Joshua's church uses) Worship Channels StreamingChurch.tv LifeStream TV Stream Monkey Sermon.net Be sure to follow us on the Every Pastor Facebook page. In this episode we interview Joshua Riggs, Worship Pastor at Bethany Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He also has a great website WorshipResources.church with free and inexpensive resources for your church. WorshipResourches.Church shows you how to get and use sermon graphics, videos, social media, motion backgrounds, stock photos, and more. His website helps you discover and learn how to use quality resources to make your church look better. Check it out! Our discussion is about how we can do a better job live streaming our church services. Conversation starter: How is live streaming working for you? What are the limitations? VIDEO Switcher Studio is the system that is currently used in Adam's church and Brandon's church. Next step with physical cameras would be an ATEM Mini Pro ($600) that has 4 video inputs and audio. Also, ATEM Studio ($1,000) with 8 inputs / SDI connections HDMI has limitations. SDI is broadcast/standard. Joshua recommends thinking long term (next 3 to 5 years) and purchase gear that is scaleable. Cameras- Canon or Panasonic 4k options ($1,200-$2,000) Canon XA45 - 4K is about $2,000 PTZ is low profile, but not recommended. AUDIO "The most important thing about video streaming is the audio." Get your audio from the board using an interface like iRig. You should use the Aux out from the board or bus mis, not the main house mix. Things sound different in the sanctuary versus on someone's phone, tablet, or TV. It needs to be a different mix. Monitor it with headphones and solo out the mix you put the live stream on. Most large churches have a separate mixer to get the audio to live stream. Best option is to use an AUX from the board, set everything to POST FADE anduse headphones to monitor the mix. *** This is part one of this interesting conversation. We still have 40 more minutes that will be released later *** In part two, we will discuss how to get your live feed from your church and to the internet. We discuss Facebook, YouTube, embedding the service directly on your website, lighting, camera angles, pastor's attire, talking to the camera, online host to talk to guests, what to do when the feed is disrupted, and more. Joshua also shares blogs, podcasts, and YouTube channels that he recommends for church media. Subscribe to the podcast so you will get a notification when part two airs. What does a pastor do all day? In this episode, two above-average pastors of normal-sized churches share their daily and weekly routines. Pastor Adam (a night owl who does not keep office hours) and Pastor Brandon (a morning person who keeps regular office hours) discuss how they each get ministry done each day and plan their 40+ hour work weeks. They explain some things they have learned over the years about keeping a healthy rhythm while living the strange ministry schedule. Adam and Brandon both have children at home, so they also discuss the importance of family time.
