Jesus Crucified | John 19 Welcome to Faith on Hill Church. We gather every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. both in person on Hill Road and online at faithonhill.com. In this message from John chapter 19, we look at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. We consider the apathy of Pilate and the hostile rejection of the religious leaders. Pastor Adam talks about the suffering Jesus endured, and the call for every person to consider their response to him. Whether rejection happens through hostility or apathy, the invitation remains: look to Jesus and the hope he gives.
This is the weekly message from Thrive Church Online with Pastor Adam.
In this episode of Beyond the Letter, Pastor Adam sits down with Sammy, Fuego, and Joseph to talk about the tension between recognition and humility in today's culture. As believers, how do we navigate moments of success and influence without losing sight of the One who gave us the gift in the first place?Drawing from Romans 16 and the example of Paul, the conversation reveals that honor and recognition aren't the problem—it's our posture that matters. Whether you're leading, creating, or simply serving in your calling, this discussion challenges you to examine your motives: are you seeking applause, or impact? The group reminds us that influence is a tool, not a trophy, and that true greatness is measured by humility and obedience to God.This episode is a timely reminder to be in the world but not of it—using your gifts to influence culture without compromising your integrity or devotion to Christ.--Connect with:Adam Mesa https://www.instagram.com/amesa/Sammy Rodriguez https://www.instagram.com/samuelmrod/Fuego Padilla https://www.instagram.com/iamfuegopadilla/Joseph Valcarcel https://www.instagram.com/joseph_aaron_valcarcel/--Don't forget to stay connected with us:Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4OvpFp9OB9_DgVdVVbXhFgInstagram https://www.instagram.com/beyond.theletter/Tik Tok https://www.tiktok.com/discover/beyond-the-letter--Get Aaron Levy's book, JOHN: 21 Daily Drips of Dialogue: https://a.co/d/7lGB90i--Have a question? What happens when God makes an everlasting promise? In Pastor Adam's compelling exploration of God's relationship with Israel, he unveils how God's covenant with Abraham extends far beyond a mere historical agreement. Through a masterful journey through Scripture, from Genesis to Romans, Pastor Adam demonstrates that God's commitment to Israel isn't just about land or lineage – it's about His unchanging character as a promise keeper. He powerfully illustrates how God's faithfulness to Israel, despite their unfaithfulness, serves as a profound testament to His grace and sovereignty. Pastor uniquely connects this ancient covenant to modern believers, showing how God's dealings with Israel mirrors His relationship with all believers – based not on merit but on His unshakeable faithfulness. Drawing from key passages in Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and Romans, Pastor Adam challenges the congregation to recognize that as surely as the sun rises each morning, God's promises to Israel remain unbroken. He concludes with an urgent invitation to trust this same faithful God with our own salvation, reminding us that the God who keeps His word to Israel can be trusted with our eternal destiny.Thank you for tuning into today's message at Bold City Church! Pastor Adam BowersYour identity isn't defined by your success or failure, your strengths or your flaws, or even what others think of you. Your true identity is found in Christ alone. In this powerful message from Pastor Adam, we look at the life of Jacob, a man who made many mistakes, lived with regrets, and yet experienced a profound reset in the final chapter of his life. At 97 years old, God called Jacob back to Bethel. Back to the place of encounter, surrender, and transformation. It was there that God invited Jacob to:- Take out the trash- Purify himself- Build an altar- Embrace a new identityNo matter your age or your past, God is still calling. It's never too late for a fresh start.Let this message encourage you to stop striving and start living from the identity God has given you.Don't forget to like, subscribe, and share this message with someone who needs a reset.#Genesis #Bible
In a world obsessed with showing off, Pastor Adam Haugen reminds us that modesty isn't about appearance — it's about the heart. True modesty keeps honor in the right place, directing glory to God rather than ourselves. Learn how to flex less, honor more, and walk humbly with Him.

Listen as Pastor Adam reviews Bible stories rarely shared in sermons or Bible Studies.
This message is about loving God, not because of what He does for us, but because of who He is.
Jesus opens the sermon on the mount by flipping our expectation of "the good life" upside down. In his kingdom, the poor in spirit inherit the kingdom, the mourners are comforted, and the persecuted are blessed. In this sermon, Pastor Adam walks through Matthew 5, showing how the promise of Christ's kingdom subverts our expectations of what blessing is, and transforms our motivation from one of anxiety and fear to one of love and faith.
Continuing in our series called You Asked For It, Pastor Adam teaches on what the Bible says about the last days.
A lack of interest is a real deterrent. No one wants to share something meaningful with someone when it’s evident that the other person just wants the conversation to end. Pastor Adam and Steph give examples of why spiritual fruit is so critical to sharing your testimony. Anyone would want the good fruit, or qualities, […]
Read Joshua chapter 2 as we listen to Pastor Adam encourage us to live by faith and obedience to God.
This message is about loving God, not because of what He does for us, but because of who He is.
In Matthew 3–4, we see Jesus baptized in the Jordan, affirmed by the Father, tested in the wilderness, and calling disciples into mission. Where Adam failed, where Israel failed, where we fail—Jesus succeeded. In this sermon, Pastor Adam shows us how our perfect Christ pioneers the way for imperfect people like us to know God's acceptance, fight temptation, and follow him in his mission.
Pastor Adam continues in Genesis 28–29, looking at Jacob's dream of a stairway to heaven. This passage shows us how God reaches down to us, reaffirms His promises, and points forward to Jesus as the true connection between heaven and earth. We'll explore what it means to trust God, not only with our lives but also with our giving. Jacob responded to God's presence with worship and generosity, and we're invited to do the same.We also take a look at how Scripture ties together across time, from Genesis to John to Malachi, revealing God's consistent faithfulness and desire to dwell with His people. To learn more, get connected, join a group, serve, or start giving, visit efree.org/connect#genesis #onmission #biblestudy #church #sermon #sermons

This message centers on the betrayal and discovery of the betrayal of Jesus. Pastor Adam highlights the portion of John 13 that discusses how Jesus uncovered the truth about his betrayal, the discovery of who the betrayer was, and the subsequent departure of the betrayer, who was Judas. This passage showcases how Jesus responded to this news with perfect grace and love, depicting His eternal and everlasting mercy.
This week at Glad Tidings Church, we conclude our Legacy series with a powerful reminder that God is always working—upstream and down the road. Drawing from Joshua 3–4 and Habakkuk 2:3, Pastor Adam Haugen unpacks what it means to wait on God when the river feels raging, the miracle seems delayed, and doubts start to rise.Through stories of Joshua's faith at the Jordan River, the hidden clay that became the Temple's foundation centuries later, and the legacy of Glad Tidings itself, we see how obedience today can shape worship and transformation for generations to come.If you've ever wrestled with God's timing, questioned His silence, or wondered if your faith really matters, this message will encourage you: while you're waiting, God is working—upstream in ways you cannot see, and down the road in ways you cannot yet imagine.

This week we explore some of Paul's time in Ephesus. There's the account of the Sons of Sceva who were faking authority by using the name of Christ to try to mimic God's gift of healing through Paul. It did not go well for them! Pastor Adam encourages us to be authentic in our faith and to know and embrace our authority in Christ as we take up the armor of God and battle against the common evil spirits we encounter today. Spirits of, impurity, fear, religion (spiritual pride), or slothfulness (passivity). "We can and should walk in the true and complete authority of Jesus Christ." -Featuring Adam Sexton
In this episode of Beyond the Letter, Pastor Adam and the team take us on a journey through the rich history of the Church. From standing during the reading of Scripture to the rhythms of communion, the conversation invites us to reflect on how ancient traditions and practices can still shape our worship today. This isn't just a history lesson—it's an invitation to root ourselves deeper in the timeless truths of our faith. By exploring the unity and diversity that has characterized Christian worship across two millennia, we're encouraged to be curious, reflective, and intentional in how we live out our faith in the present. In part three of our Legacy series, Pastor Adam Haugen reminds us that leaving a legacy means more than having a mentor—it also means investing in someone else. Just as Moses poured into Joshua, we are called to raise up the next generation, even while facing our own battles. This message challenges us to fight for others in prayer, pursue God personally, and be strong and courageous in the face of opposition. Legacy isn't just about what we receive—it's about who we invest in.
Raising the next generation is not a top-down project. It lives or dies in the middle. From Acts 18, Pastor Adam shows how Aquila and Priscilla quietly took Apollos aside and turned raw zeal into sharp effectiveness. Pastor Adam shares about the importance of getting serious about who is a hypocrite according to scripture.
Join us this Sunday with a message live from the launch of VIVE West London! Pastor Adam brings a powerful word from Romans 12, reminding us that it's time to make up our minds. God is either in control or He's not. He's either on the throne or He's not. Let's choose to trust Him completely and live with the confidence that comes from His rule.
Welcome to part 2 of Progressive Christianity with Pastor Adam. In this episode, we explore the doctrine of God by learning about a progressive Christian understanding of the Trinity. God is love. God relates to God's Self in love and relates to the world in love.
In this episode of The Follow Up, Pastor Adam and Pastor Ryan kick off our new series in the Gospel of John: That You May Believe. We dig into John 1:1–18, unpacking the identity of Jesus as both fully God and fully man, the Word made flesh, and the light that shines in the darkness. We talk about: • Why John's opening verses matter for our faith today • The divinity and humanity of Jesus and why both are essential • How Jesus reveals who God really is • What it means that He is the light in the darkness, especially in heavy times • How believers can respond with both truth and loveWhether you're new to the Bible or have studied it for years, this conversation will help you see Jesus more clearly and grow deeper in your walk with Him.
This past Sunday, Pastor Adam challenged us to dive deeper into the ocean of God's grace and love. The central theme revolves around the gospel as our foundation and framework for faithful living. We're reminded that the gospel isn't just our entry point into Christianity—it is Christianity. The book of Romans, particularly chapters 1:8-17, serves as the scriptural backbone, emphasizing that we shouldn't be ashamed of the gospel because it's the power of God for salvation. This message encourages us to move beyond surface-level faith, likened to 'professional snorkeling,' and instead plunge into the depths of God's grace. We're called to build our lives on the gospel, allowing it to permeate every aspect of our existence. Let's consider how we can live unashamed of the gospel, strengthening each other's faith, and eagerly sharing the good news with others.
