It's been a while so we bring you an extra long pod. Joined by 2 special guests, this week starts with the stuff. We rank our most anticipated 2019 movie releases. The food isn't really food but what goes on our food as we continue ranking things and pick our top 5 condiments. Ketchup makes an appearance! Finally we preview the NBA season and try once again to predict all 16 playoff teams but mostly we make jokes about Lebron's teammates both old and new.
Joe is joined by resident FASS NBA "expert" Michael Williamson. They talk all things wings, their favorite and least favorite flavors and their interest in spicy wing challenges. Joe and Mike then recap the NBA off-season craziness including Lebron on the Lakers and Kawaii in the North. They finish up with a discussion of the best and worst thigns their kids watch.
This week Joe brings on a very special guest to discuss the late Anthony Bourdain. They discuss his life and some topics he may have enjoyed including sports trips, food and potential travel destinations.
Official travel guru of the podcast, Sean Sallee returns to discuss the divine chaos that is Popeye's chicken. The guys follow that up with a timely discussion about soccer ask an all too familiar question; what the fuck happened to the U.S Men's soccer team? They finish up with a long winded breakdown of the T.V series Atlanta including their favorite episodes and scenes from the two seasons.
The New York Mets start the season off on fire so we bring back frenemy of the pod Valerie and her father, Danny to discuss the pros and cons of this Met team and our expectations for them. There is also a lengthy discussion on pizza toppings and lots of jokes about anchovies. We finish up with our favorite episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
This week has 4 special guests who help us draft different things. For food we draft the perfect breakfast sandwich. There is a meat run and a lot of debate as to what is the best bread. There is also a too lengthy discussion on ketchup. For sports we draft NCAA basketball teams we think will win the title. We swear we recorded this on the 16th of March. Finally we close out with a deal pool draft of characters from Marvel Infinity Wars which Joe does the most minimal research on.
In Episode 2 of season 2 Joe is joined by Sean Sallee. They taste test McDonald's dipping sauces including the famed Mulan Szechuan sauce. They follow that up with a lengthy discussion of the FBI investigation into NCAA corruption and finish with their favorite and least favorite upcoming reboots.

The Holiday episode aka episode 12 aka the dirty dozen. The guys analyze your unpopular holiday food opinions and give their own hot takes. Chris and Joe discuss Carlos Beltran’s legacy as a Metropolitan. The guys then disclose their personal MLB hall of fame ballots and discuss statistics vs the perception of former stars. They finish with a too long convo about Marvel vs D.C and what Disney’s purchase of Fox could mean for some beloved franchises.
Episode 11 is here! The guys had breakfast together again and Damian describes his standard breakfast order. We get an HQ trivia update from Chris and then talk burger emoji logistics. This week’s “sports” is discussing the iconic basketball documentary, Space Jam. The guys finish up with some talk about Disney buying Fox and what it means for Avengers vs X-Men vs Star Wars.
We made it to Episode 10. We brought a special guest on to mark the occasion. We start off with a discussion on the best stadium foods which is really just an opportunity fir the guys to tell some ridiculous stadium food-related stories. We move on to dumb movies we actually think are good and what constitutes a “dumb” movie. Chris and Damian try to sell Joe on using an app called HQ. The guys finish up with an NBA preview that is mostly just Space Jam talk.
This one starts with a taste test of a new Doritos product. The guys then discuss the best carnival foods and everyone’s infatuation with funnel cake. They play a sports trivia game to determine who knows more, Damian or Chris. They follow that up with a discussion on Bodak Yellow and the oldest whitest conversation about hip-hop in 2017. All 3 guys watched Baby Driver so they share their thoughts and finish up with the first ever feedback feedbag.
The guys start with news of a major development in Staten Island food services. This leads to a discussion of price gouging at bagel deli. They then chime in on Bodega Boxes and how an idea of that magnitude even gets off the ground. This week was sports movie talk, baseball specifically. Social media had lots of opinions which were fine and so did Chris which was not fine. ****Spoiler Alert**** They finish up with a debate on spoilers and how much is too much? Chris closes the pod with an unbelievable story from the set of Cloverfield.
The guys eat breakfast together again and are varying degrees of sleep deprived. They talk non-specifically about their favorite meals in NY and too specifically about their results of a Buzzfeed Quiz. They move onto season 3 of Rick and Morty and whether or not the shows more existential premise is better. Joe and Chris finish up with a conversation about how fantasy sports impact their real life fandom and talk way too much about their own fantasy league. Also, Joe lets you know how to send in corrections on stuff they get wrong.
The guys have a special guest, friend/nemesis of the pod, Joe's sister. They talk about NY centric food and then wonder why millennials are obsessed with avocados (7:31). This is followed by a discussion of every kind of cheese ever created (11:58). Chris watched MTV's the Challenge Dirty 30 (36:18) so the gang gets deep into the intricacies of that and wonder why anyone watches this show at all while Damian takes a break to draw Batman (48:30). Finally, they finish up with a mostly civil discussion about another lost year for the Mets (57:46).
The guys spend the entire episode going off the rails and subsequently trying to get back on. They start with a discussion about the color of Chris' nacho steak and then remember this isn't a visual medium. They follow up with a discussion of your favorite Chinese food items and try to create the perfect take out Chinese order. They awkwardly transition to discussion the Cornhole championships on ESPN but that devolved into giggling like school children because there is no way to discuss cornhole without it sounding overtly sexual. They end with Tv recommendations, one that Chris hated and one that Damian hated.
Chris goes to Starbucks which leads to a learning opportunity about the history of avocados. People on Facebook have thoughts on eggs and Joe mostly hates those thoughts. The guys weigh in on ketchup's right to exist then move on to arguing about the Mets. They finish up with a discussion about the NBC comedy The Good Place.
Chris and Joe Recap their breakfast together. Then they analyze a list of the best type of French fries and read your FB comments. The guys follow up by discussing celebrations in baseball (specifically 's vs the last week and finish up nerding out about : Homecoming and the Cinematic Universe. Oh, and they find a way to talk about avocados again.
Joe and Chris talk for longer than necessary about avocado cutting technique. Then they go into their top 5 candies and Joe chides Chris for his feelings on Swedish fish. The guys start off discussing NBA finals which transitions into a more meta conversation about sports narratives. Then the guys try to "fix" baseball and finish up with Damian complaining about the props on the Americans.
Chris and Joe spend an excessive amount of time discussing chain restaurants but somehow forget about Waffle House until about halfway through. Then the guys compare the Stanley Cup playoffs to the NBA playoffs and ruminate on whether movies about those respective sports mirror real life or vice versa. Lastly, Joe talks shit about George RR Martin as the guys geek out a bit about Game of Thrones.
