Mark Walker, CEO at Nue.io, helps companies design pricing models that align with how customers actually experience value—across usage, subscriptions, and hybrid approaches. In this episode, he joins Mark Stiving to unpack a growing tension: companies are pushing more flexible pricing models—but customers don't always want them. At the center is a simple question that changes everything: "How would you like to buy?" They explore why pricing isn't about finding one perfect model, but about giving customers the right options—while avoiding the complexity that slows decisions. If you're trying to evolve your pricing so customers can decide faster (without overwhelm), this is a conversation you'll want to hear. Why You Have to Check Out Today's Podcast: Understand why the future of pricing isn't choosing the "right" model—but giving customers the right options. See why customers don't want to decode your pricing—and how simplifying it builds trust faster. Learn how to experiment with pricing without breaking your business—or your customer relationships. "You need to introduce your customers to what you're going to be changing about your product set and ask them to tell you how they would relate that to value." — Mark Walker Topics Covered: 02:26 – What is a revenue architecture system? Why pricing, billing, and quoting can't live in silos anymore—and how unifying them enables pricing flexibility 05:11 – Aligning pricing models to customer value Why the same product needs different pricing models depending on how customers experience value 08:11 – What "hybrid pricing" really means Breaking down how companies combine subscription and usage to better reflect real-world value 19:29 – Why changing pricing is so hard The hidden risk: once a pricing model is live, you're locked into it longer than you think 21:39 – Optionality as a pricing strategy Why giving customers multiple ways to buy may outperform forcing a single pricing model 25:42 – Outcome-based pricing: what it actually means Why outcome-based pricing isn't new—and really comes down to who takes the risk 29:36 – Don't guess pricing—ask your customers Why involving customers early can prevent costly pricing mistakes 30:44 – How to talk to customers about pricing changes The role of communication in introducing new pricing without creating resistance Platforms & Pricing Model Examples: Amazon Web Services – Example of committed spend and consumption-based pricing at scale Snowflake – Known for credit-based pricing, highlighting the tradeoff between flexibility and pricing clarity DocuSign – Example of outcome-based pricing where customers pay per completed transaction ZoomInfo – Combines seat-based pricing with credits, illustrating hybrid pricing in practice Key Takeaways: "The more abstract you make the relationship between what the person is doing and what that costs, the harder it is to get the customer to budget for it." — Mark Walker "Outcome-based pricing is not a real thing. It is just a subset of usage-based pricing." — Mark Walker "You need to introduce your customers to what you're going to be changing… and ask them to tell you how they would relate that to value." — Mark Walker "Align your pricing to how your customer measures value." — Mark Walker People Mentioned: Steven Forth – Pricing thought leader referenced in discussions about credit-based pricing and abstraction Ray Tetlow – Mark Walker's mentor; known for simplifying business models and influencing his perspective on pricing structures Connect with Mark Walker: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/markwalker/ Website: https://www.nue.io/ Connect with Mark Stiving: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stiving/ Email: mark@impactpricing.com

Send us Fan MailVideo version HEREA forgotten 1889 haunting… a violent poltergeist… and a voice that claimed to be the Devil. In this episode of Into the Fog, I uncover one of the most disturbing and little-known paranormal cases in Canadian history: The Dagg Farm Haunting. After finding a long-lost book and cross-checking it with historical records, I've pieced together a chilling story of a rural family in Clarendon, Quebec, whose quiet farmhouse became the centre of terrifying supernatural activity. We're not just talking about moving objects or strange noises. This case includes: • Spontaneous fires • Windows shattering with no cause • Objects flying violently through the air • Human waste mysteriously appearing across the house • A young girl physically attacked… her hair torn from her scalp • And most disturbing of all… a disembodied voice speaking obscene and threatening wordsMultiple witnesses, including a visiting investigator, heard the voice for themselves. It claimed to be the Devil… and said it had been sent to torment the family. But was this a genuine supernatural haunting… a hoax… or an invasion of some kind of demonic force. I don't say this often, but I'm tempted to say this one is demonic. After listening all the way through, you'll understand why. And after tracking down the original location and speaking with current property owners, I ask the question: Did whatever haunted the Dagg family truly leave… or has it lingered?Voice WorkJames Andrews - Percy WoodcockShelley Hodgkinson - Mrs DaggGrace Mirza - Susan DaggElyse Rowe (@littlefluffballsandbigcraf7630) - Mary DaggKaye Salter - Dinah McLeanDemon - Peter LawsFor more on Peter Laws check out:www.patreon.com/peterlawsor www.peterlaws.co.uk
Have you ever wanted to work with a unicorn? In the business world, the term "unicorn" is used for rare start-ups that quickly reach billion-dollar valuations. Somewhere along the way, the world borrowed the name of a rare, beautiful, mystical creature and gave it a purely financial meaning. It is time to redefine the unicorn and highlight PEOPLE who represent the rare and magical Unicorn aspects in their businesses Let's use our own influence and honor what a true unicorn can be: a visionary human being who creates value, connection, and growth for others. As I see it, Jane Groves of The Digital Content Studio represents what the business world should recognize as the real business and human side of a unicorn. https://www.skool.com/@thedigitalcontentstudio?g=the-digital-content-studio-1017 She possesses many of the traits often associated with high-performing companies and leaders: fast, authentic, agile, solution-oriented, prepared, self-aware, curious, connected, likable, productive, and purpose-driven. There is also a calmness about her. She challenges traditional roles, thinks analytically, creates opportunities instead of waiting for them, and leads with confidence. What truly makes Jane Groves a unicorn is that she understands real wealth is not measured only in money. It is measured in community, collaboration, generosity, and shared success. She has built a space where like-minded people come together to learn, grow, and support one another. Inside her Skool community, members gain tools to attract their ideal audience, define their ideal client avatar, understand what motivates and frustrates their audience, and build for long-term success. My view is that Jane has created billions in assets within her community—not financial assets, but human assets. Knowledge, support, opportunity, creativity, encouragement, and transformation. Whether someone is a brand-new entrepreneur, an experienced business owner, or someone ready for a rebrand, there is value waiting for them. Her digital content is created to be shared, and much of it is offered freely. She encourages members to share their own knowledge as well, because when knowledge is shared, everyone becomes richer. RESOURCES Inside the Studio you'll find: • Expert Series Workshops with guest educators covering visibility, AI tools, digital products, branding, systems, and mindset • The Founder's Playbook — a structured guide to building a business from the ground up • Canva Design School & AI Hub for practical creative and productivity skills • On-Demand Class Library with session replays and practical lessons • Template Vault with Canva templates and PLR/MRR resources for personal or commercial use Everything inside the Studio is completely FREE, giving you the tools, knowledge, and support to build your business with clarity and purpose. @ thedigitalcontentstudio Kundalini Yoga https://youtu.be/ckO8aCA5HQw?feature=shared Wine and Food Gruet blanc de noir good sparkling wine from French vines, French winemakers and their New Mexico terroir. If you do not use all the cloud resources you have committed to, Archera will literally cover the difference. When I hear the word “steward” I think of the people who work on airplanes that go up and down the aisles asking people if they want peanuts, a cookie, or some type of drink. They also have the job of making sure everyone follows the rules such as putting on our seatbelts as the plane is getting ready to take off. They “manage” the plane if you will. For a short time, the plane is a dwelling place full of people and the steward makes sure everything is in order. Paul says he, Apollos, Peter, and other who minister the gospel are simply stewards who must be faithful. Unseen, unheard, and faithful are three words to describe these men the Corinthian church are dividing over. Do those words describe us as we carry the gospel to others?

What would you like the next step to be? Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results. Hi Bob, hi Jane, hi Janie, hi Joey, hi Jimmy. All right, hope you had a great holiday season. As we're entering the new year, many of my clients are revisiting their goals that they paused in December. Okay, I'm sure your prospects can relate. I have found the last sentence is a very, very good one that will help understand where your client is at any given time. And here it is. What would you like the next steps to be? Now they know what that means. In our working together, you know, Kirk, are you still looking at that same concept? And are you still looking at multi-unit? And are you still looking to have this as part of your 2026 goals? If somebody comes back to me and says, you know, Carl, I'd like to talk about this in September of next year. Q1, Q2, I'm not going to do anything. I'm going to start thinking about it in Q3. Let's talk in September. I'll be ready to go then. I'll put that right in my CRM and say, okay, that's totally cool. Kirk, let's talk in September. I don't mind people doing that. Now, could they just be pushing me off? They could be. But if they're a client or a deal later, they're already draining my resources.Like and follow this podcast so you can learn more. My name is Carl Gould and this has been your #70secondCEO.

Today's Poll Question at Smerconish.com: "Where would you like to see the USA gold medal winning men's and women's hockey teams present at tonight's State of the Union?" Fresh off Olympic gold in Milan, Team USA hockey is riding a rare wave of national unity—but should that moment take center stage at a deeply partisan State of the Union? Michael explores whether inviting the men's and women's teams honors a shared American triumph or risks turning sports into political theater. With protests already planned and memories of past SOTU disruptions still fresh, this episode examines decorum, tradition, and the enduring power of sports to bring Americans together—even when politics pulls them apart.
