    Ivy Insights

The Layer By Layer podcast is one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. It combines humor, entertainment, and informative content all centered around the world of speed cubing. Hosted by Cheery Gonzales and Your Nan's Boyfriend, this podcast offers a unique and refreshing take on the cubing community.

One of the best aspects of The Layer By Layer podcast is its hilarious and lighthearted approach to discussing speed cubing. Cheery Gonzales and Your Nan's Boyfriend have great chemistry together, with Cheery providing logical insights and Your Nan's Boyfriend adding comedic relief. Their banter keeps the podcast engaging and entertaining throughout each episode.

Additionally, the length of each episode is perfect for long listening sessions. With episodes often exceeding an hour, it provides ample content to enjoy while doing other activities like mowing the lawn or solving a Rubik's cube. The fact that they don't curse in their episodes also makes it more accessible for a wider audience, particularly younger listeners who may be interested in cubing.

However, one downside to The Layer By Layer podcast is that they don't upload new episodes very frequently. While the quality of each episode is excellent, it would be nice to have more regular content from them. This can leave fans wanting for more and potentially feeling disappointed when there are long gaps between episodes.

In conclusion, The Layer By Layer podcast is a fantastic blend of humor and cubing knowledge that appeals to both experienced solvers and newcomers to the cubing community. From their witty banter to informative discussions about different events like FMC and BLD, every episode is enjoyable and leaves listeners wanting more. Despite its infrequent updates, this podcast truly stands out as a great source of entertainment within the cubing community.
