Vi startar i ett kritiskt ögonblick - just som Carlton snurrar runt till ljudet av en hane som spänns, därefter utkristalliserar sig nya, kritiska ögonblick. Alla med livhanken som insats. En dold stad under benkorallen får också äntligen visa en glimt av sitt gyllene, livsfarliga ansikte. Någon vaknar, någon sommar, någon strävar - och någon kämpar emot. Någon dör och någon får nytt liv. Kärleken, som alltid funnits där, får ett nytt ansikte. Hatet - som också alltid vilat där, stärks igen. Några hesa måsar råkade också följa med ner i Interversum under avsnittets andra hälft, ber om ursäkt för det, men det är ju alltid en risk när man rollspelar irl under sommarmånaderna! :) Välkomna till avsnitt 38, som är det näst näst sista ever! Hej vänner! Del 2:3 i resan som våra hjältar företar sig 1926-1946; Det underjordiska slottet. Carlton lämnar Boston 1926 som en kork på öppet hav. 20 år leder honom, via Great Falls, längs USA's östkust, med oddjobs och tillfälliga rastplatser som formel, till att slutligen landa i Lake City, där han köper ett litet motell. Där mottar han också ett brev från Lena Winthers, som nästan desperat vill återknyta - och Carlton svarar ja. Samtidigt kämpar han med sin onyktra tvilling, som inte bara ständigt sätter honom i klistret, utan också hånfullt skryter om det i brev. Brev som Carlton både skriver till sig själv. och förvånat också finner dagen efter. Han börjar ånyo att rota i det gamla fallet med den försvunne konstnären - det enda som inte fick sin resolution 1926. Ett livstecken från Madame Z ger hopp, men också trådar som leder vidare. Färden för honom söder om North Naples, där han också tvingas till att bli en mördare, för att kunna överleva själv. Han återvänder skakad efter sitt besök till New Jerusalem, bara för att vakna med doften av rök i näsborrarna. I kvällens avsnitt får vi följa Elisabeth, eller Obdiach som hon numera kallas, i sin hårda och ofta våldsamma kamp med sin tillhörighet, i stammen, eller kanske rentav någonstans långt ovanför deras huvuden. Vi möter också “Den puckelryggige jägaren”. Te-Fahn, Bambuprinsen, har tystnat ända sedan det att Elisabeth fick i sig något av “Tidsmaskinen”. En dekokt som Cyrus och Noah Summers en gång tillredde i syfte att både behålla en persons nuvarande ålder, men också få tiden att gå. För någon vars livslängd med en hårsmån understiger året för en Öppnelse, blir en sådan dekokt väldigt värdefull. För en som förgiftats med galenskapens sjö kan “Tidsmaskinen” få ett stormigt hav att åter få en blank yta. Vi återvänder också till Sally, som desperat söker återfinna en vardaglig rutin, trots att saknaden efter Elisabeth tär på henne. Hon byter stad bara för att finna det hon alltid sökt, men till vilket pris? Därtill åser vi Carlton, som just blivit en familj rikare, men också sina tillgångar fattigare. Händelserna söder om North Naples fortsätter också att ansätta honom, alltsom både de inducerade minnena och en allmän känsla av ångest driver honom djupare in i dåtiden. Någonting där förtjänar sin resolution. Smaklig spis! /PodCon

Domingo Loves his wife Lori Sauceda of 26 years and his family and friends. He works with his Dog Brave a Dutch Shepherd in Search and Rescue training in Air Scent, Trailing and Water HRD. They train every day so that they are prepared to help law enforcement and the public in finding the lost and missing to return them to their families.Second, we hear from Eric Darling. Eric is a member of Regional Task Force 7 with Ventura County Fire Department through their Urban Search & Rescue Task Force as a Canine Search Specialist. Cat retired in July from North Carolina State University, where she taught a variety of creative nonfiction, editing, and science journalism classes.She blames her former dog, Solo, for her book, What the Dog Knows. He became her homework when they began training as a cadaver dog team. She is still learning about the world of scent-detection dogs.She and her husband, David, live with a young German Shepherd, Rev, who is just starting in scent detection work. They love gardening, cooking, bread baking—and of course, living and working with dogs.What the Dog Knows and its reimagined Young Readers Edition are her first, but not the last of her nonacademic books. She is currently working on a novel, which she finds incredibly immersive. Tom has certified dogs in area, trailing, HRD, and evidence and he and his dogs have passed more than 45 national level certifications. He is currently in training with his sixth SAR dog.Active in K9 SAR for 27 years, Tom has participated in over 150 searches, about 2000 hours formal instruction in NIMS, SAR, ICS, Arctic survival, human tracking, dog training (scent theory, air scenting, disaster, first responder, trailing, cadaver, water search, and evidence). Tom was a NASAR Lead Evaluator and NSDA Principal Evaluator qualified to administer tests in area, trailing, land HRD, and water HRD, an INBTI trailing instructor, and NASAR SAR Tech II qualified searcher.Tom and his dogs have performed searches conducted on behalf of the FBI, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and for various state and local agencies. Roy Pescador is the NSDA President and has been involved in Ground SAR and as a K9 Handler in the USA and Canada. He currently deploys a K9 named Friday in multiple disciplines. He is currently a GSAR member, Deputy Training Officer and a Board member with South Fraser in British Columbia. Roy has experience in various aspects of SAR including mountain and swift water rescue. He teaches K9 Seminars and workshops, trains handlers and consults with teams regularly. Roy's background is in scientific research involving electron microscopy. He has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals for techniques/protocol development, Alzheimer's research, molecular biology, virology and cellular biology. Roy is also a current Program Manager for Canines for Care.Joe Stacks is the NSDA Vice president. He and K9 partner Maddie are former members of the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Volunteer SAR Team in Bend, Oregon. Joe has recently joined the Mt. Rainier Nordic Patrol Team in Washington State. K9 Maddie is an 9-1/2 year old Border Collie, and is certified in Avalanche and Area Search II, with extensive HRD training.Prior to joining SAR, Joe spent 42 years in the Nuclear Power Field which included 6 years in the U.S. Navy serving on board a Nuclear Powered Polaris Missile Submarine in the Pacific Fleet. His civilian Nuclear career was primarily engineering, but also included collateral duties as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) which trained for and was activated during declared Nuclear events.Joe has served in various National leadership positions throughout his professional career involving Nuclear safety, in SAR as the K9 Team Coordinator, and as well in other volunteer organizations, such as USA Hockey. Joe loves spending time in the wilderness with his family, and is a Mountain Ski Ambassador at Oregon's Mt. Bachelor.
