October is Mental Health, Domestic Violence, and Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we are having a conversation to discuss it all. Highlighting some stats surrounding these topics: 1. 1 in 6 men and 1 in 4 women will be a victim of domestic abuse in their lifetime. 2. 1 in 3 teens experience violence while dating. 3. Breast Cancer most commonly affects women over the age 40. 4. About 1 in 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime (Approx 13%) 5. Mental Health facts: 1 in 5 adults experience mental illnesses. 6. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for people ages 10-34. Practical Applications: 1. Stay routine with your checkups. 2.
