Full confession, I'm a deep house DJ but I like pushing the boundaries when it comes to friends! For Amhad this year, I downloaded about 20 Persian tracks assuming there would be 2 other Persian DJs but the weather was bad and so I played a full 5 hours of what little 6&8 and even though it was out of my comfort zone, I haven't seen a crowd dance and sing that hard in a LONG time! What's it like to be the opener? It's great because you get the room ALL to yourself! LOL. I was tired and beat, but this gig was the best of them all. I got to play to a packed house at Audio SF on May 18th, 2019. All my favorite people were there and most of the mixes were tolerable! This is my opening set before Armen Miran and Bedouin. Since it was Thanksgiving weekend, we didn't expect much of a turnout but we got a last minute surge of ticket sales and had to open the upstairs loft!
