Send us Fan MailSo many people are trying to work their way to Heaven. So much effort. So much trying. And so much frustration. Yet, God has made a way for anyone who desires to get there. And not only that, you can live with the certainty of getting there as well all the days of your life. Jesus said His Kingdom was like a treasure hid in a field and a pearl of great value. when men discovered them, they sold all they had in order to buy them. That's because they surpassed anything they had before.Whether you know it or not, this is what you re looking for. You are looking for the treasure, Jesus Christ. And when you find Him, you will discover this is better than anything you ever had before.
Send us Fan MailEverything about life is temporal except one thing, what follows this life. From this life we step into eternity and that goes on forever and ever. The good news is we can live with a confident expectation of Heaven. Sadly most people in the world have put the pressure on themselves to make themselves worthy to enter.Thousands of religions all over the world have people working toward a happy eternity. But all those ideas cannot be right when they all differ. Thankfully, God told us how we can get there with very little effort. This is part one on living with the expectation of Heaven. Please share it with anyone you think may be searching for hope.
Sermon by Randy Akl
What will it feel like to see Jesus—truly see Him—for the very first time? In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef shares the true account of William Montague Dyke, a blind man who longed to see his bride's face. After a risky surgery, he asked that his bandages be removed at the altar so his first sight would be her coming down the aisle. When he finally saw her, he whispered, “At last.” Dr. Youssef points to a far greater moment awaiting every believer: in heaven we won't first see the bride—we will see the Bridegroom. All our lives we've seen “through a glass darkly,” but the day is coming when we will behold Jesus face to face—and John tells us we will be transformed in that moment: “We shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is” (1 John 3:2). The hope of Christ's return is a comfort to those who love Him and long for His appearing, but it is also a warning—and an invitation—to those who have not yet received Him. Jesus' promise still stands: “Yes, I am coming soon” (Revelation 22:20). Don't delay. Receive Him now—and He will receive you into heaven. Prayer: Jesus, may my love for You ever deepen as I understand the magnitude of my sin and the overwhelming redemptive power of Your love. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lambhas come, and his bridehas made herself ready” (Revelation 19:7). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Message preached by Pastor Daren Downs on Sunday, April 19, 2026 PM.
What comes to your mind when you think about heaven? Is it the picture we often see in children's books or comic strips, where people float on clouds and strum harps for eternity? Is that really heaven? And honestly, does that even sound appealing?Or maybe you imagine heaven as a kind of dream world, a place where all your favorite hobbies and pastimes exist forever. An endless stretch of time doing the things you enjoy most. Or perhaps it's something you simply can't imagine at all. Our culture tries to paint a picture of heaven, but often those images fall far short of what the Bible actually says. So what is the truth? What will heaven really be like? Who will be there?Let's open God's Word and find out as Gene Appel, Senior Pastor of Eastside Christian Church in Anaheim, California, takes a deeper look at the realities of heaven. The final colour. The yellow bead. Heaven. We begin with Soul Revival's vision week, where Stu outlines Soul Revival Church's vision for 2026: a church that proudly calls itself "boring" because all it's doing is putting into practice a textbook written 2,000 years ago about a bloke called Jesus. The vision: Jesus Changes Everything. And the mission? Share the truth and love of Jesus with everyone, everywhere.Cicadas live underground for seven years, surviving in darkness, sucking sap from tree roots. Then one day they dig up, emerge into blinding light, crawl up a tree, shed their chrysalis, grow wings, and fly. And they wee. Out of pure joy. That's what becoming a Christian is like. You don't have to keep stumbling in the dark of your own sin. Jesus is the light who shows the way back to God.But here's Stu's challenge: don't go back in the hole. Sin is sweet for a season. It's enticing, but it doesn't last.Stu gets honest about why people leave the church—better friendships outside than inside, taking church for granted, or the world being too attractive. The yellow bead is our hope of eternal life. Revelation 21 paints the picture: no more death, mourning, crying, or pain. God dwelling with His people forever. A new heaven and new earth where the glory of God is the light. It's not about what we do but who we're with. Jesus. Because of Him, God adopts us as His children. We belong to a new family. Eternal life is secured forever by the Holy Spirit.Stu closes with the simplest question: How are you with your friendship with Jesus? If you've been wondering whether you still want to hang out with Him, Jesus' response is, "I never left you. I'm always here. And I love you."Scripture: Revelation 21Speaker: Stu Crawshaw Series: Colours of Life

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. In a world filled with uncertainty, many people wonder what comes next. Pain, loss, and change reminds us how temporary this life can be. But for those who trust in Christ, the Bible offers a powerful promise. In Isaiah 65:17, the Lord says, “I will create a new heaven and a new earth.” God is preparing something far greater than anything we experience here. For believers, Heaven is not wishful thinking. It is a certain hope secured by Jesus Christ. Through His death on the cross, our sin was fully paid for, and eternal life was made possible. Because Jesus lives, those who trust in Him can face the future with confidence, knowing that after this life ends, Heaven awaits. This hope is too important to keep to ourselves. Every person will spend eternity somewhere, and God calls us to share the Gospel so others possess the same hope we have. For help, visit sharelife.today.
Hebrews 11 enables us to have an eternal perspective as we consider the relationships we enjoy throughout this life.

When tragedy strikes, adults struggle to make sense of it, but for children, the confusion and pain can feel overwhelming. In this deeply moving episode, Annie F. Downs sits down with Drs. Zach & Tim Clinton to talk about the story behind her new children’s book, Where Did TJ Go?, written after her family experienced the heartbreaking loss of her nephew, TJ. Together, they explore what it means to grieve honestly, talk to children about death and heaven, and embrace the kind of compassion that “suffers with.” Annie shares powerful insights on how to navigate the messiness of grief, the healing power of presence, and the truth that while loss changes everything, the hope of eternity changes how we see it. Whether you’re a parent, pastor, counselor, or simply someone walking through loss, this episode offers space for your sorrow and points your heart toward the unshakable hope we have in Christ. “Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.” (Romans 15:4 NLT) You will not find the hope that you need in people or things. You will not find it in a politician or political cause, no matter which side of the aisle you’re on. You will not find it in technology or science or in a relationship or in an accomplishment. Job 8:13–15 says, “The hopes of the godless evaporate. Their confidence hangs by a thread. They are leaning on a spider’s web. They cling to their home for security, but it won’t last. They try to hold it tight, but it will not endure” (NLT). In contrast, Psalm 42:5 says, “Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God!” (NLT). This is the hope that gives us the strength to go on in life. This hope is not wishful thinking or blind optimism. It is quiet confidence. It is a supernatural certainty. We find this hope in the pages of Scripture. True and lasting hope comes from God and His Word. The apostle Paul wrote, “Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled” (Romans 15:4 NLT). Psalm 119:114 says, “You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope” (NLT). So, if hope seems in short supply in your life, you can replenish it by spending time in God’s Word. There will be times when you need to replenish because things don’t always work out well in this life. Not all marriages survive. Not all prodigal children return. Not all medical tests have benign results. Not all crises end happily. That’s when you need to embrace the reality that whatever happens in this life, be it wonderful or painful, is only temporary. We make so much of this life because it’s the only one we’ve known. But it comes and goes rather quickly. First Chronicles 29:15 says, “We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace” (NLT). Heaven—our ultimate hope—is forever. In Heaven, God will right all wrongs. He will answer all questions. He will ease all pain. He will replace our tears with laughter and joy. In Heaven, our losses will be more than compensated for. That’s why Paul wrote, “Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth” (Colossians 3:1–2 NLT). Heaven is where our ultimate hope is found, so Heaven is where our thoughts should be when we struggle here on earth.
