John Murabyo's message emphasises the importance of standing strong through life's storms, drawing from Romans 12:1-3. He stresses that everyone, regardless of their status or background, will face challenges. The core of his message is to encourage people not to be changed by these difficulties but to stand firm and transform their circumstances instead. Murabyo uses the analogy of a carrot, an egg, and a teabag in boiling water to illustrate different responses to adversity. The carrot becomes soft, symbolising people who weaken under pressure. The egg hardens, representing those who become bitter and unyielding. The teabag, however, transforms the water, signifying individuals who, despite being small or seemingly insignificant, influence and change their environment positively. He urges people to be like the teabag, not allowing the world to alter their core values but instead making a positive impact on the world around them. He draws a parallel to Jesus Christ, who, despite facing immense trials and crucifixion, remained steadfast and ultimately transformed the world. He concludes with a call to embrace unity, support one another, and draw strength from Jesus to withstand and transform through life's storms. Listen today!
Trust is the cornerstone of love, connecting us deeply to God and others, and empowering us to become our best selves. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 13:7, trust liberates us from isolation, as seen in God's unwavering trust in imperfect people throughout the Bible. This divine trust inspires us to trust others, bringing out their best and fostering growth. Embracing trusting love means believing the best in people, persisting through failures, and finding peace and fulfilment in God's perfect plans, ultimately leading to a life filled with joy and meaningful connections.
Steven's sermon on hope focuses on various aspects of biblical hope and its significance in daily life. He begins by exploring passages from Isaiah and Joshua, highlighting that hope is more than a mere wish; it is a confident belief in the unseen, as emphasised in Hebrews 11:1. He shares personal anecdotes and biblical examples to illustrate how hope is present in everyday situations. Steven concludes by discussing the importance of reflecting on God's past interventions in our lives to strengthen our hope and avoid stumbling blocks like fear, distractions from social media, and neglecting time spent in God's word.
"Love always protects" reflects Gods character and the apostle Paul's description of the qualities of real love. But in this world of suffering and wars and poverty it can often be difficult to believe it. This message can help us gain confidence in this promise of God as we recognise that God has always promised His people He would fight our battles, give us victory over our enemies and watch over us with compassion and concern. Looking at the names of God and recognising the age we are in, where the fullness of God's will is yet not done on earth shows us we are still in a battle. Jesus taught his disciples that His name has power to overcome the enemies we face and how we can still run into this strong tower to be saved.
The Most Excellent Way - Love Keeps No Record Of Wrongs | 28.04.2024 by The Vine Church - Dunfermline
Christian Sunday service in Vine Church, Dunfermline Scotland.
In his sermon titled "Love is Honouring," Aaron highlighted the transformative power of honouring others, showcasing how small acts of kindness can deeply influence our lives. Drawing from personal experiences, he illustrated how feeling honoured can uplift, inspire, and bring joy, emphasising the profound impact of love and respect in our interactions. Aaron also touched upon the parable of the prodigal son, underlining how honour brings hope and love to those who feel rejected and despised. He pointed out how the father in the story honoured his son, who had dishonoured him by squandering his inheritance, teaching us to honour those who return to us despite having dishonoured us. Furthermore, Aaron stressed that Jesus, our ultimate example, never displayed improper or rude conduct, teaching us to show courtesy in all our interactions, whether in person or through electronic communication. Let us listen and learn today, embracing the power of honour in our lives and relationships.
Marco Palmer spoke on the subject of SLOW TO ANGER from 1 CORINTHIANS 13 or the Love Chapter. He used a comedy video about a quick tempered substitute teacher named Mr Garvy before talking about the high standards of handling anger in a godly manner as spoken about through-out Scripture - God is described as SLOW TO ANGER throughout the Bible and therefore we are to be slow to anger in reflection of the character of God. To illustrate this point Marco used the story of Methuselah from Genesis Chapter 5. His name in Hebrew means "When he dies judgment will be sent" and so the longest living human ever according to Scripture was also a prophetic warning and so God slowly waited for 969 years before sending the flood that destroyed all life on Earth apart from Noah, his family and the creatures on the ark. The next illustration was of Moses losing his temper at the second water from the rock miracle. Paul (who wrote the love chapter) became angry when he went to Athens and saw all the idols. However he was able to harness that anger for good, and preach the Gospel of Christ to the people of Athens. Lastly Christ was used as an example; instead of lashing out in anger at those crucifying him he was led like a lamb to the slaughter that was silent before his shearers. God's perfect anger and perfect love collide at the cross of Christ. The Cross is a a picture of both God's love and God's anger.

And its the formation, transformation and conformation to become like Christ through His Spirit that remarkably achieves this mission. Listen in to hear how a man called Simeon sets us an example of what it means to hold the whole world in your hands. And get ready for our forthcoming teaching series on Gods love.
Mel shares how she felt God impress the words "radical shift" and "pursue" on her heart, for the year of 2024 and she emphasises how these words can be applied to each of our lives. She reflects on the disciples heart of pursuit for following Jesus in Mark 4, even though they did not understand the full picture and encourages us to be of that mindset too. In addition, she focusses on a question asked by the disciples on how to pray and gives us three essential ingredients to successful prayer: Presence, Heart and Trust. She encourages us to have genuine, heart-to-heart communication with our Heavenly Father. Listen to Mel's wonderful, heartfelt message today and be blessed.
Because we have a free will to choose right from wrong, the coming Anti-Christ is a form of judgment on an unbelieving world that has rejected Christ as king and therefore gets the king they deserve. We as believers in Christ are not meant to be scared but prepared and this is a time to get busy and bring in souls before all this happens.

We took a look at Mary the Mother of Christ trying to discover some new things about her that people might not know; eg. the meaning of her name. She was actually called Mirriam - the same name as the sister of Moses and the name means bitter. We looked at the Waters of Marah Story and the waters were called Marah because they were bitter. Moses was commanded to throw a piece of wood/or tree in some translations into the waters and they were cured of their bitterness. This foreshadows how the cross of Calvary can make a bitter poison dead heart and make it new. Mirriam the sister of Moses was born into the bitterness of slavery and was delivered into freedom. Mary the Mother of Christ was promised by Simeon that she would have the bitter experience of a sword piercing her heart and yet her obedience in giving birth to Christ would bring millions out of the bitterness of slavery to sin. We then looked at the fact that there are two women in Scripture - that it was said of them: "Blessed are you above Women!" The second woman is well known and the story is told at Christmas time every year when Mary is hailed as Blessed among women. The first however is quite surprising. It was Jael from Judges Chapter 4. She is called blessed among women for driving a tent peg through the head of Sisera, the general of the enemy Army that was attacking and oppressing Israel. that is a very strange pairing in Scripture Mary and Jael. What do they have in common? Why would they both be called Blessed Among Women! Mary gave birth to the one who would fulfil the prophecy of Genesis 3:15 that the seed of the woman would crush the serpent's head. Sisera, Goliath, Jezebel as seeds or offspring of the serpent will have their heads crushed and the stories of the defeat of these villains foreshadow and then culminate in Christ utterly defeating all his enemies including death itself. Even the future beast from the sea, the Anti-Christ or Instead of Christ will suffer a seemingly fatal head wound that he recovers from in an instead of resurrection. Of course when Christ returns the beast and false prophet and ultimately Satan are thrown into the lake of fire. The pairing of Mary and Jael in Scripture is what Christmas Head Crackers was about!
The TABERNACLE that GOD commanded MOSES to build with very precise instructions (including an outer layer of what many Bible scholars believe to be porpoise skin or some other kind of marine mammal) - Everything about the tabernacle in some way represents CHRIST. We will be exploring how that outer layer of porpoise skin on the tabernacle represents Christ.
"Be of good cheer," you say, when we are surrounded by a deluge of troubles! Am I the only head scratcher when I read such verses sometimes? But hey, all through the best-selling book, God reveals how to bring every dead bone moment into one that's bursting with life. There are two items on life's menu every single day, like magnets pulling up your chair at the table: pity party or praise party. And we get to choose, along with some secret sauce. In my message, we see in God's word the miracle sauce that turns every worst-case scenario into YOUR VERY BEST CASE SCENARIO.
In a world filled with turmoil and constant challenges, we all long for a sense of inner peace and rest. Join us on a journey as we explore the incredible privilege of being hosts of God's presence in our lives and how it leads to deep rest. We delve into the story of Moses meeting with God on Mount Sinai, where God's presence was vital for the survival of His people. We discover that God's promise to Moses, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest," extends to us through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. This presence of God is the key to finding rest, just as King David knew when he declared, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." His presence and rest are intimately linked, providing strength, hope, healing, and comfort in our lives. We see the fulfillment of God's promise through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, as prophesied by Joel and experienced by the early Christians. Now, God's presence dwells within us, making us temples of the Holy Spirit. To better host God's presence and experience deep rest, we explore practical steps like a life of worship, prayer, awareness of His presence, and living in unity and community. Ultimately, as we embrace His presence, we become agents of change, spreading a kingdom culture wherever we go. Join us on this journey to discover how hosting God's presence leads to deep rest and transforms our lives. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and share this message with those seeking rest and peace in a troubled world.
