BETTER WAYS TO DATE Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by ALL, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. (NIV) 1. HONORING MARRIAGE MEANS, DON’T TREAT SOMETHING HOLY LIKE SOMETHING CASUAL Matthew 19:4–6 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’  5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” (NIV) 2. HONORING MARRIAGE MEANS YOU FOLLOW CHRIST’S STANDARD, NOT CULTURE'S SCRIPT 3. HONORING MARRIAGE MEANS YOU DON'T ACT MARRIED BEFORE YOU ARE MARRIED Matthew 19:4–6 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” (NIV) 3A. LEAVING HAPPENS AFTER MARRIAGE 3B. HONORING MARRIAGE MEANS YOU DATE TO PROTECT, NOT TO PRESSURE 1 Corinthians 13:4–7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not DISHONOR others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always PROTECTS, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Executives Get Reached Through the People Around Them, and BlackCloak Protects That Whole Circle | A Black Hat USA 2026 Recap with Dr. Chris Pierson, Founder and CEO at BlackCloak | Hosted by Sean Martin and Marco Ciappelli

An attacker who wants to reach an executive often goes through the people around them. Family members, assistants, advisors, and caregivers all carry access and standing, and none of them sit inside the corporate directory. Dr. Chris Pierson, Founder and CEO of BlackCloak, describes digital executive protection as work that comes down to an individual and the circle around that individual. What does BlackCloak actually protect? Corporate executives, boards, the C-suite, and their families, across privacy, personal cybersecurity, home network security, deepfake impersonation, and travel. Dr. Chris Pierson frames impersonation protection and deepfake protection as an answer to someone pretending to be a human being in order to swindle, defraud, or take advantage of a persona. The control point sits with the person rather than the message. What did security teams want to talk about at Black Hat this year? Specifics. Dr. Chris Pierson says the excitement around AI and agentic AI arrived with a demand to dig in and actually talk about it. He recalls standing nearby while BlackCloak SVP of Product Matt Covington explained how the company uses engines, as opposed to the marketing language circulating elsewhere. Two more patterns came through. People want a real relationship with the team behind a product rather than something they plug in and hook up, and Dr. Chris Pierson points to a community at Black Hat that he says has built up considerably over the past four years or so. People also want net new. Version nine of a familiar firewall is becoming a little less exciting, he says, and the sales engineers spent their time on the additive items instead. BlackCloak appears on the 2026 Inc. 5000 for a second consecutive year, and earlier in 2026 it was named to Inc.'s Best Workplaces list in the Security Industry category, also for a second year. Dr. Chris Pierson credits the roughly 150 Cloakers based in the US, the company's own word for its team members, for both. The data matters, the hardware matters, the platform matters, and at the end of it someone clicks, someone allows access, someone does something. That last step is where BlackCloak places its protection. This is a Black Hat USA 2026 Recap. It is a post-event conversation revisiting the week on the ground, putting a spotlight on the guest and their company and pairing it with the editorial reach of ITSPmagazine. M. Duane Miller likes where college football is headed. He also sees how exposed players can be when contracts, taxes, coaching changes, injuries, and short careers collide. The Texas NIL Lawyer and former University of Texas football co-captain joins Eric Kasimov to ask a direct question: who protects college athletes? They discuss NIL contracts, taxes and 1099s, recruiting decisions, reported NIL valuations, the College Sports Commission, and the possibility of a college players association.Duane's central advice is to build the athlete's team early and never sign an agreement without the right professional reviewing it. This episode is about what happens after the spiritual underworld. About the woman who went down, took on the lessons nobody up the line was willing to take on, and came back up carrying something. And about what she is supposed to do with it.The Vessel is open. A year of live, personal work building the structure your family draws from — the membership, the income, and the portion of it that is left to compound.→ Come and see The VesselI saw a quote — I didn't build this for me, I built this so that you can breathe. There has been a lot of noise lately about parents who keep providing for their adult children, and a lot of disdain aimed at them. What I hear underneath that disdain is survival. A parent who has run out of energy will always find a reason why the running out was necessary — it made me stronger, it will make them stronger — and will call the exhaustion a virtue.I don't agree with it. If you have been down into the Spiritual Underworld, if you know what it is to be unable to breathe, you would never wish that on anyone, least of all the people who came out of your own body. The excuse dressed as a lesson. I had to do it, so you should have to do it too. Where that comes from, and why it is a lower form of consciousness rather than a moral position. The alchemical marriage. The animus rising as provider and protector — and why a woman with her inner masculine activated will simply not tolerate the idea of her children being sent out into the world with nothing. Why survival closes the portal. A woman forced into toxic masculine energy, pulling her weight, giving and giving and giving, no longer has access to the divine. And she is the one who was meant to hold the vision for everybody. Her family contracts instead of expanding, and nobody understands why.Energy that doesn't run out. The difference between the mother who is burnt out by eighteen and the mother whose children can lean on her strength at forty. It isn't temperament. It's whether the inner masculine is awake. The shaman and the village. Not everyone has to go down. One goes down and comes back wise, and the rest are spared. If you are listening to this podcast, it was probably you. Which means it is now your job to keep the others out of it.Your future selves are your children too. The woman at fifty, sixty, eighty, a hundred — she is another grown child you are responsible for. She either thanks you for what you did now, or she inherits your suffering because you unconsciously handed it forward. What the structure actually is. You gather your community around something you love. They pay you for it. You live on part of it and pour the rest into a vessel that compounds, quietly, for years — until the structure is stronger than you are. Your energy declines with age. The structure does not.Two generations down. Providing for your children and your grandchildren, through wisdom and experience they don't have yet and you do.I didn't build this for me. I built this so that you can breathe.Only one person needs to do the suffering for the family. If they do it properly, the rest get to enjoy that. When you go into the spiritual underworld, you come out as a provider and a protector. You have access to such superpower energy within you, beyond what seems reasonably normal. It's the same thing as lifting a car off your child.Your energy is declining. And yet the structure is getting stronger and stronger and stronger. The Vessel is where this gets built. Not the philosophy of it — the actual thing. A membership of a few hundred people gathered around something you genuinely love, priced so that a significant portion of what comes in can be set aside and left to compound. Built quickly, in the first weeks. Held for a year while it takes root.It is one structure, built once, that your future selves and your children and their children can draw from — so that nobody else in your bloodline has to go down there and learn what you learned.→ The Vessel

David Daoud explains Iran is currently leveraging negotiations with the U.S. to secure a ceasefire that protects Hezbollah from further Israeli military pressure while allowing the group to rebuild. Critics argue that U.S. security assistance to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) is a poor investment, as the LAF lacks the political will to disarm Hezbollah within its own borders. While a fragile ceasefire has shifted active war toward localized "policing operations" and skirmishes, Hezbollah explicitly rejects any linkage between an Israeli withdrawal and its own disarmament. The Trump administration is reportedly prioritizing "quiet" in Lebanon, which has forced Israeli forces into a more reactive posture. (4)

Hundreds of thousands of people are taken captive, and the remaining rulers of Judah are beheaded and trampled. Jeremiah, however, is spared from the Babylonians, and is given a choice to go to Babylon and live comfortably, or remain with his people. This story is inspired by 2 Chronicles 36:15-21 & 2 Kings 25:3-21 & Jeremiah 32, 33, 38, 39, 40:1-6, 52. But this was about more than relieving his uncle of a burden, it was God's way of showing the people what He would do for them. So Jeremiah continued to preach the Word of God to the people and he continued to receive beatings from them. One day, he was summoned by King Zedekiah to give him the truth of the situation and though he spoke honestly to the King, he did not follow Jeremiah's advice. Welcome to the Leading Edge in Emotionally Focused Therapy, hosted by Drs. James Hawkins, Ph.D., LPC, and Ryan Rana, Ph.D., LMFT, LPC—Renowned ICEEFT Therapists, Supervisors, and Trainers. We're thrilled to have you with us. We believe this podcast, a valuable resource, will empower you to push the boundaries in your work, helping individuals and couples connect more deeply with themselves and each other. In this episode of The Leading Edge in EFT, James Hawkins and Ryan Reyna tackle one of the trickiest tensions in therapy: how to work with distortion and meaning-making without gaslighting your client—especially tender pursuers and highly protected withdrawers. Using a vivid “watermelon vs. hot sauce” metaphor, they unpack what happens when one partner intends care, but the other receives danger. They explore why the brain distorts on purpose in the name of survival, how to keep honoring the client's emotional reality, and how to redirect blame away from partners and back to the negative cycle as the true enemy. You'll hear a powerful reframe that replaces the potentially invalidating, “What's the story you're telling yourself?” with a cleaner, safer question: “When you see Trigger X, what message does the cycle send to you about how your partner sees you?” James and Ryan apply this lens not just to couples, but also to race, marginalization, and societal conversations, illustrating how attempts to “correct the facts” can land as gaslighting when bodies are carrying generations of threat. They share moving examples of Stage 2 and Stage 3 work where partners begin catching and correcting the cycle on their own—creating “cycle killer” moments that change everything. If you're an EFT therapist, trauma-informed clinician, or a partner trying to understand your own reactions, this episode will help you honor emotion, respect meaning-making, and still gently face distortion—without shaming or silencing anyone. Top Takeaways  “Distortion” in EFT ≠ Fake or Irrational Emotion Emotions are never irrational; they always make sense in context. What may be “distorted” is the meaning-making or thinking, not the feeling. Watermelon vs. Hot Sauce Metaphor One partner offers something meant to be sweet and refreshing (watermelon). The other experiences it as danger or attack (hot sauce). This gap often comes from old injuries, expectations of being hurt, and the cycle, not badness in either partner. Why “What's the Story You Tell Yourself?” Can Feel Like Gaslighting Although poetic, it can land as, “This is just in your head; you're making it up.” For pursuers especially, this repeats a long history of being told they're “too much” or “misreading reality.” A Safer, Cleaner Clinical Question Instead of: “What's the story you're telling yourself?” Use: “When you see Trigger X, what message does the cycle send to you about how your partner sees you?” This question: Honors the client's internal world and logic. Externalizes the problem to the cycle, not the partner. Protects both partners from blame and shame. The Cycle as the Real Distorter The negative cycle becomes the “third entity” that scrambles messages. Seeing the cycle as the enemy helps the therapist stay out of the triangle and helps partners fight the cycle, not each other. Expected Pain Is Real Pain (Jim Coan's Research) The brain responds to anticipated threat almost as if it already happened. So even if words are technically “distorted,” the body's reaction is real and valid. The limbic system amplifies signals to protect, not to be dramatic. Clinical Target: Lean Into Pain, Not Cognitive Correction If you pivot too fast to “self-reflection” or cognitive reframe, you may move away from the raw pain where the best enactments live. Staying with the pain supports deeper Stage 2 work and more powerful enactments. Personal vs. Clinical Use of Self-Reflection Personally, it's healthy to ask, “Is this really what they meant, or is this my story?” Clinically, putting that question on the client too soon can feel invalidating and gaslighting. Application to Race, Marginalization, and Power When someone names patterns of racism or marginalization, responding only with “facts” and statistics often lands as, “You're crazy; that's not real.” Bodies encode generational and societal cycles, so their threat response has good reasons. Saying, “I can see good reasons your brain codes it this way,” is deeply regulating and dignifying. Stage 2 & Stage 3: “Cycle Killer” Moments In de-escalated couples, partners begin to say things like: “This might be my stuff coming up, but here's what happens for me…” “You don't have to put that part of you away—let's make space for your fear and my optimism.” These are Stage 3 moments where partners catch and correct the cycle themselves—sometimes without therapist intervention. Therapist Posture: Genuine Blame on the Cycle Effective EFT therapists truly believe that “this is the cycle, not their character.” Repeated exposure to Stage 2/3 couples reshapes the therapist's internal frame, making it easier to hold the externalized cycle under pressure. Therapist Self-Care and Embodiment Therapy is hard on bodies, not just minds. Ryan and James emphasize physical health practices (walking, gym, etc.) as non-optional for therapists. Our bodies are the instrument we bring into the room. From the Couch to the Culture The same principles that de-escalate couples can transform societal conversations—about race, oppression, and power. As Bruce Perry urges, therapists are invited to take what they witness in session and amplify it into the world We aim to equip therapists with practical tools and encouragement for addressing relational distress. Wisdom Calls: Without Wisdom Our Nation Runs on Fumes (Part 6) Wisdom Protects Proverbs 6 Medieval battle strategies used to look vastly different from the ones we rely on today. What has become electronic and invisible in modern warfare was once expressed through shields, helmets, and carefully forged armor. Every piece was crafted by a blacksmith with a specific purpose in mind: to protect the life underneath and keep the danger of the enemy out. In the same way, God has crafted wisdom as a form of protection for His people. Wisdom strengthens our character, shields our path, and keeps out destructive sins that lead to death. God's perfectly fashioned armor was designed not only to preserve who He made us to be, but to guard us from what threatens to destroy us. Join us this Sunday as we seek to know the deep care of our Father, who lovingly equips His people with the protection of wisdom.

“The perimeter no longer exists.” In this Technology Reseller News podcast recorded at ChannelCon 2026, Peter Lekas and Lauren Hextall of SpecterX discuss how organizations can maintain control of sensitive information after it leaves their managed environment. SpecterX is a zero-trust data access platform designed to protect information shared with customers, vendors, partners and other third parties. The platform allows businesses to apply controls that travel with the data, including restrictions on forwarding, copying, pasting and taking screenshots. Traditional security tools protect networks, endpoints and applications that an organization can directly manage. However, businesses increasingly rely on cloud services, SaaS applications and external collaboration, creating multiple locations where sensitive data may reside. “Once that data is shared outside of your organization, you don't know what that person is going to do with it,” the SpecterX team says. Data loss prevention tools may block sensitive information from leaving an organization, but many business processes require that information to be shared. SpecterX is designed to provide continued governance after the transfer takes place. This can be particularly important for organizations sharing regulated information, including healthcare data, intellectual property and documents governed by compliance requirements. For MSPs, SpecterX creates an opportunity to expand beyond endpoint and network protection into data governance, risk and compliance services. Rather than adding another security layer around the environment, the platform protects the data itself. Hextall says MSPs are well positioned to deliver these services because they understand their customers' industries, workflows and business requirements. “This isn't something that can simply be mandated from above,” she says. “You need to understand the workflows of your customers.” Visit SpecterX.com to learn more

The Holy Spirit gives believers hope, peace, and strength to endure life's storms. Romans 15:13 reminds us that God's power is always available, even when we feel weak, overwhelmed, or powerless. Discover how relying on the Holy Spirit helps us navigate hardship, grow in faith, and find lasting hope in every season. Life has a way of reminding us how little control we really have. In today's devotional, Melinda Eye Cooper shares how a devastating winter ice storm and days without electricity became a powerful illustration of our dependence on God. Just as our homes cannot function without power, our spiritual lives cannot thrive apart from the Holy Spirit. Highlights: Discover what Romans 15:13 teaches about the power of the Holy Spirit. Learn why life's storms reveal our need for God's strength and presence. Be encouraged by how the Holy Spirit provides hope, peace, guidance, and comfort. Understand how difficult seasons can deepen your faith and dependence on Christ. Find reassurance that God never leaves you to face hardship alone. Full Transcript Below: No Power By Melinda Eye Cooper Bible Reading: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. - Romans 15:13 NIV Living in middle Tennessee for the past thirty-plus years, I can attest that we rarely see much snow. Schools often close if the forecast calls for anything frozen, including flurries. But we’ve had a few serious winter storms, and they almost always involve ice. In January of 2026, one of those storms came through our area. We did our best to prepare in case the power went out. We’d stocked up on bread, bottles of water, and snacks. My husband brought a generator home from work to help keep our refrigerator running and a small space heater. Thankfully, we had a wood-burning fireplace, so we figured at least we’d keep warm. Snow started turning into sleet on Saturday and eventually turned to freezing rain. Temperatures plummeted. Tree branches snapped under the weight of accumulating ice, falling on power lines. The sky flashed when a transformer blew with a loud pop. Sunday, early in the morning, we lost power, and so did our neighbors. We tried to stay warm using the space heater and fireplace, but our house grew frigid. It was uncomfortable, to say the least. We barely slept the first night, even though we were using nearly every blanket we could find. It didn’t take long for reality to sink in. The power could be out for days or a week. Our neighbors texted the next afternoon that they were heading to Kentucky to stay in a hotel. The storm wasn’t nearly as bad there. We did the same, taking our dog with us. Getting inside a warm hotel room with a nice soft bed was a sweet relief. The lights worked. The television worked. And a hot shower was minutes away. It didn’t take long to get nice and comfortable. When we received notice that power had been restored to our area a couple of days later, we made our way back home. The drive revealed a lot of damage. Even though the thick ice covering trees and grass glistened in the sunlight and was beautiful in a terrible way, the storm mostly left a trail of destruction with downed trees, telephone poles, and broken tree branches in its wake. The storm and loss of power over the next several days (and a couple of weeks for some) caused a lot of problems, and sadly, some folks didn’t survive. We came home to a mess. Electric cords were draped everywhere, from hooking things up to the generator, and blankets were piled up. It was freezing inside the house. The heat was on, but it took a long time for the house to warm back up. Honestly, seeing the mess reminded me just how much we really need power in our homes. We rely on it heavily for day-to-day life. It runs the stove, HVAC unit, refrigerator, freezer, water heater, washer and dryer, lighting, appliances, and television. Almost everything. Even with our great efforts to prepare for a lack of power during the storm, it was still terrible. Our home quickly became uncomfortable without electricity. It seemed we could do nothing. We need power. Standing amidst the mess, it hit me spiritually. We need the Holy Spirit at every moment of our lives. We can’t do anything good without Him; we’d be uncomfortable, cold, and powerless. Intersecting Faith & Life: As a saved person, I’m deeply thankful for what Jesus did for me. I’m still in love with Him after many years as a Christian. But to be honest, I’m just beside myself that God also gave us the indwelling, powerful Holy Spirit to help us in life. He does so many things for us, including: Reveals Jesus Convicts us of sin Teaches us Reminds us Encourages us Protects us Guides us Warns us Gives us hope and spiritual gifts Tells us the truth Helps us pray Never leaves or forsakes us When a storm of life comes, whether it is a financial struggle, divorce, or the death of a loved one, we may be brought to our knees. The powerful Holy Spirit is with us in these hardships. He is our shelter when these storms blow through. Those difficult times show us just how much we need Him and rely on His power. They draw us into a deeper, more trusting relationship with our beloved Father. Father, thank You for giving us the powerful Holy Spirit to lead us through our lives. Helping us to grow closer to You and more like Jesus. In His name, Amen. Discover more Christian podcasts at lifeaudio.com and inquire about advertising opportunities at lifeaudio.com/contact-us.

Parental alienation is a legal emergency, not just heartbreak — and family court is too slow to stop it on its own. Here's how fathers move from venting to evidence with a court-focused, 6-category documentation framework. When a parent starts canceling visits, blocking school and medical access, or quietly rewriting a child's story, the damage becomes "normal" long before a judge ever hears the case. In this briefing we treat alienation as both an emotional crisis and a legal one, and we unpack a real-time split in family law: New Hampshire's HB 1323, which would define parental alienation in statute and force a ruling within 60 days (with remedies like makeup parenting time, custody changes, and attorney's fees), versus Canada's Bill C-223, which would move to ban alienation claims and reunification therapy. We cover the narratives behind both, the peer-reviewed research on long-term harm to kids, and why the data does not support the "junk science" label. Then we bring it home to what you can do this week: a practical documentation system that proves patterns, defends against false claims, and demonstrates your own fitness and flexibility as a dad.In this episode: why speed is alienation's weapon · HB 1323's 60-day rule and its remedies · Bill C-223 and the counter-narrative · what the research really says · the 6-category evidence framework. But there's another side of the equation that receives far less attention:Who protects coaches? This week I'm joined by coach Sophia Parr (@swim.coach.sophie) for one of the most vulnerable conversations we've ever had on The Swim Brief.Sophie shares the story of being removed from a high school coaching position after months of conflict, isolation, and feeling unsupported by leadership. Today, we tackle a story gripping headlines and shaking the political world. Graham Platner—a name now synonymous with scandal, denial, and convenient ignorance. The temptation? To ignore the warning signs. To protect power instead of people. To excuse sin when it serves our side. But we're not here to excuse. We're here to expose the bigger disease: a society that prizes winning over righteousness, victory over virtue. Yes, the cost is real—criticism, outrage, even loss. But Jesus is still King, even when “convenient ignorance” rules the day.The question is simple. When your moment of truth arrives—will you stay silent, or stand up?"Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out." –Proverbs 10:9Episode Highlights19:00 - As followers of Jesus Christ, we don't have the luxury of living by the world's standard of convenient ignorance. We're called to something more, much higher. We're called to pursue truth even when it's uncomfortable. We're called to protect the vulnerable even when it's unpopular. We're called to confront sin even when it costs us something.32:02 - At the end of our lives, I don't believe the Lord is going to ask whether speaking the truth was politically convenient. I believe he'll ask whether we were faithful. And in my opinion, that's a question that every one of us should be preparing to answer today. Not someday, not next month. Today.39:34 - If there's one lesson I hope that every Christian walks away with from today's episode of the C Suite for Christ podcast, it's this: Stop fearing people more than you fear God... That's the root of so many compromises that we see today. People stay silent because they're afraid... but Scripture repeatedly reminds us to reverse that way of thinking. Connect with Paul M. He then presents one of Scripture's most memorable images: the person without self-control is like a city broken down and without walls, vulnerable to every attack. This lesson explores why humility and self-governance are essential to Christian maturity, how daily discipline strengthens the inner life, and why the greatest victories are often won not over others, but over ourselves. July 9, 2026On July 9, 1868, Americans changed the US Constitution for the 14th time, The Fourteenth Amendment brought the principles of the Declaration to life, requiring the Federal government to protect the equal rights of all American men, The Thirteenth Amendment prohibited slavery on the basis of race, but did not guarantee equality for Black Americans, The Fourteenth Amendment took on the Dred Scott v Sandford decision and provided that all persons born or naturalized in the US are citizens of the US, It also overturned the idea that democracy was created at the state level, forbidding states from making laws that were discriminatory, The principles of the Fourteenth Amendment were behind civil rights decisions of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, Opponents objected, and called for “originalism,” an idea promoted by Robert Bork who was nominated to the Supreme Court by Ronald Reagan, Reaction to the nomination recognized the importance of the Fourteenth Amendment to equality.Watch today's recording here: https://www.youtube.com/live/g9TUa1Rwd6U?si=T8_KKcHQZElhpnZ-Get full, free access to Letters from an American here: https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/subscribeYou can also find me:Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/hcrichardson.bsky.socialInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/heathercoxrichardson/?hl=enFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/heathercoxrichardson/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@heathercoxrichardson Get full access to Letters from an American at heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/subscribe
