When Harpinder Chauhan walked into his probation officer's office in Florida, he thought it was just another check-in. Minutes later, he was in handcuffs and detained by ICE. In this episode of Rights and Wrongs, host Ngofeen Mputubwele talks to Harpinder about what it's really like inside U.S. immigration detention— his days spent shackled, sleeping on concrete, and pleading for basic medical care. And he also speaks to an immigration lawyer about the profits and policies that are the driving force behind this cruel and inhumane system. We all carry past hurts, regrets, shame, and offenses—sometimes ones we replay over and over in our minds. In our daily prayer and devotional, Rachael Adams, host of The Love Offering Podcast, vividly recounts a gathering of teenage girls invited to lay down their pains on a cross and symbolically cross them out, illustrating what forgiveness looks like in radical form. God doesn’t just pardon our sins; He erases them, choosing not to keep a record of our offenses. As long as we confess and repent, He separates our wrongdoing from us, remembering them no more. But God’s mercy is not just for our own restored relationship with Him—it’s meant to shape how we treat others. We are called to forgive as He forgave us (Colossians 3:13). Forgiving doesn’t always mean forgetting in the sense of erasing memories. It means removing the debt, letting go of grievances, refusing to hold someone’s past mistakes against them. Liberation comes when we choose grace over bitterness, extending to others what God has extended to us. Bible Reading “As high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”— Psalm 103:10–12 Key Takeaways God’s forgiveness is complete: He removes our transgressions and doesn’t retain them. Forgiveness is a deliberate choice—not forgetting, but no longer holding a debt against another. Our freedom in Christ empowers us to forgive those who have wronged us. Keeping no record of wrongs allows relationships to be renewed and hearts to be healed. Let’s Pray Together Lord, thank You for pardoning me and erasing my sins. Help me accept Your mercy fully and extend that same grace to others. Show me where I hold grudges or keep score of offenses. Give me strength to forgive, to release the record, and to love as You have loved me. In Jesus' name, Amen. Rhule is 2-8 on the road as Nebraska's coach, with wins only at Illinois (20-7, 2023) and at Purdue (28-10, 2024) Otherwise, since 2023, Rhule has lost 7 times in conference play on the road---6 of those as one-score losses (Indiana 2024 the only non-one score game)—and the 36-14 loss at Colorado in 2023. Is improved special teams enough to believe the trend in close games on the road can be flipped? Or QB play/better play calling? What's the scariest sound in a war zone? In Kherson, Ukraine, it isn't artillery or fighter jets—it's the faint buzz of a $200 quadcopter drone. In this episode of Rights & Wrongs, host Ngofeen Mputubwele takes us inside Russia's use of drones to stalk and attack civilians on the front line. Survivors describe the terror of being hunted from above, and Human Rights Watch's Belkis Wille explains how drones are being misused to commit war crimes, what it could mean for civilians in future conflicts —and why we should be responding now. Mike Evans and Brandon Stokley open the second hour with an update on the week of Stoke, he tells us about more of the pampering he’s treating himself to like the massage that’s left him sore this morning. The guys respond to some more “Tell Me Why I’m Wrongs” about the Rockies finally making changes and Justin Herbert’s standing in the AFC. They get some more “Tell Me Why I’m Wrongs” about Jamal Murray before they give us the Mark Schlereth words of the day. They hit the halfway point in 4 Down Territory where they cover mistakes in the red zone, Dan Orlovsky’s expert analysis, and the Hall of Fame candidates.
Mike Evans and Brandon Stokley kick off the third hour with Mark Schlereth getting him involved in a “Tell Me Why I’m Wrong” that’s blaming Sean Payton for the Broncos’ problems. The guys discuss simplifying Sean Payton’s offense before taking on some more “Tell Me Why I’m Wrongs”. Stoke was thinking a lot about the slow start and he’s wondering if it’s actually a good thing for this young team to be humbled. Mike confronts Stoke with a very personal “Tell Me Why I’m Wrong” to wrap up the third hour.
Mike Evans and Brandon Stokley kick off today’s show talking about the Broncos’ Monday night football game as they set up a “Tell Me Why I’m Wrong” Wednesday on a Thursday. They guys let the 6am listeners hear Joel Klatt’s in-depth breakdown on what’s wrong with Bo Nix’s mechanics and why he still believes the Broncos can catch up in the AFC. Mike and Stoke take on some “Tell Me Why I’m Wrongs” comparing Sean Payton to another coach, bagging on Marvin Mims, and power ranking the Raisins’ place in trail mix. The 6am Duo wrap up the first hour giving the 6am listeners a chance to hear Dan Orlovsky’s breakdown of Bo’s footwork and how the Broncos can help their young QB fix it.

Roger and Daniela arrived in the U.S. in January, conditionally approved as refugees. Hours later, she was deported. Roger vanished. When Rights & Wrongs first aired this story in May, it traced how a Venezuelan millennial with no criminal record ended up detained in El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act—a centuries-old wartime law now repurposed for mass deportations. In a stunning twist two months later, the Trump administration brokered a deal: 10 Americans held in Venezuela were exchanged for 252 Venezuelans imprisoned in El Salvador, including Roger. In this update, host Ngofeen Mputubwele recaps Roger's journey and speaks with him about what really happened inside El Salvador's notorious CECOT prison. This week's meditation begins with noticing the tendency to hold on. It sharpens to a more specific inquiry: “I need to hold onto the wrongs done to me and the wrongs I've done to others.” Is that true? The group digs deeper beneath that enticing story that can just seem so factual, like common sense. “Of course I need to hold on! Otherwise how will I make amends? Or get the apologies I deserve?” But what is life like when we hold on to the wrongs we've done and had done to us? And even more fascinating – what would our experience be like if we didn't believe we needed to? There's a powerful shift that takes place with the questioning of these stories in this group. Feel free to join in on your own!
I look into 2 races that didn't happen, a return to PHX and what 2026 will ultimately look like as the schedule is officially released
Dylan's excitement erupts as he shows off his brand new shoes. It's well known that he HATES tying his laces so these new Skechers are really up his alley. The audience bands together to salute him for the good dude he is. We wrap up a very busy week with the Rights& Wrongs. Find out who wins the week!

In this week's podcast I was honoured to join a four-way conversation between Giovanna and Vanessa de Oliveira Andreotti and Tim Logan of Future Learning Design Podcast, to celebrate the publication of Vanessa's new book, Outgrowing Modernity. Vanessa de Oliveira Andreotti is author of Hospicing Modernity: Facing Humanity's Wrongs and the Implications for Social Activism which we have referenced many times on Accidental Gods. She is also Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Victoria in Canada. She is a former Canada Research Chair in Race, Inequalities and Global Change and a former David Lam Chair in Multicultural Education. She is one of the co-founders of the Gesturing Towards Decolonial Futures (GTDF) Arts/Research Collective, is the author of many academic papers and, with Aiden CinnamonTea, is co-author of Burnout From Humans. Most of her published articles and OpEds are available at academia.edu.Her daughter, Giovanna de Oliveira Andreotti, is a Dancer/dance teacher, GTDF member, certified Warm Data Lab host, founder of Rewiring for Reality: Cross Generational Reckoning, and an online course facilitator/co-ordinator. She holds a Bachelor's in Psychology from UBC, postgraduate certifications in Climate Psychology and Embodied Social Justice, and currently coordinates an inquiry that maps pedagogical practices addressing complexity, complicity, collapse, and accountability. This conversation took us deep into the complexity of what it means to be human at this moment when the old order is quite clearly in breakdown. How do we use language? How do we engage with ourselves, each other and the web of life? And what is the web in a world where the first human-created silicon life is co-evolving with us. How do we explore inter and intra-generational responses and capacity for meaning-making in a way that honours everyone, both human and beyond-human? In a world that feels ever more precarious, it was an honour and a delight to be in the company of such bright, deep minds. Thank you to Giovanna, Vanessa and Tim - and I hope you all enjoy this as much as we did.
