If you know you want to earn a great income, you'll want to begin now. Tom also shares a task that we do every month which completely shifted Rachaels relationship with money and allowed Tom & Rachael to make some big goals financially (and actually achieve them.) 2021 was the year of my (mini) professional crisis. There were big decisions to make, and I was feeling deeply confused about the direction I wanted to grow in professionally & with our school. What kind of business (& life) did I want to have? Did I want to blow up my creation? It took me a long time to find a mentor to help me navigate what was right, for me. I wanted someone who worked in deeply embodied ways. Someone who would support me if I decided to throw in the towel & make the decision to destroy my creation. And also someone who was a little bit magic. Somehow (I think it was the power of Instagram) Rachael Maddox entered my life. She'd just closed her own Coaching School down (to begin a conception journey) and was making some radical changes in her business model. She was EMBODIED AF. And supported CEOs. We started working together - and I've loved her since. Recently I spoke with Rachael as part of our The Future Is Embodied Conference. Our conversation was a dive into the ethics of embodied business & how Rachael navigates her work as a witch & mentor. It was such a rich conversation I wanted to bring it to you today, in the hopes you find some “unconventional” courage to follow your path (whatever that is) to the best version of your work in the world. Of course, I didn't close down our school, or decide to blow anything up in the end. Which is what I love so much about EMBODIMENT work. It's an invitation to find YOUR body's truth. Which won't look the same as anyone else. What's right for you won't be right for them. But holding space for ALL the possibilities, even the wild & witchy ones remains something I hold as so valuable. Did you ever notice the red building with the yellow roof across from what was an Applebee's at the Annapolis Mall? Have you ever stopped in? If not, you are missing out. Liquor Mart & Deli (no real online presence) is an amazing Annapolis gem that has been a staple in the area for nearly fifty years! Amy Applestein has worked in the business for decades and with the death of her uncle, Howard Pinski, became the owner. Liquor Mart & Deli has become a neighborhood stop for beer, wine, and spirits. But the draw (at least for me) is the amazing sandwiches. Plentiful, affordable, and oh so good. Roast beef is my go-to, but Amy assures me their egg salad (homemade daily) is a winner as well. Most popular.. their Reubens and Rachaels. Next time you are near the mall, stop in and ay hello. And we also learned something new--I did not realize Mr. Pinski was involved with Liquor Mart & Deli. And with his passing, Amy is also an owner of the AMAZING Ann's Dari Creme in Glen Burnie! This was a blast. A fun episode with a long-time, family-owned business. Have a listen!
Today I'm chatting with one of my oldest friends, Rachael Willey. We have known each other since our young adult single days. We have travelled Europe together, served in Church together and had more laughs than I can count. We've also walked through some really hard times. Rachael shares on this episode, her journey through Infant Loss and the life of her son who was stillborn 10 years ago. I'm so thankful for her friendship but also thankful for the way she shares her story with us so vulnerably today. One line from our conversation “Grieve and keep moving” really resonated with me. I hope you will see the fingerprint of Jesus in Rachaels story even in the midst of such heartache and questioning. Today I'm finding joy with Rachael after Infant Loss. Two part NHS Pensions podcast special. Next week we will be discussing how a recent legal case affects the NHS pension. But before we get into detail next week, we start with a beginners guide to the NHS Pension. We asked Specialist Medical IFA Rachael Hall to give us an overview of the NHS pension. We talk about the differences between the 1995, 2008 and 2015 schemes including accrual rates, lumps sums and other benefits. We answer some listeners questions such as "Can I invest my NHS pension pot ethically" "What are the risks of opting out of the pension scheme?" "What good habits should all doctors practice with regard to their NHS Pension?" Perhaps most importantly we find out why Rachaels partner chose a career in medicine over a life as a superstar DJ. Rachael England a Hygienist who currently works for the FDI World Dental Federation as an Education and Public Health Manager. On todays show we speak about many aspects out of a clinical setting that will certainly leave you thinking about so many other opportunities that you could explore out of a clinical setting today. Rachael is such a remarkable colleague, who I have such admiration for, who has inspired me in many ways to explore further opportunities. You are going to feel so invigorated after this podcast as you gain an insight into how Rachaels career path has evolved. "Rachael England joined the Royal Air Force in 1999 as a Dental Nurse, in 2004 she began training as a Dental Hygienist at the Defence Dental Agency in Aldershot, U.K. Rachael served until 2008, when she relocated to Windsor to work in private practice. In 2013 an opportunity arose to work in Dubai, where Rachael relished the opportunity to join dental public health initiatives and later was accepted as President of Emirates Dental Hygienists Club. During this time, she studied for a Master of Public Health and graduated with Merit in 2018. Following which she felt the need to expand her skills outside of the dental surgery and accepted a role as a Research Dental Hygienist on the British Regional Heart Study, spending six months gathering the dental data of men aged over 75 across the U.K. In February 2019 Rachael joined FDI World Dental Federation as an Education and Public Health Manager. Rachael first visited Kenya in 2015 as a dental volunteer and went on to found the registered charity Maasai Molar (www.maasaimolar.org), who provide dental care and oral health education to communities in the Maasai Mara, Kenya." maasaimolar@gmail.com
In this weeks episode I got to chat with Stone Mason apprentice Rachael Wragg. Rachel is currently learning the trade at Lincoln Cathedral. Rachaels talks about finding her passion and purpose for working with stone, after completing a degree in art and then working in numerous ‘pointless’ jobs. A self proclaimed history nerd, she took the leap of faith to master the craft of stone masonry. Today on the show, we’re chatting with Rachael Hunt of the blog from Gluten Freedom. Rachael has built an incredibly loyal following using her blog and social media channels, which guides fellow gluten free foodies to navigate the food scene and gluten free lifestyle with ease. Beyond her gluten free niche, I knew Rachael would be an incredible guest on the show because she is the epitome of someone who is following her heart & passion in this world, and creating the business of her dreams in the process. She’s truly a visionary. She blogs, she attends influencer events, she creates recipes / e-books and online programs, she hosts a podcast (which I was featured on, towards the beginning of the show) and she runs workshops with past podcast guest Becka Crowe, under their brand Vibe Tribe Wellness… among many many other things, Whether you’re a gluten free maven, a blogger, a podcaster, or passionate health and wellness enthusiast, I know you’re going to love Rachaels fun spirit and go-getter attitude. Rachael and I chat about what she was up to before launching Gluten Freedom, the many iterations of her business, launching a second brand with her BFF to focus on lifestyle and wellness, and so much more Snap a screenshot of this episode as you listen, and let me know what you think by tagging me @kelseyreidl ----- CONNECT WITH RACHAEL on INSTAGRAM ----- CREATE A PROFITABLE SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY (ONLINE WORKSHOP)www.kelseyreidl.com/smworkshopAlso check out my website for blog posts, tips and more! www.kelseyreidl.comINSTAGRAM: @kelseyreidl and @visionarylifepodcastwww.instagram.com/kelseyreidl www.instagram.com/visionarylifepodcastBUSINESS: hello@kelseyreidl.com MY SERVICES: BUSINESS COACHING SOCIAL MEDIA CONSULTING Find out more at www.kelseyreidl.com/workwithme
