The B Unfiltered Podcast is a gem that I stumbled upon last year and instantly fell in love with. From the brief moments I listened to, to the interesting clips on Instagram, I knew there was something special about this show. It wasn't until recently when I finally went back and started from the beginning that I became completely hooked. The commentary provided by Brittney and Ivy is not only relatable, but also feels like listening to my own best friends on FaceTime or a phone call. Their transparency is one of the best traits of the show, making it feel incredibly authentic and genuine.
One of the best aspects of The B Unfiltered Podcast is its relatability. As a 30-ish Black woman in today's society, I find every episode to be incredibly relevant to my life. The topics discussed are always engaging and cover a wide range of subjects that resonate with me. The conversations are not only informative but also entertaining and hilarious. It's refreshing to hear such open discussions that tackle important issues while still feeling light-hearted.
The guests featured on the podcast are never boring and bring their own unique perspectives and experiences to the table. This adds an extra layer of depth to each episode, making it even more interesting and inspiring. Additionally, the chemistry between Brittney and Ivy is undeniable. Their friendship shines through in their banter, creating a dynamic that makes me feel like I'm part of their conversation.
As for potential drawbacks, there really aren't many. However, if I had to nitpick, it would be great if The B Unfiltered Podcast had some sort of live feedback system where listeners could give real-time opinions and feedback on each episode. Sometimes I find myself wanting to chime in during certain discussions because they hit so close to home.
In conclusion, The B Unfiltered Podcast is an absolute delight that deserves all the praise it receives. With its relatable content, informative conversations, and hilarious banter, it has quickly become my go-to podcast. Brittney and Ivy are making a statement in a major way and I couldn't be prouder of them. Whether you're driving, need a break from the radio, or simply want to feel like you're chatting with your best friends, this podcast is a must-listen. Keep up the awesome work, ladies (and Justin on the features)!

Happy one-year Houston-versay to me! This episode is all about my move to Houston. I am answering all the questions I have gotten over the last year, starting with why I moved.
No show notes, just vibes! I'm kidding...kinda...Okay, well, I will try my best. This week's guest is branding and marketing extraordinaire Dominique Zonyee. Thanks to all the champagne, we are all over the place on this episode in the best way possible. So, I am not giving away any details. You just gotta listen! Super excited about this week's guest, Gelly, a friend of the show. There are plenty of laughs to enjoy, so let's get into it. Alright, we have all been petty in a relationship or friendship. We both share one of our moments. Social Buzz this week is simple: Caresha Please Podcast & Nick Cannon is still having kids!Next up, a listener requested topic, Summer fashion. All this talk of "Hoochie Daddy Shorts." Brittney is over the phrase, but they talk about what they think Summer fashion will look like this year. Rest assured, Sun Dress Season is still a thing. Let's get a little serious. Over the past several months, most of us have experienced Covid. Very few people are talking about the lasting after-effects on the mind and body. They talk about everything from depression to hair loss after testing positive for Covid. And, let's end things on a high note. Gelly comes with her share of questions for Brittney, so pull up for a little mini-interview of your host. Instagram: Angelica: @gellygelzGirlfriend's Ave: @girlfriends.ave
Nothing fancy here. I just quickly recorded something to give y'all a little update on my absence because I have been the worst!First...a quick podcast update...Next, life update...spoiler alert, it has been kicking my ass Lastly, a special Favorite Things review. Y'all know that I LOVE Body Of A Goddess Body Oils, so I had to take the time to give you a deep dive into why! https://www.bodyofagoddess.cohttps://www.instagram.com/BodyofaGoddess.co/
After some pressure from the listeners, here it is. And before y'all say anything, I edited (only one edit too) this on my own to try to get it out on time, so relax. -------------------I am really excited about this week's guest. Y'all get to meet one of my best friends, Ty (IG @tyshotme)! We give you all little background on our friendship to kick things off, and then it is time to get to this week's topics. For social buzz, we talk about gender identity in jails. Should inmates be permitted to be housed in prisons with the gender they identify with instead of their born gender? And what's up with Kaep? Why is he so interested in being a part of the NFL again if he was against how they treated Black players before he left? Lastly, TV has had a lot going on this year. We discuss Belaire, Snowfall, Atlanta, & Love is Blind. A quick update on my dating life...spoiler alert, it is giving the wanna-be city girl meets the narcissist. "This is not a dating podcast," but I had to ask Ty, should your partner have to tell you that they were involved with someone of the sex before you all dating? And do yall think Cam Newton was tripping? Were his comments about what being a woman means to him out of line?Lastly, music. Ty is a big music fan like me, so we had to talk music in 2022 so far.
**Queues Welcome Back x Mase**I am back! I would like to believe better than ever, & hopefully, all of the listeners will agree. I had to take some time to live some life. Within about two months, I experienced death, a job change, a breakup, a move 1,400 miles across the country, healthy problems, and struggles with my mental health. I quickly discovered that everyone's "strong friend" needed a break, like a serious break, so I took some time to just do me without worrying about outside obligations. I have experienced a lot since I have been gone, and I am ready to share it again. I won't call this a comeback, but B Unfiltered 2.0. I hope you all enjoy the new show format and have missed me as much as I have missed podcasting. It will only get more unfiltered from here! *insert smirking devil emoji*
2021 has been another year for the books. Join us as we discuss our final thoughts on another wild year.
I'm back, well, kinda. I decided to bring you a special episode that is slightly different from what I have done in the past. I have a special guest, a college friend of mine, Niki. Y'all will LOVE her, trust me. Brittney & Niki discuss how they met, a few college memories, how the idea for this episode came about, & our second COVID Christmas with the Omarion strain on the rise. Next, Social Buzz is back. How do you feel about Kim's most recent response to cultural appropriation accusations? "Sex & The City" is back with a new spinoff. Does "And Just Like That" compare to the original show we loved? Lastly, let's talk "Insecure" and predictions for what's to come. Now for the tea! Brittney & Niki have an open discussion about sexuality, friends with benefits relationships, being comfortable in your singleness, the dreaded dating apps, awkward sexual encounters, and hell dates.
Social Buzz is messy this week. From Karen Civil to Brittany Renner, there has been plenty to talk about lately. It's been a while since we talked music, so let's join in the DONDA verse CLB debate. Have you been keeping with RHOP because the ladies did not come to play this season? There is a story about six Black UK football players on trial for burglary after attending an off-campus frat party, so we shed a little light on what's happening in Lexington. Is there more to the story than what the victims are claiming that happened? Lastly, is dating multiple men at once the move? Is this how we should be approaching dating these days?
We were not going to release this episode, but by request, here it is. As you all know, this is the episode that we recorded while we were on vacation for Ivy's 35th Birthday in Puerto Vallarta, MX. We didn't have the cord that we needed to use the mic, so we had to record using the built-in mic on the MacBook, so the sound isn't the best. Now…A lot of people have been asking about why Brittney moved to Texas. Well, at the beginning of this episode, Ivy & Brittney talked about EVERYTHING. We woke up that following day to send the audio to Rasohn in hopes of releasing the episode right away & the entire beginning of the episode was deleted! God blocked it! LOLWhat you all are hearing is the second half of the episode, which is still really hilarious. This episode is brought to you by vacation vibes, Crown Royal shots, & Instagram. Enjoy! The following topics guide the conversation because there were no topics, just vibes: Coco Austin breastfeeding her 5-year-old… Should the man in a relationship love a woman differently (maybe more) than he loves her? How important is accountability in a relationship? Is not asking for "a lot" in a relationship a recipe for disaster? And how do you define a lot?
On this week's Social Buzz, we want to know are Relaxers making a comeback, and how do you feel about the curriculum change in Texas? Let us know! Also, Is Pretty Privilege really a thing? How long do you date before going on a Baecation? You'll probably be surprised by our responses, but we want to hear from you guys as well, so tap in!This is the real “Questions that Need Answers:” Are y'all really asking for plasticware at restaurants and drinking out of juice boxes at Waffle House?Last stop, are you the “$500 client” with a lot of questions or are you the “$50,000 client” who just pays the invoice, no questions asked? If you're a business owner, we'd like to know your stance on this. Do you prefer the $500 client or the $50,000 client? We breakdown who those types of client tend to be to give you a little more context!
Social Buzz this week is all about the Olympics, Tabitha Brown, & Wendy Williams. We are answering a bunch of questions that have come up in conversation over the past few weeks. How do you define a “serious” relationship? Does posting a photo in a thong have a negative reflection on a woman? Lastly, how do you feel about Black women seemingly only being hired for executive level management for diversity & inclusion roles? We also discuss our experiences with women bosses in the workplace. We also have a cameo from our mini cohost, Milan, this week too.
This episode is dedicated to Brittney's cousin that recently passed away. I miss and love you, Leon. Rest in peace. After a brief hiatus to catch up own life, the girls are back. There is a lot to talk about now that it seems Outside is back, back. For this episode's Social Buzz segment, they cover the school district that edited the female student's yearbook photos to make them appear more covered up, the never-ending saga of "Who Shot Meg?", and of course, all this controversy surrounding a woman's choice to wear bonnets in public. Next up, should a woman dress how she wants to be addressed by the public? Has dating "too many" people ruined our ability to be satisfied in relationships? Lastly, what's your take on the Black woman luxury movement that we've been seeing Black women talk about so much lately? Is Luxury being appropriately defined? Are we considering fundamental human rights a luxury to Black women? Is this movement getting it all wrong?
Brittney & Justin discuss their recent trip to Tulum, Mexico.

We're talking Meghan Markel and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah, the “Stop Asian Hate” movement, Piers Morgan, Candace Owens (insert eye roll), and Kim & Kanye divorcing.
