Somewhere between a Yankee Stadium spiritual awakening and a nationwide lettuce crisis, we recorded this episode. And listen, the writers of America The Soap Opera did NOT take the week off.Joyhdae and Ryan are still floating from JAŸ-Z's three night residency at Yankee Stadium (yes, both of us went, no, we are not okay), Ryan is child-free and barely knows what week it is, and somehow we still delivered. There's death. There's mystery. There's a parasite. There's a scam. There's HOV. That's not a teaser, that's the actual rundown. Also Natalie sent a voice note. On the work phone. Ryan has thoughts.⸻Segment BreakdownAITA: Wine at the Kids' TableA solo traveler in Tenerife, a family of five with opinions, and a glass of wine that mysteriously disappears. What she orders next is the reason we can never say we're the bigger person. We give our honest takes and reveal exactly how petty each of us would have been. (Spoiler: very.)Lindsey Graham Is Gone... and Where Is Mitch?Senator Lindsey Graham died suddenly at 71, and the internet showed exactly zero grace. Meanwhile the Mitch McConnell conspiracy theories are conspiracy-ing, because y'all really thought one AI-looking photo was gonna hold us over? Somebody go do a welfare check. The Lettuce Situation (Cyclospora Outbreak 2026)The worst cyclospora outbreak on record, 7,000 cases and counting, and nobody can tell us where it's coming from because somebody pulled the research. We talk salads, spinach supremacy, and why Joyhdae hasn't touched a tomato since the Bush administration.Boosie Paid $600K For a Pardon That Never ExistedTwo convicted felons told Boosie Badazz they had Trump on speed dial. They did not. We discuss the scam, the typo-filled contract, and why our sympathy is currently unavailable. Please leave a message.Leave KevOnStage AloneIt's the third time this year y'all have been mad at this man, and this round might be the silliest one yet. We get into church folk, shame culture, and why the pastor who stays in a scandal gets more grace than a comedian being honest.HOV Did That: JAŸ-Z's Yankee Stadium ResidencyThree nights. Three completely different shows. Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, and an extra innings finale that started after midnight and ended with fireworks at 2:45 AM on a work night. Blue Ivy on the keys, Eminem out the cave, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, and enough Easter eggs to keep the internet busy until next summer. We were both in the building and we are STILL not over it.Dad vs Auntie JokesShout out to Hudson. That's all we're legally allowed to say. The punchlines stay in the episode.⸻Drop It:If you're still recovering from the JAŸ-Z weekend, if you've side-eyed a salad this month, or if you've ever been told "words mean things" in a group chat, this episode is for you.How petty would YOU have been at that Tenerife dinner table?Do you actually believe Mitch McConnell is okay?Which night of the JAŸ-Z residency was the best? I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church at Cenchreae, 2 that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints, and help her in whatever she may need from you, for she has been a patron of many and of myself as well.3 Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, 4 who risked their necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but all the churches of the Gentiles give thanks as well. 5 Greet also the church in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in Asia. 6 Greet Mary, who has worked hard for you. 7 Greet Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners. They are well known to the apostles, and they were in Christ before me. 8 Greet Ampliatus, my beloved in the Lord. 9 Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and my beloved Stachys. 10 Greet Apelles, who is approved in Christ. Greet those who belong to the family of Aristobulus. 11 Greet my kinsman Herodion. Greet those in the Lord who belong to the family of Narcissus. 12 Greet those workers in the Lord, Tryphaena and Tryphosa. Greet the beloved Persis, who has worked hard in the Lord. 13 Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord; also his mother, who has been a mother to me as well. 14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers who are with them. 15 Greet Philologus, Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them. 16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.17 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. 18 For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. 19 For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. 20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.21 Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you; so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen.22 I Tertius, who wrote this letter, greet you in the Lord. 23 Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer, and our brother Quartus, greet you.25 Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages 26 but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith— 27 to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.1. The sermon opens with the "how's it going" that isn't really a question — quick, shallow, going nowhere. Do you experience much of that shallow interaction in your day-to-day life?2. Paul's list of greetings cuts across every social line Rome used to keep people in their place — status, class, ethnicity, gender. Where in your own life do you find it hardest to cross those kinds of lines (there are others in our culture)?3. Paul tells Apelles he's "approved in Christ" — you've been through the fire and held on, and also, your approval was never in yourself to begin with. Which of those two do you need to hear more right now?4. Sometimes the same quality that makes a church warm and welcoming is exactly what wolves exploit. How do you hold those two things together — staying genuinely open and also genuinely discerning?5. If you are a Christian, what do you find to be your personal hurdles to engaging in free, full-hearted worship of God?6. Quartus — "Number Four" — a nobody with a slave's name, whose name ends up in the most important letter ever written. Is there someone in your life right now who feels invisible or nameless to the people around them, and what would it look like for you to do what Paul did?
In this episode, John and Mike visit one of their favorite annual Mustang club shows, the Great Lakes Stampede All-Ford & Mustang Car Show, hosted by the Mustang Club of Mid Michigan (MCMM). This event marked the public debut of the Mustang Owner's Podcast 10x10 Meet & Greet tent display, where the boys featured not one, but TWO celebrity guests – Bud Magaldi, chief designer and styling design manager of the Fourth Generation (SN95) 1994 Mustang, and Emeline King, the interior designer of that same Fourth Generation (SN95) 1994 Mustang. Bud and Emeline chatted with attendees and signed autographs while Emeline also offered a book-signing for her inspirational softcover autobiography, “What Do You Mean A Black Girl Can't Design Cars? Emeline King, She Did It! (still available on Amazon). This year the MCMM moved its show venue to the Birch Run Speedway after several years at the nearby Outlet Mall. Clouds, wind and eventual rain may have affected the turnout a bit, but John and Mike were amazed by how many different variants of Shelby Mustangs braved the elements for the Stampede, as well as how many early gens were there, along with a multitude of special colors in attendance – especially green! The great photography you see here came from Ford retiree and super-enthusiast Bill Cook.

This week on the Tapped In Podcast, Nick and Jacked Jameson somehow find time in their increasingly ridiculous schedules to break down one of the busiest stretches in 1FW history. The guys look back at live events in Gainesville and LaGrange, plus the unforgettable doubleheader at EchoPark Speedway during the Quaker State 400 NASCAR weekend. What was it like bringing professional wrestling to the racetrack—and how did 1FW handle a weekend unlike anything it had attempted before? Then, all eyes turn toward the show everyone has been waiting for:
It may come as a surprise to some Mustang owners and fans, but the idea of celebrating National Mustang Day each year on (or around) the car's public introduction day of April 17th didn't originate from Ford Motor Company. Rather, it was the brainchild of the late Steve Hall, originally set up to be an annual fundraiser for his newly founded Mustang Owner's Museum via the sale of windshield stickers to participating clubs. The museum created a National Mustang Day website to facilitate the sale of the window clings and list all of the participating club activities planned for that day, as well as to register for the museum's own NMD events beginning in 2018.Much like the creation of the Mustang Owner's Museum, Steve's idea of founding an annual National Mustang Day on the anniversary of the car's public birthday was well-embraced. And after that first one was in the books, the practice of owners and fans gathering on National Mustang Day has grown into a global phenomenon. For 2026, Mischelle Hall invited the podcast to attend both days, to be a guest speaker at the museum show and set up our Meet & Greet tent.Friday night's Hall of Fame dinner was emceed by MCA past president Steve Prewitt, who introduced the inductee for the Mustang Industry category, Bud Magaldi, chief designer and styling design manager of the Fourth Generation (SN95) 1994 Mustang. Next up was the Mustang Journalism category with fellow Mustang author Brad Bowling, perhaps best known for his unearthing of Steve McQueen's original Bullitt movie car. John Force was inducted in the Mustang Racing category, but the retired NHRA drag racing legend was unable to attend. The final Hall of Fame category, Mustang Hobby, was posthumously awarded to the late Steve Hall, founder of the Mustang Owner's Museum and National Mustang Day itself.Smiles were the order of the day on Saturday, as the cars started rolling into the museum lots before 7 a.m. for the National Mustang Day car show. There were easily over 100 Mustangs on display outside, with attendees coming in and out of the museum and filling the presentation tent all afternoon. The first guest speaker was Angela Graham from AutoBarn Classic Cars, who shared insights about the facility, including classic car sales, consignment, storage and memorabilia. The second speaker was Matt Grev from Wheelhouse Performance Racing, formerly the Ford Performance Racing School. Matt discussed the details of the continuation of the school under Wheelhouse and how they can help anyone take their driving expertise to the next level, whether they are beginners or experienced racers. We were able to catch some of the talk given by the third guest speaker, none other than our friend Emeline King, Ford's first-ever black female transportation designer. Known as the interior designer of the Fourth Generation 1994 SN-95 Mustang under Bud Magaldi, Emeline came down to witness Bud's induction into the HoF as well as to offer the backstory behind her inspirational book, "What Do You Mean A Black Girl Can't Design Cars? Emeline King, She Did It!"This year's 9th Annual Mustang Owner's Museum National Mustang Day event wrapped up with a brief awards ceremony, with each car show award winner chosen by the Hall of Fame Inductees, the Mustang Owner's Museum and by event attendees. They were:Carrie Boschan - Black 1996 SVT Cobra CoupeChosen by Mustang Industry Inductee Bud MagaldiBrian Rosenstein - Grey 1985 GTChosen by Mustang Journalism inductee Brad BowlingMike & Lorie Williams - Bright Yellow 1977 Mustang II ConvertibleJimy Reid - Vapor Blue 2024 Dark HorseChosen by Emeline King on behalf of Mustang Hobby inductee Steve HallEric Hausfeld - Dusk Rose 1967 Coupe Sports SprintChosen by the Mustang Owner's MuseumCJ Carter - Ivy Green1966 Shelby GT350And finally, the winner of the drawing for the 2009 Shelby GT500 Giveaway Car was Anthony Greene – who was actually in attendance when his name was drawn!

How did Paul conclude his Second Letter to the Corinthians? What happened afterward? How can we do well to apply what Paul taught the Corinthian Christians?Set Things Right | 2 Corinthians 13:1-13/14 | Paul's Second Letter to the CorinthiansOutline | YouTube ConversationThis is the third time I am coming to visit you. By the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter will be established. I said before when I was present the second time and now, though absent, I say again to those who sinned previously and to all the rest, that if I come again, I will not spare anyone, since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak toward you but is powerful among you. For indeed he was crucified by reason of weakness, but he lives because of God's power. For we also are weak in him, but we will live together with him, because of God's power toward you.Put yourselves to the test to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize regarding yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you – unless, indeed, you fail the test! And I hope that you will realize that we have not failed the test! Now we pray to God that you may not do anything wrong, not so that we may appear to have passed the test, but so that you may do what is right even if we may appear to have failed the test. For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the sake of the truth. For we rejoice whenever we are weak, but you are strong. And we pray for this: that you may become fully qualified. Because of this I am writing these things while absent, so that when I arrive I may not have to deal harshly with you by using my authority – the Lord gave it to me for building up, not for tearing down! Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice, set things right, be encouraged, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all (2 Corinthians 13:1-13).
Listen to today's podcast... How ironic that today we are to be celebrating one of the most common greetings between two people. The handshake was a gesture of peace, demonstrated by the fact that the hands held no weapons. Today, a handshake is offered upon meeting or parting. It is an expression of goodwill, gratitude and congratulations. Sometimes it is used in making a bet and confirming the bet with a handshake. There are also secret handshakes, those elaborate greetings signalling membership in a group or society. Research shows people with firmer handshakes are viewed as more positive and outgoing and less socially anxious. Do you dislike the thought of shaking another person's hand or feel that we should do away with this handshake all together especially in light of current health issues? Many people do. Take One Action Today To Build Your #Resiliency! Here are today's Tips For Building Resiliency and Celebrating World Handshake Day: When and if we ever get back to feeling comfortable using the handshake again, remember that it should be positive, friendly, warm, and welcoming. A handshake is a way of creating and sustaining relationships. Avoid using the crushing alpha handshake or the flaccid dead fish handshake. During these current times you can replace the handshake with these acceptable greetings in addition to the popular foot tap or the elbow touch. The Namaste which is a traditional Hindu greeting, is done by bowing slightly, palms pressed together toward your chest, with your fingertips pointing up. Just like the foot tap, don't say "hello" with your hands – when you can say it with your brows. Greet your colleague with a raise brows and smile Another popular way to greet someone is by bringing your hand to your heart. Finally, you can replace the handshake with the sign language wave. Bring one hand to the top of your forehead, then flick your wrist away from your head like a small wave or with the Shaka sign which you may also know as the wave of the surfer dude. LESSON 158Today I Learn To Give As I Receive. What has been given you? The knowledge that you are a mind, in Mind and purely mind, sinless forever, wholly unafraid, because you were created out of Love. Nor have you left your Source, remaining as you were created. This was given you as knowledge which you cannot lose. It was given as well to every living thing, for by that knowledge only does it live. You have received all this. No one who walks the world but has received it. It is not this knowledge which you give, for that is what creation gave. All this cannot be learned. What, then, are you to learn to give today? Our lesson yesterday evoked a theme found early in the text. Experience cannot be shared directly, in the way that vision can. The revelation that the Father and the Son are one will come in time to every mind. Yet is that time determined by the mind itself, not taught. The time is set already. It appears to be quite arbitrary. Yet there is no step along the road that anyone takes but by chance. It has already been taken by him, although he has not yet embarked on it. For time but seems to go in one direction. We but undertake a journey that is over. Yet it seems to have a future still unknown to us.Time is a trick, a sleight of hand, a vast illusion in which figures come and go as if by magic. Yet there is a plan behind appearances that does not change. The script is written. When experience will come to end your doubting has been set. For we but see the journey from the point at which it ended, looking back on it, imagining we make it once again; reviewing mentally what has gone by.A teacher does not give experience, because he did not learn it. It revealed itself to him at its appointed time. But vision is his gift. This he can give directly, for Christ's knowledge is not lost, because He has a vision He can give to anyone who asks. The Father's Will and His are joined in knowledge. Yet there is a vision which the Holy Spirit sees because the mind of Christ beholds it too. Here is the joining of the world of doubt and shadows made with the intangible. Here is a quiet place within the world made holy by forgiveness and by love. Here are all contradictions reconciled, for here the journey ends. Experience - unlearned, untaught, unseen - is merely there. This is beyond our goal, for it transcends what needs to be accomplished. Our concern is with Christ's vision. This we can attain.Christ's vision has one law. It does not look upon a body, and mistake it for the Son whom God created. It beholds a light beyond the body; an idea beyond what can be touched, a purity undimmed by errors, pitiful mistakes, and fearful thoughts of guilt from dreams of sin. It sees no separation. And it looks on everyone, on every circumstance, all happenings and all events, without the slightest fading of the light it sees. This can be taught; and must be taught by all who would achieve it. It requires but the recognition that the world can not give anything that faintly can compare with this in value; nor set up a goal that does not merely disappear when this has been perceived. And this you give today: See no one as a body. Greet him as the Son of God he is, acknowledging that he is one with you in holiness. Thus are his sins forgiven him, for Christ has vision that has power to overlook them all. In His forgiveness are they gone. Unseen by One they merely disappear, because a vision of the holiness that lies beyond them comes to take their place. It matters not what form they took, nor how enormous they appeared to be, nor who seemed to be hurt by them. They are no more. And all effects they seemed to have are gone with them, undone and never to be done. Thus do you learn to give as you receive. And thus Christ's vision looks on you as well. This lesson is not difficult to learn, if you remember in your brother you but see yourself. If he be lost in sin, so must you be; if you see light in him, your sins have been forgiven by yourself. Each brother whom you meet today provides another chance to let Christ's vision shine on you, and offer you the peace of God.It matters not when revelation comes, for that is not of time. Yet time has still one gift to give, in which true knowledge is reflected in a way so accurate its image shares its unseen holiness; its likeness shines with its immortal love. We practice seeing with the eyes of Christ today. And by the holy gifts we give, Christ's vision looks upon ourselves as well.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

Exodus 34:4b-6, 8-9Reading 1Early in the morning Moses went up Mount Sinaias the LORD had commanded him, taking along the two stone tablets.Having come down in a cloud, the LORD stood with Moses thereand proclaimed his name, "LORD."Thus the LORD passed before him and cried out,"The LORD, the LORD, a merciful and gracious God,slow to anger and rich in kindness and fidelity."Moses at once bowed down to the ground in worship. Then he said, "If I find favor with you, O Lord,do come along in our company. This is indeed a stiff-necked people; yet pardon our wickedness and sins, and receive us as your own."Reading 22 Corinthians 13:11-13Brothers and sisters, rejoice. "With animal welfare, we're basically waiting till the roof falls in — when the animals are at the shelter, that's the roof falling in. We have to catch them earlier." This episode is sponsored-in-part by Maddie's Fund, OcuTrap, and The Kitten Conference. What if the animal welfare system stopped waiting for families to walk through the shelter door — and started showing up before they ever got there? That's the question driving BJ Adkins, disabled veteran and founder of Animal Angels Foundation (AAF), a prevention-first nonprofit serving seven counties in central Alabama. After years of fostering and watching intake numbers refuse to budge, BJ decided to stop patching the system and start rebuilding its missing layer. AAF isn't a rescue organization. It's prevention infrastructure: programs designed to solve the problems that force pet surrender before surrender ever becomes an option. Those programs include SNIP, a spay/neuter assistance initiative with a $100 stipend for income-qualifying owners; The Bridge, which addresses the financial and housing barriers that most often precede surrender; Finder-to-Foster; Adoption Boost; Landlord Partnership; and Sniff and Greet. Connecting it all is the Animal Welfare Resource Network (AWRN) — a shared technology platform that replaces organizational silos with real-time coordination across shelters, rescues, vet clinics, and community partners. Three participation levels and no cost to join means even change-resistant organizations can get on board. To measure what's working, BJ is partnering with a University of Tennessee researcher to build the evidence base for prevention-first animal welfare — while already fielding calls from Colorado, Tennessee, and the Canadian SPCA. The data is being collected. The network is growing. And if BJ has anything to say about it, the roof won't have to fall in anymore. Press Play Now For: Why BJ compares the current animal welfare system to waiting for the roof to fall in — and what "upstream" intervention actually looks like A breakdown of AAF's six core programs and how each one targets a specific point of failure before shelter intake How the Animal Welfare Resource Network (AWRN) replaces organizational silos with a shared, real-time coordination platform The SNIP program's $100 stipend model and why removing financial friction matters for low-income pet owners BJ's strategy for bringing change-resistant organizations into the network — with three levels of participation and no cost to join How AAF is partnering with University of Tennessee researchers to build a data-driven case for prevention programs Practical advice for new nonprofit founders: research first, build relationships, and find the gap nobody else is filling Resources & Links Animal Angels Foundation Website Animal Welfare Resource Network (AWRN) Maddie's Pet Forum (where Stacy and BJ connected)

A sermon for the first week after Pentecost. Matthew 28:16-20 The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” 2 Corinthians 13:11-13 Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.

Add in Mike the Leprechaun’s one-man variety show, a sea of colorful humanity, and enough awkward social encounters to fill a documentary, and you’ve got another unforgettable Maller travel log. Retired NCCS Nikki Lozano joins the guys for one of the most personal and powerful conversations the podcast has ever had. Nikki reflects on her early days as a Personnelman (PN), the differences between the early 2000s Navy and today's Navy, and what it was like to be one of the first women assigned to an all-male ship. Before the Navy, she opens up about growing up in Utah in a trailer park, navigating an abusive household, the complicated lessons she learned from her father, and the mindset that ultimately pushed her toward military service. The conversation moves through battle stations, Norfolk memories, life aboard USS Cole, leadership after the attack, and Nikki's firsthand account of the October 12, 2000, terrorist attack. She also speaks candidly about PTSD, sexual abuse, physical abuse, trauma at follow-on commands, and the way those experiences permanently changed how she viewed drills, leadership, and survival. As the episode continues, Nikki discusses motherhood, the conversation with her daughter that ultimately led to her retirement decision, life after the Navy, becoming a realtor in the Hampton Roads area, and the healing journey that inspired her memoir, Grit and Grind: A Veteran's Journey to Healing. The crew also talks veteran storytelling, whether more veterans should lead recruiting efforts, the importance of transparency from leadership, and how stories can help people feel seen, understood, and less alone. These and many more topics are discussed in this episode. About Our Guest: Retired Navy Senior Chief Nikki Lozano served over 21 years in the United States Navy, beginning her career as a Personnelman (PN) before later converting to Navy Counselor (NCC). She was also a crew member aboard USS Cole (DDG 67) during the terrorist attack on October 12, 2000. Her memoir, Grit and Grind: A Veteran's Journey to Healing, explores many of those experiences in greater depth and was written to help encourage broader conversations surrounding resilience, recovery, and personal growth. Today, Nikki continues serving her community as a realtor in the Hampton Roads area while advocating for honest conversations surrounding healing and life after service.
