There are many occasions where we expect others to support our every endeavor but when they don't we fall apart. We need support from each other undoubtedly but must also cultivate our self-validation.
Are we being who we are or are we being who we've been taught to be? We should spend more of our lives being who we truly are not what's expected. Express and be you!
Sometimes, to find the best in ourselves, we must let go of what we percieve to be the worst in ourselves and the old lives that came with it.
Sometimes we can set ourselves up for disappointment, when we hold preconceived expectations. Whether it be a person or place see what you're working with before you pass judgment. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message

We all have moments when we need to vent but there is a time and place for that. Allowing ourselves to become neurotic and subjecting others to hysterical fits is not a healthy expression. We must find a balance in the expression of deep emotions. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message

We must learn to become aware when we are being driven by inclinations that may not lead to a fruitful end. Better yet, be sure that what you do feel inclined to do is coming from within you not some sphere of influence outside yourself. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
There is no sense in living a half-life by doing what's expected or keeping up with the Joneses, we should cultivate our own being by learning to do what we like! Learning to exercise using the word no as a people pleaser can be very difficult. Too often I found that many of us don't have healthy boundaries especially when we make ourselves too available. There comes a point in life when "No" becomes a part of choosing yourself over others when necessary. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
We must balance rebelling with a just cause or lack of one. Many of us have been led into a rebellion without a reason or direction and find ourselves in critical moments that beg our attention. Let's avoid these pitfall situations and learn to make better conscious rebel moves with a true direction in mind. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
We are all familiar with the phrase "Let sleeping dogs lie". This holds so much weight when traversing the changes of time as a Natural Law. Too often I found myself dwelling on the past preventing me from experiencing new things in the present. Allowing myself to learn to close those doors and reminisce with a warm heart, and growing into a new mode of existence helps me thrive fuller in the present. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
Sometimes to learn new things about ourselves and the world around we need to mix up our routines. A healthy little deviation from your monotonous day-to-day may align you with the inspiration or new experiences you've been looking for. Rigidity breeds boredom and loss of inspiration in my opinion so try shifting a little. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
"Awakening" can have many descriptions depending on each individual's personal experience. Still, for me to start off it simply means the process of coming into awareness of the things we have chosen to ignore or subconsciously. Then constructively addressing these things to improve our experience as we grow. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
We should not allow ourselves to be at every whim of trivial circumstances. There comes a need to strengthen ourselves mentally and emotionally so that we are not inclined towards the wrong action just because our emotions are invoked. Many things when misused or with selfish intentions can do more harm than good. I find it deeply important to take the time to understand what we take in, to be used properly. Don't let your feelings of inadequacy stop you from grabbing hold of what's yours. We work so hard for what we need and desire, why not feel deserving of the fruits of your labor? We are and can be more than we may realize if we get out of the way. It's time to bloom! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
I've come to believe that being alone shouldn't mean isolation. Let us start by recognizing what we believe being alone means to us and why the need for it is necessary when prompted. I've often heard and also been the person to say"I just can't be alone". I never asked myself why or sought to understand the more profound need here. I think we need to learn to be alone in healthy ways for a deeper understanding of self but still open to the world so we're not facing self-imposed isolation. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
On this twisting journey of unfoldment, a plethora of distractions come from various mediums. Learning to become aware of how these distractions play a role in your life can help tighten up on what you really want and where you're going. Some can be healthy and help us grow while others only serve to further us from what we seek. Know the difference. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
"If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together"- African Proverb We need to learn to cultivate and sustain a few long-lasting friendships in our lives. I believe it is essential, especially when we need support or a friendly face or voice. As we change so does the world around us but we can still stay connected with those we love. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
Way too often I used to find myself in precarious situations from ignoring intuitive nudges, and sometimes gut feelings about others around me. I am continuing to learn the value and strength of understanding, decoding, and following these signs. This doesn't mean every feeling is a sign but more times than none most are. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
It takes time to grow into our emotional expression of our mental atmosphere, after all, it's not like we had classes in school for it. Nonetheless, I believe it to be very important to find passion in understanding your own mental health and needs. This journey for many of us can be a scary goal to pursue but take it from me the earlier you start the more you'll thank yourself for doing so later. Its a Journey of rediscovery --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
Sometimes we must grow apart to grow together. I believe it is essential to refine yourself and the company you keep over time, naturally this already happens. Resistance to this creates worlds of chaos so many find themselves, typically emotional to start off. Like anything else involving conscious change, this step as one of many is not an easy one. Yet it can be a part of your anchor of strength in yourself when the tides of life churn. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
Just another reiteration of how I believe defining who you are as an individual is important. It's a beautiful life and it's a fast one we should know who we are and where we're going. Enjoy the journey but plan your steps knowing changes will take place as old identities fall away. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kurt-anderson6/message
Sometimes the lack of drive to continue on our path can be a significant sign. Often I feel we ignore this sign in order to sustain things that are not meant for us. Return to what feels suitable for you and watch the resistance fade away. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kurt-anderson6/message
Sometimes situations call for us to stand firm when expressing our feelings to others or to have healthy discussions. Once a people pleaser I found it hard to do this for fear of losing folks. Although uncomfortable at first you'll find liberation in doing so. The right people will always listen without getting super defensive. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kurt-anderson6/message
Too many times I hear about folks having a lack of purpose. Know, you define that purpose. It may sound cheesy but take it from my life has always felt fuller when I do what I want within reason. We shouldn't spend a lifetime trying to remember what brought s joy as children. Life can and should still be purpose-inspiring when you really seek it. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kurt-anderson6/message
This can go in many directions when applied but I feel in a min,d, body, and spirit aspect you must learn to follow your own counsel. After we've asked all the questions and overturned many stones we are still met with having to make our own choices. What better way to forge your path than by learning to cultivate your willpower, determination, grace, integrities, etc? We can learn from each other but at the end of the day we must make and live out our own choices. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kurt-anderson6/message
I believe we all have the natural inclination for deep expression, especially in times of uncertainty. These types of emotional deep expressions depending on the listener can be mistaken as depression. I feel it is essential to recognize the difference not just for yourself but when some may just need a hug and a little emotional support. Too often we repress these emotional expressions and this in my opinion is the culprit for some forms of "depression". --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kurt-anderson6/message
One of the major things I've noticed is not many folks prepare for getting older whether 30 or 60yrs old, we go along drifting. Expecting more from the lease amount of effort in no direction. To grow for me means planning for the unknown with a direction or goal in mind. This means fear will show itself in the face of uncomfortable change but we must learn to act anyway for the sake of our own growth. In these moments we learn new things about ourselves as we shed a younger mind and bloom renewed. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kurt-anderson6/message
Many like to say it's easy to move forward and just cut old things away. But no one really speaks on the emotionally painful part of it, to me we have to remember the practical aspect of being emotional creatures that hardly understand ourselves at best. Growth isn't so black and white, what works for one may not work for another. With this in mind, I believe there is importance in being aware and gentle with harder aspects of growth as we mature. . --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kurt-anderson6/message
Growth isn't just something we gain overnight. From my experience so far in this life, it takes time, as much as I hated hearing that it's comforting for me now. The reality is any form of growth like tending a garden takes maintenance. We should learn to cultivate joy in the maintenance of the things we cherish. To gain isn't enough to call it growth to accomplish longevity is the real deal. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kurt-anderson6/message
It's common and understandable after days of labor to feel like one of our main freedoms is to do what we want by doing nothing. But let's be realistic it's not about toxic productivity but remembering the joy in learning and daily tasks. I, for one, have always enjoyed the maintenance of the things I cherish, including relationships as an example. So why not learn to take your time further by learning things or relearning to love the things you do know and once enjoyed? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kurt-anderson6/message
In a world that constantly changes and so does the mind when pulled in many directions. I feel one of the best ways to combat becoming a drifter, is to have and build a plan around where you're going also with the reality in mind we're getting older. Even if that means hitting some roadblocks and revamping a plan it's better to have one for your life than not having one. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kurt-anderson6/message
