Does government intervention help or hurt? How does inflation impact working-class Americans? The panel offers insight into the economic strategies of both Trump and Biden.- Trump's Foreign Policy & The Future of Global Alliances: Is Trump's approach to NATO and Ukraine a calculated move to shift U.S. strategic focus to China, or a dangerous policy of appeasement? With America's global influence in question, the panel examines the impact of Trump's stance on military alliances, international relations, and the shifting world order.- Is America Becoming More Isolationist?: While some argue that America is retreating from the world stage, others believe it's a necessary shift toward self-reliance. This week on Beyond Sunday, Tate Wells is joined by Paxton Redd, Evan Ryan, and Hannah Buttram to reflect on Commitment Sunday, a powerful moment in The Outpouring campaign. They discuss the significance of seeing the congregation step forward in faith, placing their commitments in the same tubs used for baptisms last Easter. The conversation highlights the generational impact of generosity, with some participants even writing down names of future generations yet to be born. The group also unpacks Kevin Lee's sermon, “Step Aside”, emphasizing that true generosity comes from the heart and should be motivated by faith rather than comparison or fear. They also share incredible student ministry stories, where nearly 50 students collectively committed almost $20,000, showing that The Outpouring is already shaping the next generation. Looking ahead, the team previews exciting upcoming events, including The Overflow Night of Worship on March 27, which promises to be an unforgettable experience. This Sunday's message, brought by Evan Ryan, will focus on what it means to be “All In”, encouraging believers to pour themselves out in faith, just as Christ did. A special surprise video will also be revealed during the service, making it a can't-miss Sunday. The team encourages everyone to stay engaged, trust God in their commitments, and look forward to the continued movement of The Outpouring. ASK A QUESTION - TELL A STORY - CONNECT WITH US

The Outpouring - "Step Aside" - Acts 4:32-5:2, 2 Corinthians 8:10-12 We all need to check ourselves when it comes to pouring out. There is something beautiful in it. It appeals to us. But, at the same time - there is this heart tug of wanting to keep our stuff.  After all, it is OUR stuff, right? We are wise when we carefully check ourselves and do not put ourselves in the middle of it. The story of Ananias and Saphira is a powerful warning to us - these stories remind us that when you give, having been guided by the Holy Spirit, you are in for incredible joy! But, if you leave "KING SELF" on the throne, only trouble is ahead. There is a beauty in surrender when it is truly for the Lord.

We'll discuss the growing pressure on the president, and the implications for the race. School is finally out in schools nationwide. The NBA Finals and Stanley Cup are over. Summer is heating up. The war in Ukraine continues. The 2024 election is about to hit a whole new level. And the first presidential debate is here. Strap in, folks. It's gonna be a doozy.  Your host Paul Rieckhoff (@PaulRieckhoff) rips into all of it in this all new episode of Independent Americans. And, digs into the release of Julian Assange, the latest on the RFK Jr campaign for President, a provocative plan for Ukraine proposed to Trump, and what to expect from the presidential debate none of us wanna see, but we're all gonna watch. And how independent voters are at the epicenter of all of it.  And so is Errol Louis (@ErrolLouis). He's the beloved host of Inside City Hall, a CNN Contributor and Director of the Urban Reporting Program at the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism. He's closely covered Trump, Biden and everyone else for decades.  He's also a man who has moderated more debates than almost anyone. A man who also served as a panelist in the massively important 2016 Democratic presidential debate in Brooklyn between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. It was in April 2016, just 5 days before the crucial primary election in New York. It would serve to be Sanders' last stand, before Clinton eventually got the nomination. And the great Errol Louis was on that stage. A steady, strong, focused voice---to keep things on track--and represent the people. And Louis is a guy who made it all the way to that national stage, after himself starting out in the projects in Harlem–as the humble son of a cop.  It's the kind of unique insight and perspective you can only get from a trusted insider. And from this show. Because on Independent Americans, we're focused on not just what's happening now, but also on what's happening next. Every episode of Independent Americans is the independent truth beyond the headlines–and light to contrast the heat of other politics and news shows. Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Canon held an all-day hearing on a largely frivolous issue raised by Donald Trump's attorneys. At the end of the hearing, instead of ruling on the motion, Judge Cannon ordered supplemental briefs to be filed, injecting further unnecessary delay into the case. And Cannon has steadfastly refused to set a trial date. DNA has long been studied and understood as the genetic blueprint for life on Earth. And related scientific endeavors, like the Human Genome Project, have received enormous attention. But DNA's lesser-known counterpart, RNA, which translates the instructions from those blueprints into proteins in our cells, has received far less focus. But a lot's changed in the last few years. The success of the mRNA COVID vaccines has led to a renewed interest in the potential medical therapies for this tiny molecular powerhouse, with applications ranging from CRISPR gene-editing to an mRNA-based cancer vaccine.Dr. Thomas Cech, distinguished professor in biochemistry at University of Colorado, Boulder, and the author of the book The Catalyst: RNA and the Quest to Unlock Life's Deepest Secrets, joins Ira Flatow to tell us how why RNA has gotten the shorter end of the research stick for so long, how it could help us understand the origins of life, and why this misunderstood molecule might be the key to a next generation of big scientific discoveries.Read an excerpt from The Catalyst: RNA and the Quest to Unlock Life's Deepest Secrets at sciencefriday.com.Transcripts for each segment will be available after the show airs on sciencefriday.com.  Subscribe to this podcast.
