    Ever imagined what it would be like moving to a totally new country to study but end up planning almost all your life there? Meeting the love of your life, getting married, and starting a family away from your family and friends in the US? Well, that is the story of the guest on the show today, Lindsay Woychick! Lindsay Woychick is an international content creator and copywriter developing client brand strategy, awareness, and ad campaigns. She’s from Idaho but has lived in Spain for nearly a decade with her husband and daughter. This happened after a study abroad year turned into a life. In her years of international travel, she’s visited the Bahamas, Curaçao, France, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Portugal, and Spain. Lindsay met her husband while studying in Spain and what was initially a year stay turned into a 10 year-long stay.     As San Francisco and the rest of the Bay Area slowly reopens in the midst of COVID, it is becoming a more accessible and attractive place to visit. While Ro and Sara have never been to San Francisco themselves, they are lucky to welcome their sorority sister Talyn, who spent a weekend there with a friend recently! Listen in as Talyn shares her experience of San Francisco during COVID – what she was able to do, what the flight there was like, and what she’d like to do differently if she returns. Since San Francisco is still in the process of reopening, city attractions were only allowed to open for outdoor activities, but this suited Talyn just fine. As a lover of the outdoors, she and her friend did some hiking, walking, and biking around the city. They visited Dolores Park, and, while the nightlife seemed a little low-key, they enjoyed dinner and drinks at some of the city’s restaurants. Talyn is from Olive Branch, MS but went to college and currently lives in Memphis, Tennessee. She is a registered nurse in the ICU at the Regional One Health in Memphis, and her plan for the next few years is to start travel nursing, which hopefully you’ll hear more about soon. Let's get this thing globin'!From a Small Town to The Entire GlobeSara grew up in a small conservative farm town, which was great, but she wanted more than that. She knew that there had to be something more to the world than what she could see. Luckily, the opportunity to come to the University of Memphis presented itself, which she took (for obvious reasons), and got to see many different people from various backgrounds. Even with just that, her eyes were opened to the rest that the world has to offer. Sara began going to different places and eventually fell in love with globin'! Ro is just as passionate about traveling and learning about other cultures. Through the podcast, she wants to encourage Black people or other people of color to start the adventures they've always wanted, whether international or local. You have to be willing to get out of your comfort zone! Your bosses aren't the only ones who can travel – you can do it too.
