Abundant Life
Listeners of Paradigm that love the show mention: chad, listen.
The Paradigm podcast is a captivating and thought-provoking show that delves into the realms of personal development and self-mastery. As someone who is drawn to these subjects, I decided to give this podcast a try, even though I was initially hesitant to approach a workout without my favorite tunes. However, my curiosity got the better of me, and I'm glad it did. The host of the show has a unique and engaging way of connecting with his audience by referencing real events that have taken place in his own life. This personal touch adds an authenticity to his teachings that is truly refreshing.
One of the best aspects of The Paradigm podcast is the host's ability to make deep and complex concepts accessible to listeners. He breaks down intricate ideas from the realms of personal development and self-mastery into relatable anecdotes, making it easier for anyone to understand and apply these principles in their own lives. Additionally, the host's passion for what he teaches shines through in every episode, creating an infectious enthusiasm that inspires listeners on their own personal journeys of growth.
While The Paradigm podcast offers valuable insights and inspirational content, there are a few aspects that may not appeal to everyone. For those who prefer more traditional forms of personal development or self-help content, the religious undertones present in some episodes may be off-putting. While it is admirable that the host fearlessly incorporates his faith into his teachings, it may not resonate with individuals who are seeking a purely secular approach to personal growth.
In conclusion, The Paradigm podcast is an outstanding resource for those interested in personal development and self-mastery. The host's ability to connect with listeners through real-life experiences sets this show apart from others in its genre. While it may not be suitable for those looking for strictly secular content, those open to exploring different perspectives will find immense value in tuning in. Whether you're new to personal development or well-versed in its concepts, The Paradigm podcast offers a fresh and engaging approach that is sure to leave you feeling inspired and motivated.
The Holy Spirit isn't just with us—He equips us! Last night we were reminded by Pastor Chad to: 1️⃣ Discover your gift – God has already called and equipped you (Romans 11:29). 2️⃣ Develop it – Surrender it back to Him and grow in it (Romans 12:1-2). 3️⃣ Deploy it – Use it not for yourself but to glorify God (Romans 12:3-8).
Last night, Pastor Jonathan guided us through Part 3 of our Rest On Us series!
Last night, Pastor Chad led us through week two of our new series, “Rest on Us.” In week one, we explored who the Holy Spirit is. This week, we focused on what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It's important to remember that the Christian life isn't about striving to earn God's approval, but about surrendering to the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to work in and through us. Instead of relying on our own strength, we are called to walk in step with the Spirit. We can't please God when we live according to the flesh. Some of the ways we resist the Spirit include quenching, rejecting, or grieving Him. When we quench or reject the Spirit, we extinguish His flame and harden our hearts toward Him. We grieve the Spirit when we choose sin and return to the ways of death. To be filled with the Holy Spirit, we must be led and controlled by Him. This isn't a one-time event—it's a daily act of surrender, asking God to fill us afresh with His Spirit. Missed last night's message? What does it mean to be a leader? Pastor Jon wrapped up our Proverbs series by taking a deep dive into Proverbs 29 to see how the Bible challenges us on how to be wise and Godly leaders! Based on chapter 29, here are some questions to consider if you're asking yourself "Am I a leader?": 1. Do You Listen? 2. Do Watch Your Words? 3. Do You Quarrel When You Should Make Peace? 4. Do You Crave Influence Over Integrity? 5. Do You Lead With Vision? Missed last night's message? Pastor Chad came with a great message last night preaching on Proverbs 23 about alcohol — not just the bottle, but the battle behind it. 5 Warnings We Can't Ignore: 1. It can cause problems – What are you lingering around? 2. It looks good… at first – It may sparkle, but it bites. 3. It poisons – Some of us know the sting too well. 4. It impairs – Convictions get blurry when you're not sober. 5. It consumes – “You don't know what you're willing to risk for the bottle.” Drunkenness is the sin, not the sip — but wisdom is knowing where the line is. If you're struggling in your relationship with alcohol don't be afraid to seek the resources you need! -Call the Alcohol Abuse Hotline: 1-800-662-4357 -Consider Re:Gen At Abundant Life -Schedule an appointment with Abundant Life's Counseling Center Missed last night's message? Last night, Pastor Chad began week two of our sermon series on Proverbs by delving into the topic of wisdom. Proverbs, recognized as one of the wisdom books in the Bible, describes wisdom in chapter eight as “better than rubies.” So, what exactly is wisdom? Wisdom is the skill of navigating life with understanding, recognizing that all aspects of life are interconnected. It equips us to successfully navigate challenges and make decisions with insight. Wisdom goes beyond knowing right from wrong; it is the strength and resolve to do what is right, even when it's difficult. God desires for us to walk in His wisdom and live a life of purpose and success. We can gain wisdom by seeking counsel from our elders, immersing ourselves in His Word, and, most importantly, cultivating a vibrant relationship with Jesus. Missed last night's message? We just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who showed up last night, and thank you to the people who sacrificed their finances according to God's will.
As God moves and guides us to a new location, it's important to remember that we're not doing this individually, but as a collective—we're headed west together.
Paradigm is coming to Johnson County! We continue the series "Headed West" by answering the question how are we headed west? Answer: by worshiping, evangelizing, serving, and trusting the Lord in all things. We are not just moving west physically, but we are moving west with a Godly purpose of reaching lost souls! All great movements of God start with prayer, so pray that God will move the people of Johnson County as we head west! https://www.bible.com/events/49403864 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! As some of you may know, at the end of this year, we're opening a third location for Paradigm at our Overland Park campus! Last night, Pastor Chad started a new series discussing the necessity of this move called “Headed West.”
Last night we wrapped up our Quarter Life Crisis series! Pastor Phil led us in a message exploring how the choices we make today shape our future: ✨ God has a plan for your life… and so does the enemy. Which path are you choosing?
Cold weather may prevent us from gathering safely, but the warmth of God's majesty keeps us fired up for Him! As we continue in our series Quarter-Life Crisis, Pastors Chad Glover and Jonathan Clark are joined by Jeff Cox, the Executive Pastor of Counseling at Abundant Life Church, and Andrea Cleek, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) from the Crossroads Campus of Abundant Life Church to talk about the challenges we face with our mental health and how it affects us in our walk with Christ. God's promises are bigger than any crisis, yet oftentimes we tend to forget that He desires good for us! Last night Pastor Jon reminded us of a few of Gods promises as we navigate through relationship crisis. Promise #1: A promise to believe (Jeremiah 29:11) ➡️ Are you more focused on what others think than what God says? Trust His plan! Promise #2: A promise to walk in (2 Corinthians 12:7-10) ➡️ His grace is more than enough—lean into it! Promise #3: A promise to return to (Psalm 23:1-3) ➡️ The Lord restores your soul. Let Him lead you! God wants to redeem what has been broken in your life, so hit the floor, catch the bats, and patch the holes! God's got you—hold onto His promises! https://www.bible.com/events/49389989 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! So far in our Quarter Life Crisis series, we've covered how to navigate a crisis and the insecurities that come with it. Last night, Pastor Chad went even further and talked about something we can all relate to: work. Most of us are just working towards the weekend, but God gives us a new purpose and perspective in our careers. God wants us to be people of integrity who represent Him, and He also wants to have a relationship with us. We can apply this to our jobs and careers by: 1️⃣ Working hard and resting well 2️⃣ Talking to people about God and your relationship with Him 3️⃣ Reporting back to Him and inviting Him into all areas of your life, including your workday, every day! Missed last night's message? Each week, Paradigm sermons are posted on YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Pocket Casts!
“Quarter Life Crisis” continues! Last night, we tackled a struggle we all face—insecurities. So often, we try to handle insecurities by: 1️⃣ Hiding in our crisis 2️⃣ Dismissing God's promises 3️⃣ Questioning God 4️⃣ Doubting His call on our lives But here's the good news—God meets us in our insecurities and speaks truth over us in a way only He can. Our identity isn't found in our fears; it's found in Him! ❤️ Missed last night's message? Catch up anytime on YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Pocket Casts!

Last night, we took forgiveness a step further and Pastor Chad spoke about how to let that stuff go truly. Using the story of Joseph, his brothers, and his firstborn son Manasseh, we learned how to let that stuff go! Just as Joseph's brothers had caused pain and suffering, many of us have experienced seasons of hurt too. Now, we don't have to go around naming all of our firstborns Manasseh (I forgot; I let that go in Hebrew), but we can learn from Joseph's ability to trust God's plan and let go of the hope of having a better past. If he hadn't, our savior might not have been born. Imagine what God has in store for you when you let it go and put your trust in His divine plan for you. See you next Tuesday for the last Paradigm of 2024! "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them." Forgiving others who has sinned against you can often be, at best, difficult. At worst, it can seem nearly impossible. Jonathan Clark continues our At Odds series to address what the Bible says about forgiving others. Forgiveness is not about ignoring or forgetting about someone's trespasses. Forgiveness is tending to a debt, ready to absorb its cost, and setting them free. The Lord has unfathomable grace! He forgave us and will always forgive us, and calls us to do the same for others! See you next Tuesday, Paradigm! Happy Thanksgiving! "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." Conflict can be difficult to navigate. Last night Pastor Chad showed us how we can handle conflict with others in a Christ-like way. 1️⃣ Ensure it's a sin before reacting (95% of the time, let it go). 2️⃣ Take action: Don't gossip, wallow, or avoid it—go directly to the person (Matthew 18:15). 3️⃣ Approach with clarity: Speak in truth and love. 4️⃣ If needed, widen the circle with a neutral mediator (Matthew 18:16-17). 5️⃣ Lower expectations and choose forgiveness, showing God's love but protecting your heart. The best way we can learn how to resolve conflict is to do it. This week we challenge you to make amends wherever you may need to
"Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God." Matthew 5:9 NKJV Whether it's with a friend, a neighbor, a family member, a coworker, etc., it can be difficult as Christians to navigate how to resolve conflict in a godly manner. Chad takes us into our new series "At Odds", to see what the Bible says on conflict and what unresolved conflict can do to our lives if left unsettled. It can tear us apart and prevent us from living a life that God intended for us. It's time for us to rethink conflict! https://www.bible.com/events/49346767 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! When life feels chaotic, remember: God is in control. From the smallest moments to the biggest struggles, He is sovereign. We may not have control, but we can trust that He does. When things don't go as planned, instead of clinging to frustration or things of this world, turn to Him in faith. Everything we face—good or bad—is being worked out for our good. Rest in the assurance that Jesus is alive and there's hope to come.
Elections are just around the corner and it can be difficult as Christians in a very polarized society to discuss politics with others. How do we engage in politics in a Godly way? Jon takes us into the book of Mark to see Jesus' reaction when He was challenged by the Pharisees and the Herodians, in order to answer that question! Gospel-driven living starts with recognizing our sin and embracing the mercy of Jesus. It calls for being good citizens, avoiding unnecessary arguments, rejecting division, and committing to good works that reflect true faith. Do you have spiritual sight in your life? If so, are you using it to be a blessing and represent Jesus to the world? This week we challenge you to reflect on these things, and surrender whatever you may need to God.
Pastor Chad spoke on how grace is the driving force in our lives—it's what we need every single day. It teaches us to reject what doesn't align with God's truth and reminds us that we're never alone in our journey. Jesus saves us to reveal our identity and purpose. How has grace shaped your story? “Only what is done for Christ will last.” –C.T. Studd Last night we got to hear so many stories of lives changed by Jesus, and the importance of missions and spreading the Gospel. If you are interested in going on a mission trip, meeting with a mobilizer, or signing up for a multiply group, visit the link in our bio, then click “Live Sent - Missions.” “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Last night, we got to hear from Chelsea Glover, who spoke on the ingredients of a woman of God. Titus 2:3-5 shows us that a woman of God embodies strength and grace, curbing her passions while nurturing deep love for her husband, children, and others. With discernment and self-control, she remains pure and set apart, guarding her home and being a blessing to those around her. In her obedience, she honors her husband. She reflects a beautiful life of faith and purpose in what God has called her to.
Being a man of God means embodying integrity, reverence, and a life changed by faith. As Paul instructs, we should be sound in faith, love, and patience. Are these things evident and increasing in your life? Last night, Pastor Chad spoke on what it looks like to be a man of God. Titus 2:1-8 tells us that for young men, sober-mindedness is key—it's about curbing passions and showing power under control. Challenge yourself and other men of God to live exemplary lives, speaking with soundness and ensuring our behavior is above reproach. Are we truly reflecting Christ in our lives? Let's rise up and lead with purpose.
What ladder are you climbing? Are you stewarding well the things God has given you? Tuesday, Jon Clark continued our Titus series on leadership by examining what the apostle Paul uses to describe a leader. Titus 1:5-16 is Paul's description of what a leader (bishop) is and is not, as well as what a leader's role is. God did not stay in heaven looking down on His people and abandon them, but God came down the ladder as the Savior to serve and save His people! Paul followed Jesus' example, an example that we can follow as well.
Who's leading you in your life? Is there someone you're leading spiritually right now? How do we become Godly leaders in our daily lives? We look to those who are ahead of us in the race, follow them, and submit to where they may send us! Chad kick-started a new series last night diving into the book of Titus, where Titus learned to be a leader by following one of the greatest leaders in the Bible: Paul. We are all called to lead, and we are all capable of leadership. Paul called himself a servant of the Lord. That is what being a leader is: serving others. https://events.bible.com/en/event/edit/49316278 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! Are you living an abundant life? On Tuesday, Pastor Chad Glover taught on How to Have Abundant Life. John 10:10 shows us that the devil is a thief, and his plan is to kill, steal, and to destroy the life God calls us to live, but Jesus has come to bring us life and to have it abundantly. The enemy is out to steal our attention to corrupt our minds, our affection to God, our identity, and our purpose. What is the enemy trying to steal from you? How is he trying to do it? God's purpose for each of us is to know him personally, to save us from us from our sin, and to use us to build his kingdom. Are you trying to uphold the appearance of living a good life, while spiritually dead on the inside? There is a difference between truly living and merely existing. So, how can you live the abundant life? Abundant life is the obedient life– to walk out your faith and trust in God through asking forgiveness of your sin, living in freedom of sin, cultivating a relationship with Jesus, and living on mission for Jesus. Honoring Your Parents? This can be SO HARD as a young adult who is navigating making so many decisions. As followers of Christ, God calls us to honor our parents, and we don't want to be people who cherry pick what's easy to do in the Bible and leave the rest. This week we talked about 1. What is honor? 2. How do I honor my parents? and 3. Why does it matter? Though this may be hard, we want to remind you, "Things are better when you do things the Designer's way" - Chad Glover. https://events.bible.com/en/event/edit/49299296 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! True friendship is more than companionship; it's made up of selflessness, sacrifice, and security. Like Jonathan and David, true friends lay down their lives for each other, stand side by side in every season, and offer a seat at the table despite the challenges. Their bond reflects God's love, blessing each other through thick and thin. Let's seek out friendships that embody these qualities, walking together in faith and grace, while also striving become this type of friend. “Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Each week, the Paradigm sermons are posted on YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Pocket Casts as free resources for you to listen to the word if you miss a week, want to re-listen, or even share with a friend!
What are we going to do when we get to heaven? How will things we experience in life now compare to what we experience then? Last night, we looked at these things through the lens of Psalm 16:11, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." We looked at how work and rest, relationships, emotions, entertainment, and worship will all be different in Heaven. These things occupy our time here on Earth, but each will be the most satisfying in the place that the Lord is preparing for us. We will never be able to fill any void with anything but the Lord's presence; there we will find true joy and pleasure. "But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him"- these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God." 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 Each week, the Paradigm sermons are posted on YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Pocket Casts as free resources for you to listen to the word if you miss a week, want to re-listen, or even share with a friend! https://www.bible.com/events/49292941 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! Hell is a topic many people have misconceptions about. What is it exactly? It is an eternal separation from God and Jesus made teaching about hell a priority. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). We are all filled with sin, but those who build their identities on anything other than Jesus Christ will only be disappointed with the result, here on earth and all of eternity. We encourage you all to invite the people in your life to surrender to the gospel, invite them to Paradigm tomorrow night, and share this sermon with them! What cross are you on? Jonathan Clark continued our Paradise series last night, where we look at the two men who were crucified and the left and right of Jesus while Jesus was on the cross. The man on Jesus's left mocked Him alongside the crowd, but the man on the right saw that something was different about Jesus, so he asked, "Will you remember me?". Jesus responded, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." (Luke 23:39-43) Are you on the cross of revolving sin and anguish? Where you try to solve your problems on your own, but you can't seem to change? Or are you on the cross of salvation, where you recognize your need of a Savior? Jesus IS that Savior. We can trust Him with our lives that His life and His works are what saves us and gets us into heaven. You can be on the cross of salvation today! You may think it's too late, or you're too far gone to be saved, but NO ONE is too far gone that can be redeemed by the blood of Jesus! http://bible.com/events/49286496 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! What is heaven like? Are there pearly gates? What do we do in heaven? We've all asked these questions before and have had our own ideas about what heaven is like, but what is it REALLY like? Last night, Jonathan Clark kicked off our new series, "Paradise," to jump head-first into the book of Revelation to see what it has to say about what heaven is like. Here's 5 truths about heaven that will change your life: 1. Heaven is physically new (Rev 21:1) Heaven is a physical place, not clouds in the sky. 2. Heaven is prepared (Rev 21:2) God knows all of us better than we know ourselves, and the Lord has prepared heaven, especially for YOU. 3. Heaven is the place of God's presence (Rev 21:3) Heaven will NOT be boring. We will be in the very PRESENCE of God. 4. Heaven is a place of healing (Rev 21:4) In heaven, there's no heartache, no pain, no disease, no sin. God will be there to wipe the tears from our eyes because He loves us. 5. Heaven is our home (Rev 21:5-7) Heaven is not just God's home, it's OURS as well. We can not enter into heaven through our own works due to the corruption of sin (Ephesians 2:8-9), but luckily we don't have to. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ allows us to enter heaven! Believing in Christ's works and confessing that He is Lord is what gets us to heaven (Romans 10:9)! If you do not know where you will go when you die, today can be the day when you are finally sure by confessing Jesus Christ as Lord!
