Today I welcome back Heather Doran. Heather is a financial coach who helps people tap into their potential for success. She talks about all of the reasons we stay stuck in our lives financially. She explains that everything starts and ends with mindset and energy. When we don't allow ourselves permission to express our desires and use our voices to speak our truth, we sabotage our potential for success. She explains how the Universe matches our energy and why it is so important to dream big. She urges everyone to stop staying stuck and stop playing small in life. It's time to start showing up and step fully into your power. 043 - In this episode, Heather and her 15-year-old daughter Grace have a thoughtful and enlightening discussion about pronouns. Grace has wisdom far beyond her 15 years, and yet is acutely in touch with the teenage experience. If you are curious about how to use pronouns properly and what they mean, this is the episode for you! Here are four tips from linguistics specialist, Dr. Kirby Conrad: 1. Slow down! Plan your speech. Meeting another's need sometimes means talking carefully and thoughtfully.2. If you're correct, LISTEN! Do not talk over someone if they are correcting you. Be humble and cultivate awareness.3. Don't make excuses. Period.4. If you mess up, correct yourself briefly and don't make a big deal out of it. You are human, it's going to happen. 042 - In this episode, Heather interviews Trystan Reese, author of the brand new memoir, How We Do Family. Trystan is redefining the idea of family. His memoir covers so many important issues, from trans pregnancy to adoption to LGBTQ parenting. More, it does so in such an inspiring—yet relatable—tone. Trystan's voice shines through in the best way as he shares his story and lessons applicable to every family. Trystan and Heather discuss the value of "doing the work." Using Brene Brown's wisdom, "If my healing is dependent on your response to my story, I'm not ready to tell my story," Trystan shares the difference in doing work from a scar or from a wound. Simple yet profound. He has beautiful thoughts on allyship: "What allyship encourages us to do is to broaden the lens, is to use the power of empathy to see the world through other peoples' eyes and to be open and to be curious and to be humble; to hopefully move into seeing that we are all so deeply and profoundly interconnected to each other.Trystan's book, How We Do Family, is truly a must-read! Written in such a relatable way, you will finish it with a deeper understanding of the trans experience specifically as well as a greater empathy for all who are in the LGBTQ community in general.Only 15 days left to tag Heather on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter @JustBreathePride2021 for a chance to win this adorable Pride basket!Click HERE for Heather's Coming Out Process Cheat Sheet!Contact Heather directly at hh@chrysalismama.com Do you LOVE Just Breathe? As an empath, Heather found herself attracting and falling into a series of toxic relationships. Believing that her path in life was to 'fix' people, Heather found herself feeling like a failure every time a relationship ended. It took the death of a partner to make Heather realise the dangerous path she was on and decide to make a change. Heather is my guest this week to tell her story. She begins with the following anonymous quote:"LGBTQ pride was not born of a need to celebrate being LGBTQ, but our right to exist without persecution. Heather’s confidence was extremely evident in our conversation and that confidence was combined with her calm energy. She shares openly that the more she knows what her clients’ needs are—as well as what they don’t need, the more equipped she is in helping them achieve their goals and desires. Also, accommodating the sellers’ needs within her clients’ offers—while representing her clients’ needs and desires—and how that, helps her clients move to the top of the list when making an offer, so to speak. I absolutely love that Heather has fine-tuned one of her ideal clients to be the person who doesn’t necessarily think they can own a home and how she helps those clients see the opportunity to build equity within their home when they own vs. rent. The more we spoke the more we realized how much information there is in the real estate discussion! Contact Heather for a FREE consultation to learn more about the current market, figure out if buying or selling is right for you, what types of offers are being accepted and what it means when a home inspection is “bad.” Heather is happy to discuss what it means if the house doesn’t appraise for the price that is offered to the seller, the importance of submitting all documents to the lender, and how not obtaining any additional debt until the loan is closed and complete is crucial. In this episode we're joined by our resident shaman Heather Heaton for a discussion on the paranormal. There are people who through choice and lack of experience are ‘non-believers’ of the paranormal. There are others who like myself, owing to have had an other-worldly (other dimensional) experience happen to them (backed up by confirmation), have little choice in believing. We all begin with a healthy fear of hauntings and strange activities, but the more you learn from responsible people with experience and knowledge, the more interesting it is. In this episode we're joined by our resident shaman Heather Heaton for a fascinating exploration of the shamanic medicine wheel. The shamanic medicine wheel can be described as a Map. It gives a mental or visual image of how to explore the ‘Inner’ and ‘Outer’ dimensions of existence – that is, of life, of self and beyond. Exploring the shamanic medicine wheel offers an opportunity to understand one’s own emotions and nature on many levels. Revelations and realisations of truth, love, life and of the mysteries of death are common experiences for those who ‘walk’ the medicine wheel.
