If we’re being honest, it’s been a slow week. Wonder Woman 1984 is delayed and Luke Cage was cancelled, but besides that it’s been pretty quiet on the nerdy news front. Luckily, the guys have been saving their lists of the “Best DC Animated Films” for just such an occasion. Julian, Daniel and Jeremy break down their 5 favorite films from the pantheon of DC’s animated features. Some of DC’s best movies exist in obscurity because they aren’t live action. From the sombre and beautiful Batman: Mask of the Phantasm to the bombastic yet complex Justice League: Crises on Two Earths and more, the ToB Crew explore what makes these underappreciated superhero adventures worth your time.

Hello DC Nationites, with Cartoon Network's sudden decision to put DC Nation (Green Lantern: The Animated Series & Young Justice Invasion) on hiatus until January, I bet you're thinking the Angel of death awaits for our podcast as Michael and I are going to be stuck doing more comic book discussions but just because DC isn't providing us with new animation doesn't mean we can't go back and discuss their great animated content of the past. In other words, we are going to start a series of audio commentaries on the DC Animated Films beginning today with an old classic Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and wrapping itself up hopefully just before DC Nation returns from hiatus with the most recent film to come out Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1. However, with us digging through the past, that does not mean new DC Comics content won't be discussed on the podcast as we will still be reviewing Smallville Season 11 with this week's episode and there are plans in the works for talking about the big story arc going on in Batman comics, Death of the Family.
