After 25 years, detective Frank Washington teams up with his old partner, Joe Marshall, to investigate a bunch of gang-related deaths.Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance is the sequel to Samurai Cop, which was a movie that we absolutely loved. It was hilarious in all the best ways and very entertaining. Although Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance didn't provide the same level of engagement, it was still a fun film in how crazy it was. It brought back all of our favorite characters from the first movie, played by Mathew Karedas and Mark Frazer, and added Tommy Wiseau. Watch the movie and catch our review. http://www.searchforschlock.com/media/podcasts/sfs-144-SamuraiCop.mp3 Download MP3 We've been big fans of improbably-jawed actor Robert Z'Dar at least since we saw him play Russia's greatest warrior in The Final Sanction, which we watched about two and a half years ago. Z'Dar is a prolific film actor, starring in around a half-dozen films a year from the late 80s on, so there are plenty of great works to choose from -- but when it comes to schlock classics, we would have been fools not to select Samurai Cop. Admittedly, Z'Dar isn't the top banana here -- that honor goes to Matt Hannon, a man with beautiful, dark, flowing hair, who -- upon learning that Samurai Cop had achieved cult status, and that fans believed he was probably dead -- revealed himself to be very much alive, and starred in a recent sequel alongside infamous goofball / auteur Tommy Wiseau. But if you're into that kind of tongue-in-cheek garbage, you've come to the wrong podcast! (I haven't seen it, maybe it's fun. You've probably come to the right podcast.)Original post located at searchforschlock.com.

Joe and Joel go back to their roots with the sequel to a truly bad film, Samurai Cop. But does the addition of The Room's Tommy Wiseau help or hurt it in the end?
Laurene Landon laurenelandon.biz so GET BIZZY! is an American film and television actress. Laurene first began appearing in movies in the 1980s. She is best known for her roles in Maniac Cop and Maniac Cop 2, Hundra, Airplane II: The Sequel, and ...All the Marbles with Peter Falk. Landon began acting in a bit part in 1979's Bitter Heritage, also released as Naked in My Grave. She was cast as a featured skater in Roller Boogie in that same year. Recently, she starred opposite George Lazenby in Hunter, played Detective Higgins in Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance, and had a supporting role in the feature film Day Out of Days, directed by Zoe Cassavetes. She also just completed Sky, starring opposite Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus. She is currently filming Future Punks, along with a starring role in Syndicate Smashers opposite Mel Novak. Laurene made a smashing impression as "Molly", one of two female wrestlers, who are managed by 'Peter Falk', in Robert Aldrich's uproariously raucous comedy, ...All the Marbles (1981). The fiercely athletic and aggressive Landon also performed a lion's share of her own stunts in the film. Landon was very funny as a daffy stewardess in Airplane II: The Sequel (1982) and was excellent as Mike Hammer's loyal secretary "Velda" in I, the Jury (1982). Laurene was especially strong and impressive in two delightful action/adventure features for director Matt Cimber: she's the titular rugged warrior woman in Hundra (1983) and a gutsy half-Native American spitfire in Yellow Hair and the Fortress of Gold (1984). Landon was once again, on the money, effective and engaging as courageous policewoman "Teresa Mallory" in the terrific Maniac Cop (1988) and its superior 1990 sequel, Maniac Cop 2 (1990). Her character Teresa in the "Maniac Cop" films was named after her beloved mother.

Sverige!

Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance (2015) is our third entry for Sequel Month, and boy do we have a tough time making sense of this thing. Much of the cast from the first film returns, along with a gaggle of porn stars and Tommy Wiseau. Because why not? In the second half we talk Deadpool […]

Greetings, citizens! We are super excited today because boy, do we have a bonus episode for you... As most of you know, Samurai Cop is a much beloved and revered flick here at Second Class Cinema. We covered it in one of our earliest episodes over a year ago, and just recently we viewed and discussed the much-anticipated sequel, Samurai Cop II: Deadly Vengeance. Deadly Vengeance was total shlock-madness that left us with a ton of questions. So I guess we were pretty lucky that Samurai Cop himself, Mathew Karedas, offered to chat with us and answer our many questions about this crazy piece of cinema. Matt took us on a complete tour of making this movie- discussing everything from how he came to be Samurai Cop in Amir Shirvan’s original picture, to rising from the dead, to what it was like working with Tommy Wiseau. His hilarious anecdotes on the funding/filming/release (and beyond) has given us so much insight into the blood, sweat and pure insanity that made this movie possible. It was truly a pleasure doing this interview and we can't thank Matt enough for chatting with us at length about his awesome role in B-movie history. @2ndClassPodcast secondclasscinema.com followingfilms.com
We were VERY excited to watch Erik's pick this week. He just recently bought this on bluray and considering we watched Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance a few weeks ago, it was time for us to watch Deadliest Prey, the sequel to Deadly Prey that came out 27 years later. We did a compare and contrast to Samurai Cop 2 and Deadly Prey whilst expressing our successes and failures. Tune in and listen to us discuss aaaaaall these deadly dads.@2ndClassPodcastsecondclasscinema.comfollowingfilms.com
It’s been a great year on Second Class Cinema and for our last episode of the year, we did a group pick! Special guest Tyler returns for his third episode in a row to help us with this one.You can rent in on Vimeo here! Is it worth the $8.99?
