Discover how Peter and James championed grace over legalistic tradition, paving the way for a faith that knows no borders. We'll celebrate the spirit of generosity exemplified by the United Methodist Church's global initiatives and local kindness. Hear the heartwarming story of Velda, a librarian whose simple, yet profound act of kindness, facilitated by our church's support, underscored the essence of community. Mutual Broadcasting System 1953. Larry Haines as Mike Hammer. The premiere of That Hammer Guy on December 30, 1952, was the beginning of a ninety-one episode series of hard-boiled Mickey Spillane mystery and adventures. The series premiered with Inner Sanctum workhorse Larry Haines as Mike Hammer, aided by Jan Miner in the role of Velda, Hammer's secretary and love interest, as well as several other roles in the ensemble cast. By about three months into the run, the series attempts--rather unsuccessfully--to rename itself, Mickey Spillane-Mystery or Mickey Spillane, Mystery depending on the outlet. Neither name ever really took, and the majority of the newspaper and magazine listings of the era continued to refer to the series as either That Hammer Guy, Mike Hammer, or Mickey Spillane Mysteries.

Petrodollar? There's no such thing. We didn't transition from a gold- to an oil-backed dollar. There was something else, another kind of dollar—hidden by a conspiracy of silence between '44 and '73. Instead the world transitioned from a gold-backed US dollar to a offshore, ledger-based bank-centered eurodollar. I, the Jury (1982) Category: Detectives 2/3 Sure this movie is about stone cold detective, Mike Hammer, but the stand out is Velda. She is a national treasure of a woman! Is the plot a little hard to follow? Was Jack bi? Who printed those orgy bingo cards? What's Dan's suit situation? Did McHammer have a cartoon show? None of this matters. All that matters is Velda. -Crash and Burn

But for Brenda and Pearlyn, who have been together for 17 years, they knew from the moment they met each other, that having a child was a priority. In this episode, I sit down with them and talk about how the Manor came to be. Pre-COVID, Trundle Manor was open to the public for tours, comedy shows, movie nights, weddings and much more. Meet McHugh America's #1 Secret Agent, a combination of Mickey Spillaine's Mike Hammer and Ian Flemming's James Bond. In this first book in the series, McHugh takes a leave of absence from his spy work to help out his lover's sister who has found a dead Mafioso in her apartment, her boyfriend missing, and half San Francisco's mobsters after her. But soon, the twisting trail leads back to his home base, and he finds the case involves not only the Cosa Nostra but has a government aspect as well and is ordered back in service by the General who commands his loyalty. Foreign killers, Mafia Killers, it's a killer of a plot involving millions of dollars in stolen gold, international smugglers, and enough shootouts to send 007 screaming into retirement and frighten Hammer into surrendering his PI license. And then there is Loris. What can we say about Loris? You will have to listen about her for yourself. Move over Velda. Make room Moneypenny. There has never been a woman like Loris before. Or a hero like McHugh. You won't be able to wait for his other adventures. Laurene Landon laurenelandon.biz so GET BIZZY! is an American film and television actress. Laurene first began appearing in movies in the 1980s. She is best known for her roles in Maniac Cop and Maniac Cop 2, Hundra, Airplane II: The Sequel, and ...All the Marbles with Peter Falk. Landon began acting in a bit part in 1979's Bitter Heritage, also released as Naked in My Grave. She was cast as a featured skater in Roller Boogie in that same year. Recently, she starred opposite George Lazenby in Hunter, played Detective Higgins in Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance, and had a supporting role in the feature film Day Out of Days, directed by Zoe Cassavetes. She also just completed Sky, starring opposite Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus. She is currently filming Future Punks, along with a starring role in Syndicate Smashers opposite Mel Novak. Laurene made a smashing impression as "Molly", one of two female wrestlers, who are managed by 'Peter Falk', in Robert Aldrich's uproariously raucous comedy, ...All the Marbles (1981). The fiercely athletic and aggressive Landon also performed a lion's share of her own stunts in the film. Landon was very funny as a daffy stewardess in Airplane II: The Sequel (1982) and was excellent as Mike Hammer's loyal secretary "Velda" in I, the Jury (1982). Laurene was especially strong and impressive in two delightful action/adventure features for director Matt Cimber: she's the titular rugged warrior woman in Hundra (1983) and a gutsy half-Native American spitfire in Yellow Hair and the Fortress of Gold (1984). Landon was once again, on the money, effective and engaging as courageous policewoman "Teresa Mallory" in the terrific Maniac Cop (1988) and its superior 1990 sequel, Maniac Cop 2 (1990). Her character Teresa in the "Maniac Cop" films was named after her beloved mother.

Prelude: We build our personas, our paragons, and the world of DIE as the players reunite before their 20-year anniversary Twenty years ago, we played a game. We recorded that game and shared it over the airwaves of our high school radio station, WKEY AM 1360. People listened. So did other things. Twenty years later, we were invited to play a live reunion show for the hardcore fans. Little did we know, this time the game was real. For our first Dead Ghost production, we are diving into Rowan, Rook and Decard's fantasy horror game: DIE RPG. In DIE RPG you play a group of real-world, deeply-flawed adults who are transported into a fantasy realm via a predatory, sinister roleplaying game. There, they're transformed into Paragons and given strange and frightening powers. In this world, the players are confronted with their truest desires and deepest fears, and only they can decide when the game is over. Our players take on the role of the show's cast and supporters, creating Personas (the real-world person that each player—including the GM—plays) and Paragons (The six types of adventurers a Persona can be transformed into when they enter the world of Die).
